Lloyd POV

"Splenda!" I run up to her and she embraces me into her arms. Tears threaten to slip out of my eyes as I break from the hug and look at her. She looks younger, not by much, but her eyes are more full of life and she has less wrinkles. "Is it really you?"

She chuckles. "Yes, Lloyd, it's me." I laugh, taking in her sight again. I'm overwhelmed with so much joy, I never want this moment to end.

But, like always, I remember something.

"Wait, but, you died." I say. She nods.

"Yes, I did. But, I'm more than alive here." She says happily.

I was afraid you'd say that... "But, if your here, and your here," I look at the First Spinjitzu Master. "Then, that means... I... died?" I ask them, fear suddenly flooding through me. Memories begin flooding back to me.  I remember my friends, where I'm from, my boyfriend, the Overlord- 

"But what about the Overlord?!" I ask them, panicked.

"Lloyd, it'll be okay." Splenda says, trying to calm me.

"You aren't dead, but you will be soon.  You were just barely hanging on by a hair when I pulled you away from the clutches of death and brought you here." The Fist Spinjitzu Master says.

I sigh in partial relief.  I'm not dead, which is good, but knowing I'm that close to never going back scares me.  "You are on the very edge of life and death," he continues.  "That's why your memories have just come back.  My presence is keeping you in place temporarily."

"Well, I have to go back.  I have to defeat the Overlord and save my father, save Ninjago!" I tell him.

He sighs.  "I knew you would say that.  I believe there may be a way," he says.

I look at him, urging him to continue.  " I can try to activate the powers I have passed onto you." He says.

I stare at him. "What powers?  And, what do you mean by activate?" I ask him.

"Well, every child born with an elemental power goes through a period of an elemental activation.  It can happen at any time, when you are young, or when you are old.  It all depends on the power and what it may take to activate it.  An activation happens either naturally, like when you reach a certain age, or when you are in a stressful situation that requires you to protect either yourself or someone/something else, like when your power first revealed itself when you were fighting those shadow assassins a few months ago."

"Now, the difference between a normal activation and a forced activation," he continues.  "Is that a forced activation does not occur naturally or in a stressful situation.  A forced activation involves either you or someone else trying to force the element out, which can be very dangerous if done incorrectly.  The power could surface too quickly and become unstable, putting both you and/or the other person at risk.  It could even cause permanent physical or psychological damage to you, the host."

I take this all in.  "So, you want to do that to me?  A forced activation?" 

He nods.  "It does come with it's consequences.  And with this specific element, you may loose your memories."

My eyes grow wide.  I look at the ground, deep in thought.  "And this is the only way?"

He nods.  "Sadly, yes, this is all I can do."

I stay silent.  "What is the element?" I finally ask.

"The element is very unique, and once it is activated, all your current elements will merge together in order to form it, and you will become the strongest elemental master in the whole realm since I.  It will even be strong enough to defeat the Overlord."

I stare at him in silence.  If I do this, I risk all my memories, but if I don't, Ninjago will perish and I will die.  I look back up at him, my hands trembling as I process my decision.

"Do it." I tell him.

He looks at me, silence coming between us.  Eventually, he nods, and Splenda places her hand on my shoulder, squeezing it.  I look over to see her staring at me with warm eyes glittering with several emotions.  Pride, sadness, joy, everything.  The First Spinjitzu Master walks up to me and Splenda releases my shoulder, taking a step back.  "I'm so proud of you." She says to me. "Tell the others I say hi."

I smile, sending her a look of gratitude.  The First Spinjitzu Master places his hands on the sides of my head and closes his eyes.  I imitate him, closing my eyes and concentrating.  Then, I feel it.

I feel a surge of overwhelming power run through my veins, giving me a burst of energy even my own energy powers could never give me.  It's almost too much, and I end up wincing out of discomfort.  But then, the feeling of being outside vanishes.  I can no longer feel the soft hands of the First Spinjutzu Master on my head, in fact, I can feel gravity weighing on me, and I feel as if I'm laying on the cold, hard floor.  I can feel another's presence looking over me, their touch sending shocks of warmth through me, and the feeling of peace leaves my body.

And suddenly, all memories of what was and what is, leaves my head.

No One's POV

Kai cries over his lover's body.  He doesn't want to accept the fact that he's gone.  He had just found the love of his life, he couldn't loose him now.  "P-please!" He sobs out uncontrollably.  "Please, stay with me baby!  I love you!" He screams, his words hard to make out from his constant hiccups.

He lays on his lovers chest, sobbing into it, not even caring that blood is soaking into his gi.  He stays in that position for a while when he notices a change.  His lover's body has started glowing.  Not glowing like Haru when he's shapeshifting, oh no, this glow is golden.  There are even tiny golden particles floating up into the air, like dust in an abandoned house.

The fire ninja stares in shock as the pools of blood disappear into golden pollen-looking particles, and his ribs and other broken bones seem to mend themselves on their own.  Cuts and bruises heal themselves as well, and to the fire ninja's confusion and surprise, his lover's body starts levitating. 

The green ninja starts levitating off the ground and slowly raises into an upright position, hovering in place at least four feet off the ground.  And finally, the light dies down a little, only leaving a thin layer of light surrounding him. He opens his eyes.  But, instead of being met with the usual set of heterochromia eyes, Kai is met with pupil-less, voided, glowing eyes, one green and one gold. 

Kai stares in shock at Lloyd.  "L-Lloyd?" He asks in disbelief. 

Suddenly, a loud crash is heard from above them on the roof.  During their moment, Wu had been trying to fight off his brother alone since Katelyn was too injured to help.  He was able to hold him off  for a bit, but in the end, it ended with him being trapped under the Overlord, one of his claws squeezing his neck, slowly choking him to death.

Lloyd hears this, and instantly extends his wings and takes off into the air faster than ever before.  In fact, he was moving so fast that you'll miss his movements if you blink even once.  Lloyd stops once he's out of the hole and looming over his enemy.  The Overlord looks at him, first in surprise, then in annoyance.

"You really don't know how to die, do you?" He asked Lloyd.  Lloyd doesn't respond.  His only response, in fact, is diving incredibly fast towards the Overlord and ramming right into him, hooking his arms around the Overlord's torso and pushing him off of Wu.  The result is both of them falling over the edge of the building and tumbling through the air and towards the ground.

Lloyd repositions himself so he's still holding onto the Overlord, but he gets his feet under him and places them on the Overlord's stomach.  Once in position, he extends his legs and he kicks the Overlord far away from him, putting some distance between them.  Lloyd flaps his wings so he's no longer falling and stays still in the air, waiting for the Overlord to make his move.  The Overlord also catches himself and stays suspended in the air, glaring at Lloyd in a furious rage.

Their fight has caught the attention of those on the ground, and they now watch in suspense and anticipation as the scene plays out before them.  The Overlord charges at Lloyd, but he dodges.  Watching in slow motion, the Overlord attempts to stop himself from flying past Lloyd too much, but before he can do so, Lloyd sticks out his hand at him and a golden light appears in place of his normal elements.  The Overlord's eyes widen in realization as Lloyd releases the powerful blast and it hit's the Overlord with pin-point accuracy.

The Overlord's is blasted back and knocked out of the air.  He regains himself, though, and flies up again to be on the same level as Lloyd.  "How?!  How do you have his power?"  He asks Lloyd.

Lloyd says nothing.  He raises his hand once again and aims a blast at him.  The Overlord dodges the blast, but fails to do so with the next one.  The audience watches in awe and is sitting on the edge of their seats in suspense.

"What the heck is going on?" Jay asks his teammates from the ground.  They all either shrug or are too invested in the battle to answer.  Misako, on the other hand, is praying to whoever is out there to give her son strength and for her husband to be alright.

"Enough of this!" The Overlord's yells as he lines up a blast.  Lloyd's eyes widen and he prepares to dodge.  He successfully does so with the first few blasts, but the fourth ends up hitting him on the tail.  He yelps in pain and uses this opportunity to line up another blast at the Overlord.  Only, this time, it's not a blast that comes out. 

As the Overlord closes in on Lloyd, ready to end his life, Lloyd stays hovering in the air, staying where he is.  He opens both his arms and closes his eyes in concentration.  The Overlord laughs, thinking the green ninja have given up and is waiting for him to take his life once again.  The Overlord charges at Lloyd with darkness in all four of his hands.  At the very last second, when the Overlord is just inches away from his face, a huge surge of golden energy explodes from Lloyd and pushed the Overlord back. 

Golden rays of light engulfs Lloyd's form, and a large golden dragon made out of pure light rises from Lloyd and surrounds him, making Lloyd's form the centerpiece of it's chest.  The dragon isn't just his powers, but his spirit that has been brought to life, and is now a marionette, with Lloyd controlling them from his place in their chest.  The dragon's form is made of complete golden light while it's eyes and webbing in it's wings are made of green light, like what Lloyd's energy use to look like.

The Overlord stares in fear at the dragon in front of him.  He is so petrified of the Fisrt Spinjitzu Master's power, that he can't do anything but hover in place.  Lloyd controls the creature to fly closer to the Overlord and line up a golden blast at him.

"No!" He yells as he summons darkness into his hands, ready to shoot it at Lloyd.  Lloyd controls the creature to release the blast and it does so, firing the blast that engulfs the Overlord completely, surrounding him in so much light that he is blinded.  The Overlord yells out in defeat as his form completely melts away and disintegrates, leaving behind nothing but Garmadon himself.

Garmadon grows unconscious and starts to fall out of the air.  Lloyd's spirit catches him in it's claws and starts to descend and soar down to the audience below.  Since the Overlord is gone, all the assassins turn into mist and the warriors fall onto the ground, each into heaps of rock piles.  The citizens of Ninjago snap out of their trance and try to figure out what just happened.  Kai has climbed out of the hole and his helping Katelyn and Wu get off the roof with Haru's assistance.

Lloyd's spirit lands on the ground and gently lays Garmadon on his back.  Lloyd looks around, his spirit imitating his movements, and examines the audience as police and firemen and first responders all enter the area to see if everyone's okay, and too gaze upon the magic unfolding in front of them.  They're all speechless, every singe one of them.

News reporters swarm around his teammates to ask them thousands of questions, and get as many pictures of the scene as possible.  Something snaps Lloyd out of his trance, though.  He turns himself and his spirit towards the tower and takes off towards the roof once again.  Once he's there, he looks at his family.  They stare at him, wide-eyed, Kai especially.  Lloyd holds out his hand, causing his spirit to do so as well so they can all climb into his spirit's claw.

With a little hesitance, they climb into it's claw and Lloyd starts descending towards the ground once more.  He lands and let's them climb off.  Zane, Pixal, and Ash run up to Katelyn and Wu and examine their injuries, while Kai just stares at Lloyd.  To Kai, Lloyd in his current state is the most beautiful thing in the entire universe, the most gorgeous creature he has ever set eyes on.

But then, suddenly, all the energy leaves Lloyd's body.  Lloyd's breath hitches and his spirit slowly fades away as his eyes fall closed.  He faints, and he starts to fall out of the air.  Everyone watches in horror as his body continues to fall closer and closer to the ground.  Before his body can hit the floor, though, Zane makes an ice slide that catches Lloyd's body and safely delivers it right into Zane's arms.  Zane gently lays his body on the ground and frantically searches for injuries, breathing out in relief after finding none.

Kai falls onto his knees next to Lloyd and cradles his body in his arms.  He kisses him relentlessly all across his face, ending it in a hug.  He was just so glad that his boyfriend wasn't dead, he didn't care about anything else, because Lloyd was a hero, he was his hero.

And he would never forget that.

~~~One Month Later~~~

Kai POV

It's been a month since the final battle.  A few days after the incident, almost all of Ninjago had heard about the boy who controlled a dragon made of magic, the evil Overlord, and the ninja's newest recruits.  We had introduced the citizens of Ninjago to Katelyn, Ashley, and Haru a few days after the battle. 

We weren't sure if we wanted to tell Ninjago about the Dark Island, so for now, we've decided to keep it a secret and tell news reporters the former Silent Soarers were from a remote place in Ninjago.  But, we couldn't keep the dragonkin race a secret from the people for long.  After all, they had seen Lloyd pretty clearly when he was fighting the Overlord, and they had asked many questions about it.  Many people were pretty freaked out at first once we told them, and we'd even gotten questions from doctors and scientists if they could run some tests on the Garmadon family, to which we give them a hard pass.

Katelyn went to retrieve Mr. Finch after the battle, and after that, we said goodbye to him as he sailed away towards the Dark Island.  Now, the city has begun rebuilding and even remodeling after the Overlord's destructive rein.  We've all decided to help as well, because after all, we were partly the cause of the destruction to begin with.

Now, it's January.  It's cold, yes, and the former Silent Soarers are still having a hard time adjusting to the temperature, especially Lloyd and Katelyn since they're half cold-blooded or something. But otherwise, things have been pretty good.

Now, your probably wondering about Lloyd.  Well, after he fainted, he didn't wake up for several days.  I was getting more and more worried each day.  He wasn't in a coma, thank the First Spinjitzu Master, but he still wouldn't wake up.  Ashley would do a healing session with him every day to try and return his strength to him, which helped a little I guess.  Zane kept assuring me Lloyd was just exhausted, and he'd wake up soon, but after the condition I saw him in last time, I wasn't taking any chances.

Katelyn's arm was very broken, and she now wears a thick cast with all of our names signed on it for fun. She hasn't trained in a while, but after she gets the cast off and does physical therapy, she'll be back in the game. Speaking of therapy, my teammates made me do a few sessions of it because I kept waking up in the middle of the night, screaming out Lloyd's name with tears in my eyes because of the sight I had seen before Lloyd obtained his golden powers. That image will never leave me, and it will most likely haunt my nightmares for a long time to come, but knowing Lloyd is alive and well makes it all the bit easier

Now, I walk up the snowy steps of the monastery, my teeth chattering as the bitter wind cuts my face.  Why did I wear jeans?  I have so many pairs of sweatpants!  I open the doors of the gate to see Zane meditating in a short sleeved shirt and jeans, the cold not effecting him at all.  What the heck is with this guy?  I think as I walk past him, not wanting to bother his concentration.

I grab the door handle and turn it, opening the door and stepping into the warmth of the heated monastery.  I shiver as I remove my coat and shake the snow out from my hair.  I remove my shoes and start heading towards the kitchen.  As I'm passing by the living room, I hear someone shuffling around on the couch.  I stop walking and peak inside, seeing a figure curled up under a blanket.

I smile.  I walk on silent feet over to the person, already knowing who it is.  I pat them on their side.  "Knock knock." I say.  The person shuffles around a little, and then I see the blankets lift and a pair of eyes look at me in annoyance.  My heart instantly melts at the sight.  I try to contain a laugh. 

"What?" Lloyd asks me in an annoyed tone.

"Babe, what are you doing?" I ask him.

He looks at me.  "Are you aware of the temperature outside?" He asks me in shock, wondering how I could ever ask such a question.

I laugh.  "Yes, I was just outside." I say.  "Are you cold?"

"What do ya think?" He asks me.  I laugh again.  Lloyd hates the cold more than anything now.  And, well, I couldn't agree with him more.  I sit down next to him and remove the blanket just enough so his head is exposed and I can see his hair all sticking up and out of place from the static.  I laugh again, not being able to contain myself.  He grumbles and covers his head again with the blanket.

"Oh, come'er," I say as I take him into my arms and make him fall into my embrace, still wrapped in a cocoon of blankets.  He doesn't protest, and instead leans into my warmth. 

After he had woken up from his sleep, he didn't remember who anyone was for a few weeks.  It was almost as if all his memories had just vanished.  It was really hard for all of us during those weeks.  We all were going through a rough time, and Lloyd was especially uncomfortable with us all telling him who he supposedly was.  But, seemingly overnight, all his memories had returned to him a few weeks later.  After he got them back, everyone was so thrilled and relieved, but we still wondered what had happened for him to not only to loose them in the first place, but to suddenly remember so quickly. 

The day he got his memories back, he started telling us that Splenda had said 'hi', and he even asked us once where the First Spinjitzu Master was.  We were all so confused and worried, and thought Lloyd had hit his head during the fight after all.  But, the next day, when we asked him why he said those things, he said he didn't know what we were talking about.  It was almost like he had just completely forgotten.

Lloyd and Katelyn have been spending more alone time with Garmadon and Misako lately.  I'm honestly so happy for them.  After so much hardship, their family was finally reunited.  Lloyd and Katelyn have even grown comfortable enough to start calling them 'Mom' and 'Dad' now.

Lloyd snuggles into me more.  I plant a kiss on his head.  "Hey Lloyd?" I ask him.

He looks up from his blankets.  "Yeah?"

"We've never been on an official date before." I point out.

He thinks for a moment.  "Oh, yeah, I guess your right." He finally says.

I look at him in his beautiful heterochromia eyes. "So, wanna go on a date?" I ask him.

He giggles. "Sure hothead, I'd love to."
