21 - Dominant

"So Harry didn't really leave the dorm did he?"

Blaise jumped and turned around. "I value my life, thank you."

Ron laughed and shook his head. "Does it really count as telling if I guessed the answer on my own?"

Blaise shrugged. "I guess not. Either way you didn't ask me to confirm or deny your question. Additionally we were never talking about this and Draco is to think we never spoke to each other while on this trip. I don't want him blaming me by default."

"Wow. You are either extremely scared of Draco or you trust him to such an extent that you're scared of what he says."

"So your reasoning is I'm scared or I'm scared?" Blaise raised an eyebrow at him.

"Where's Parkinson by the way?" Ron asked.

"Off stalking her crush." Blaise waved off. "Why are you not with Granger right now?"

"I'm stalking my dominant." Ron shrugged.

Blaise bit his lip and shook his head. "Don't say that so loud you idiot. Seriously, someone might hear."

Ron rolled his eyes. "Seriously? Why are you keeping it such a secret? Harry's my best friend and Draco is yours."

"Because telling Draco means that I have to explain why I'm not a Pure Blood. It means admitting to Draco and my father that my mother cheated and I'm the product." Blaise sighed.

"But you told me." Ron frowned.

"Because it was the only way I could get you to sit down and talk to me." Blaise rolled his eyes. "You're as stubborn as your best friend. The only reason I made bets with your brother's was to get on good terms with them to get close to you."

"I'm confused now. You made a bet with them before you got your inheritance. Didn't you?"

"It's different for a dominant than it is for a submissive. Harry is also a Neko while I'm a Vampire. I thought you did research?"

"I did, but the information on vampires is not very clear. Like the fact that you as a dominant can't have more than one partner?" Ron questioned and frowned.

Blaise shrugged. "I can since I'm a dominant and if I were a werewolves I would. It's a choice for a vampire. I have one partner who I'm tired to till death do us part. I can choose to turn said partner into a vampire so that we both become semi-immortal. Or I can not turn them in which case they will die and a few decades later a new partner will emerge. I can also choose to be with more than one person even though my partner may be alive. Again, I thought you did research."

Ron smiled and shrugged. "Maybe I just wanted to hear you saying it. So which did you choose then?"

"I'm a one person kind of guy." Blaise shrugged. "Whether you want to be semi-immortal or not is your choice."

"Okay then what exactly are we right now?" Ron raised an eyebrow.

"Friends?" Blaise questioned. "I know you're my partner and all because of the scent you give off. Again it's your choice if you want to be with me in that sense. Even though you're my submissive, you're still just a wizard and you have no creature inheritance. So you're not obligated to form a connection with me. With Harry and Draco it's different. Draco wanted a bond with Harry before the accident with the potion. Since Harry is a submissive creature he's forced into a bond with Draco, but Draco could have still refused him since he has no creature."

"You're starting to confuse me. Harry has a creature inheritance now where he wouldn't have had one before. Draco is like me, we have zero obligation to the person with the creature inheritance. That's about it right?" Ron shook his head and sighed. "So what if I don't want a relationship with you?"

Blaise shrugged. "Sucks for me, I guess. I'll always be here though. As a dominant it's my obligation to look out for my submissive. I'll use my mother as an example. She married my father because of an arranged marriage. A few years down the line a guy walks up to her and tells her he's a vampire and she is his submissive. Her opinions are; Accept it and devorce my father to be with him. Or deny it and continue to live her life as is. As a vampire dominant the guy also had some options. Accept whatever decision she made as is, or assert his dominance over her to force her into compliance."

Ron frowned. "But she cheated. So she chose a third option."

"Actually that's where being dominant comes into play. A submissive can never disobey a command. Creature inheritance or not. In Harry's case Draco is his dominant and even though Draco has no creature, what Draco commands Harry must do. The same with us and my mother. The guy commanded her to form a bond. A bond cannot be formed properly without sex involved. So my mother cheated and I was born."

"So you can just command me to do anything? I don't like the way that sounds." Ron frowned more.

Blaise shrugged again. "I could but I promised myself that I wouldn't do that to anyone. My mother told me about everything when I started coming to Hogwarts. She was afraid I'd get my inheritance while here and they'd tell my father."

Ron nodded his head. "Show me."

"What?"

"Command me to do something." Ron shrugged.

Blaise raised an eyebrow at him.

"Come on. I want to see if I can resist."

"Go get two Butterbeers and settle my bill." Blaise ordered.

Ron froze for a moment then got up and did what Blaise said. He returned a moment later with two Butterbeers in hand and sat down. Ron had a meek, almost scared look on his face. He didn't make eye contact with Blaise at all. Blaise took one of the Butterbeers and took a sip.

"That'll be all." Blaise said.

"Geez." Ron shook himself and frowned.

"I told you."

"You didn't tell me how creepy it felt. Besides I'm not exactly the submissive type so how?" Ron asked.

Blaise shrugged. "I don't exactly like the submissive type. I want a level playing field. It would be too easy to walk all over Harry if he were my submissive. Sure he has an explosive attitude, but I would take advantage of his other side."

Ron rolled his eyes. "I'd never let you do that."

"Exactly." Blaise smirked. "I saw you fighting my command. It takes some getting used to but even then I'm sure you'd be able to break through it. That's what I like, what I want."

Ron nodded his head in understanding. They remained silent as they finished the Butterbeers. Blaise placed some money on the table and pushed it towards Ron. Ron frowned, not sure what Blaise was doing.

"For the Butterbeers and my bill. Plus a little extra for the command." Blaise explained.

Ron rolled his eyes, finished the last bit of his Butterbeer and walked away. Blaise grabbed the money and shoved it into his pocket. He basically ran after Ron, catching him just outside.

"Seriously?" Blaise asked.

"I'm not someone you can buy." Ron frowned. "I told you to prove it and you did. Nothing more nothing less."

"So you're going to lose out on that money for your pride?"

"Yeah pretty much. Anyway it gets my brothers off my back for never spending money. Harry usually buys everything."

Blaise smiled and shook his head. He would respect Ron's wishes of course, but that didn't mean he couldn't be amused. Ron was a mystery to him and compared to his last relationship, so much more entertaining. They weren't even dating yet and Blaise was pretty sure he wanted that.

Ron made his way back to Hogwarts and Blaise followed him. Even though they hardly spoke on the trip back Ron was amused by Blaise's decision to follow him. Ron honestly didn't know what he wanted when it came to relationships so he was grateful that Blaise wasn't rushing.

"So... Do you want to check in on Harry?" Blaise asked.

"I don't think that would be such a great idea." Ron paused for a moment. "Sure why the hell not."

To say Ron's initial response was on point would be an understatement. The two of them walked into what seemed to be an empty room. Then Blaise had the bright idea to open Draco's curtain. The surprised yelp that filled the room was quickly followed by a loud pop.

Ron was standing in the doorway trying not to laugh or make any other sound. Blaise ended up on the floor and Draco was glaring at him. Thankfully Harry and Draco were kind of clothed, much to Ron's relief. Kind of meaning neither had on a shirt but both of them had on pants.
