Ik I said I would edit the book before I posted again but I'm trying to take advantage of the fact that I'm actually in the mood to write for once. Also, thank you for 910+ views!!

No One's POV

Lloyd charges at the Overlord in complete rage, scaring everyone around him. They've never seen him like this before, he's always been the sweet and sarcastic prankster they all know and love. No one, not even Katelyn or Splenda, the two most important and closest people to him, have never seen him in so much rage before. He turned into his dragonkin form and huge surges of energy are radiating off of him. His eyes have faded into pupil-less glowing green abysses outlined by thick droplets of tears streaming from his eyes. His lips are drawn back in a dragon-like snarl that bears his sharp white fangs. He is moving 10x faster than he could before due to the immense amount of energy surrounding him, causing him to get multiple good hits on the dark lord.

His own father, Garmadon, looks at him with complete shock. Zane and Haru take interest in the fight as they tend to a dying Splenda.  They are still slightly cowering at the sudden surge of rage and power illuminating off of the teen. Despite so much power, though, the Overlord is putting up a good fight against him. Despite Lloyd's new charges of power, the Overlord still manages to get good hits on the young dragonkin as well. They go back and forth between hits for what seems like the longest time until the Overlord slips behind Lloyd and grabs him by the tail, swinging him around and slamming him into the wall so hard it cracks behind him.

Lloyd falls to the ground but doesn't stay down. He climbs onto all fours and growls at the Overlord, very slowly moving out of the spot he fell. The others become shocked at the animal-like behavior Lloyd is insinuating. The Overlord looks down on him with a glare. "Still not giving up, hm?" He mocks. Lloyd takes off into the air with such force the ground where he once stood breaks into a small crater. Lloyd creates a large ball of energy in his hands and blasts it at the Overlord, who also blasts darkness at him, causing the blasts to collide and fight for domination. After a few seconds, Lloyd starts to loose and the darkness starts to counter the light.

Lloyd then imagines Splenda's face. Her smile, her laugh, her sometimes harsh lessons, and all she has done for him, for his sister, for all of the Silent Soarers. She raised them like her own since none of them had parents, or at least that's what they all thought before the ninja came along. But the Overlord ruined it. He ruined her chance of living a full life. He would no longer see her smile, hear her laugh, or experience her harsh lessons. He would never get to thank Splenda Embers for being the mother he never had, or the greatest mentor he's ever had the pleasure to study under.

His tears reform and he cries out in pain for his murdered mentor. His energy beam increases in power and it pushes the darkness back, blasting the Overlord and filling the room with a blinding green light. The light fades and Lloyd lands on the ground, standing tall. The Overlord, who now lays defeated on the ground, looks up at him with sharp gritted teeth and a deadly glare. Lloyd glares back. "It's over." Lloyd says in a strange voice. It sounds like there are two people talking at once when he speaks. The Overlord growls and looks around. He then stops and a grin grows on his face, his sharp yellow teeth showing through his lips.

"Oh, it's NEVER over." He says in return. His human-like body melts into a purple and black mist, much like what the shadow assassins are made out of, and the shadow rises up into the air, leaving the golden armor he once wore on the ground. The shadow darts across the room and straight at Garmadon. Before anyone can react, the shadow flies into Garmadon and a sudden white light shines around him. His screams of pain are drowned out by the echoing laugh of the Overlord. The light explodes across the room and fades to show a black skinned creature with jet black hair in place of Sensei Garmadon.

The laughing of the Overlord resumes and the creature in place of Garmadon stands up. The others are startled by the appearance of the creature.  The creature seems to have the body of a human, but the human has four arms with sharp claws, a black dragonkin form with spikes in place of Garmadon's furry tail and no purple scales.  He has spiky horns on top of his head, dragon-like legs, and pupil-less purple eyes that look and glow like an abyss, and he has a mouth full of sharp white teeth as well.  He is also twice the size of Lloyd.

"G-Garmadon?" Zane whispers.

"No..." Haru says.

Lloyd looks at the creature in horror.  Garmadon, the man he just found out was his long lost father, is now possessed and in the clutches of the dark lord.  The newly reborn Overlord looks straight at Lloyd, a crooked smile crossing his face.  "Like I said, you can't defeat me."  He says in a voice sounding like Lloyd's, but darker.  He charges at Lloyd with full force and knockes him across the room and into the wall.  The walls of the room shake as large cracks break open on the walls and across the floor.  Lloyd sends energy blasts the Overlord's way but they come to no avail as the Overlord deflects them with one wave of his arm.  The overlord lines up a blast at Lloyd and he dodges every one mid-flight as the Overlord continuously sends them at him.  His blasts hit the walls and support beams as Lloyd dodges them causing the building to become weaker by each blast.  Zane and Haru notice this.

"Haru!  This part of the building is going to collapse on us if we don't get out of here soon!" Zane says to Haru.  Haru looks around in a panic and back at Zane.

"What about Splenda?!?  And Lloyd, and Garmadon?!?" He says with tears in his eyes as he looks at a lifeless Splenda.  Zane looks up at Lloyd, unsure of what to do.  He watches as a blast finally hits the blonde and it's so powerful it sends him to the ground.  Lloyd attempts to get up but the Overlord lands next to him, darkness summoned in two of his four hands. 

"Say hello to your grandfather for me." He says to the blonde as he aims a blast at him.  Before he can shoot, the titanium ninja sends a sudden ice blast at him, freezing part of his face.  The Overlord stumbles away from the teen slightly, swinging his tail around furiously as he tries to break the ice.  He backs away enough for a large rock from the ceiling to fall onto Lloyd's head, knocking him out cold.  Zane grabs the blonde and drags him out of the room just in time for the place to start falling apart.  Several large rocks fall and block the entrance to the room, leaving the Overlord to glare at the closed off entrance, radiating with rage.  He roars loudly into the air as the building falls apart on top of him.

Lloyd POV

I can hear several people call my name.  The voices are unclear but I can still tell they're saying my name.  Some voices sound far away, and some sounding close by.  All I can see is darkness, nothing but an empty, black abyss of nothingness.  I can feel someone holding my hands, or, no, two different people holding each one of my hands.  One feels very warm, one feels more cold.  It's unclear, but I can hear someone telling me to... wake up?  I try to find any kind of energy I have left to open my eyes.  I try to remember what happened.  A vision comes to me, there was fighting, and blood, but, who's was it?  Then I remember.  Splenda... SPLENDA.

My eyes shoot open and I gasp for breath.  A blinding light floods my vision causing me to turn my head and squeeze my eyes shut.  The sudden light burns my eyes.  I can then see the light somewhat disappear through my eyelids and I slowly open my eyes again, blinking away the tiredness and spots.  I realize I'm still in my dragonkin form and I'm outside as I look up to see many unhappy faces staring at me.  "Guys, give him room." I can hear someone say.  I look around to see it was Zane who said that.  I sit up in a sudden panic remembering Splenda.

"Woah, hey, easy buddy." Cole tells me.  I ignore him.

"Where's Splenda?!?" I ask them in a panic.  Some of them avert their eyes from me and others look at each other with sad and pitiful expressions.  I then look around to see the Silent Soarers are nowhere to be seen, it's only the ninja team.  "And where are the others?!  Where's my sister?!"  Kai, who was one of the people holding my hand, is kneeling in front of me, a sad expression on his face.

"Lloyd..." he starts slowly in a soft voice.  He grabs my other hand away from Misako, who was the other one holding my hand, and squeezes them.  "We... we did everything we could."

I look at him in disbelief, not wanting it to be true.  "W-what do you mean?"

"Lloyd... Splenda, she... she didn't make it."

I feel the color drain from my face.  my heart stops and my veins turn cold.  I don't realize it but I'm squeezing Kai's hands so hard he's slightly cringing, and my knuckles are the same color as my face.  My wings droop to the floor and now sit limp on the cool grass.  Through the ringing of my ears I can hear crying in the distance.  the crying sounds extremely familiar.  Wide-eyed and like a hollow shell I struggle to stand up with my stiff and injured body and slowly make my way over to where the crying is coming from.  My legs are a shaking mess and they feel like they're made out of spaghetti.  I don't know where I'm going noir have I even looked to see my surroundings, but I somehow find myself at the very beach Splenda would train us on to see my sister on her knees, in the sand, crying her heart out.

I approach her and stiffly fall onto my knees beside her, wearing the same shocked expression I had then I woke up.  Katelyn notices my presence and looks at me through puffy and teary eyes.  "Lloyd..." she says so quietly it's almost inaudible.  I shakily embrace her into my arms and she spares no moment to wrap her arms around me.  I tighten my grip and start trembling like crazy.  Tears escape my eyes and I finally close them, wrapping my arm around Katelyn's head and crying my eyes out.  It takes all of my strength not to cry out a piercing shriek into the sky.  My tail and wings wrap around us and we sit there for what feels like an eternity.

Kai POV

I watch from the tree line as Lloyd shakily embraces his sister, and then breaks down into a sobbing mess.  It's taking all of my power not to run over there right now and embrace him and his sister into my arms.  Ash and Haru are back at Ash's place to have their own private pity party.  I feel so bad for them, especially the twins.  They lost two parental figures in the matter of an hour.  An hour!  I can't imagine how they must be feeling right now.  And with Garmadon being possessed my that monster Wu and Misako are heartbroken, not to mention the ninja.

During team A's fight with the Overlord, team B had been busy fighting stone warriors.  The shadow assassins were nowhere in sight the whole time.  A little odd, but understandable considering it's the brightest part of the day and their weakness is light.  We had a bit of an easy battle, so I find it extremely unfair that my sweet angel and the rest of the Silent Soarers have to endure such a horrible fate for Splenda.

"Kai...?" I hear my sister's voice from behind me.  I turn around to see her rubbing her arm and looking at me with sad eyes.  "What do you think will happen now?"

I stare at her.  "I... I don't know."  I rub my temple and close my eyes.  "This is a horrible loss, Nya!" I say.  "The Silent Soarers are absolutely heartbroken and grieving, and Lloyd-" I stop and look at the love of my life.  He looks so frail and vulnerable, I've only ever seen him like this a few times but he's never been this bad.  "I'm... I'm scared for him, Nya."

She looks at me with pitiful eyes.  "You like him more than just a friend, don't you?" I look at her, shocked.

"Did Jay tell you?" I ask her.  She shakes her head.

"I had no idea he knew.  I figured it out myself.  I can tell when my own brother is in love.  Also, you just show all the signs."

"You can't tell anyone Nya.  We aren't ready to come out yet."

She looks at me, slightly shocked.  "You're already dating?"

"I guess."

She hums in response and looks at Lloyd.  "After he gets home you should comfort him.  He seems the most comfortable around you."

"Yeah... but, I don't know.  I feel like that's not my place."

"Not your place?"

"I feel like he won't want me around him.  He'll probably be with Katelyn all the time anyway since they're really close."

"Well, you never know unless you try." Silence follows for a few moments until Nya comes in for a hug.  We hug as we think of all that went wrong, what could have been if some things were different.  Maybe if I had been there, Splenda wouldn't be dead or Garmadon would still be here.  Maybe the Overlord would've been defeated once and for all if just one other person had been there.  I sigh as I think these thoughts and guilt washes over me.  "You're not blaming yourself, are you?" Nya asks me.

"N-no." I answer not very convincingly.  Nya sighs.

"What could you have done?  It's not your fault, it isn't anyone's fault.  There is nothing anyone could have done to prevent this." 

I look over at Lloyd.  He looks so broken, so destroyed.  "I can't stand to see him like this." I tell my sister in a very worried tone.

"After he's off the beach, you should fulfill your part of the relationship and comfort him.  If there's anyone he needs the most right now, it's you."

I look over at him once more.  The twins are in the same position as before, tears not running dry.  "Okay..." I say to my sister.  All I want to do is hold him in my arms and never let go until all of his pain goes away.

No One's POV

~~~time skip~~~

That night a funeral was made for the fallen master.  All the people from the village attended it in great sadness and pity, for Splenda was very well known throughout the village, being the master and mother figure to the Silent Soarers.  The Silent Soarers sat in complete silence and tears throughout the whole night, comforting each other as best they can.  Eventually though, the sun sets and everyone leaves except for the ninja and Silent Soarers, who say their last goodbyes to the master of foreseeing destiny.  Haru manages to lift Ashley to her feet and slowly make their way back to their house while Misako convinces her daughter to rise and go back to her house to get some sleep.  Lloyd, however, takes a lot more convincing.  Misako tries her hardest to sway the young adult to stand but it comes to no avail.  Everyone else tries as well but the blond stays down on his knees, head hanging low.

Kai signals to Nya and Jay to give the two some time alone and they take the hint.  They heard the group away so the two can have alone time.  He sinks onto his knees in front of Lloyd, the cold sand and breeze chilling him through his clothes, and embraces him into a hug.  The blonde takes no time to wrap his arms around Kai tightly and cry into his chest.  Kai's warmth is comforting to Lloyd, it makes him feel safe and secure.  Eventually, his crying dies down and Lloyd gives into exhaustion.  He had given the battle all of his energy, yet it came to no avail. 

Unable to keep his eyes open, the blonde lets sleep take him from the pains of the unforgiving world and he falls limp in the fire ninja's arms.  Kai notices and kisses Lloyd on the crown of his head.  "I love you..." he says softly, giving Lloyd one more kiss.  He then picks Lloyd up bridal style and carries him off to his house.  He looks down at his love.  He looks so hollow.  Kai silently prays to the First Spinjitzu Master that Lloyd will be able to rise above this tragedy and regain enough strength and motivation to defeat the Overlord once and for all, and free Garmadon from the clutches of evil.

Kai arrives at Lloyd's place and walks down the halls of the house.  He opens the hidden door, descends the staircase into the basement and into Lloyd's room.  He undresses Lloyd into something more comfortable and lays him in bed.  He kisses him on the head once more and starts to leave the room, only to turn around once again to look at him.  "After he gets home you should comfort him.  He seems the most comfortable around you."  He hears his sister's voice ring out in his head.  He slowly moves back towards Lloyd and sits down on the bed.  What if he isn't motivated to get up tomorrow?  He thinks as he watches the blonde's chest rise and fall with each slow breath.  Drowsiness washes over the ninja as well and he decides he will stay the night and be there for his love when he wakes.  He lays down on the bed and pulls the covers over him.  There is much to do in the future, and the fire ninja isn't sure if everything will turn out as a happy ending as most would hope.
