We arrived home and I got out the carriage. Natsu said he'd run back behind me because he didn't want to get motion sickness, but I knew that it was because of what he heard me say before.

The promise I made to Sting.

I still love Natsu though. Even though I know the odds are against me one million to one, I still love him.

• (Natsu's POV) •

I had heard everything that was said. I can't believe the snobby bastard accused me of harassment! And then...

"Lucy, you can't fall in love with a scumbag like him, he's a dragon and you're a young lady. Dragons have no respect for women, so no matter what he says he will do something terrible to you."

"Promise me you won't do it again."

"I-I promise."

I can't believe she said that.

She said she loved me.

Well, I guess I knew our love wasn't to be. After all,
'I'm a dragon and she's a young lady.'

• (Lucy's POV) •

"Ahh Lucy, please sit down." My mother said. "I need to speak with you."
"Um, ok-" I got a stern look of mother.
"I-I mean, yes mother."

"Okay, first off, your manners are lacking, so I've decided for you to have some speech lessons with Aries. Also, I've asked Loke if he will practice dancing with you and he accepted." My mother explained. Aries and Loke were two of my mothers many servants, just like Virgo.

"Oh, I almost forgot," she added. "The Eucliffe's are coming round this Friday, the day before your birthday."
"Thank you for the notice mother." I sighed, and the strap on my dress fell slightly.
"I just thought I'd let you kno-" she gasped.

"Who gave you that!?" She then smirked. "Oh, pray tell, was it Sting?"
"Actually, I-" I was interrupted by Natsu.

"Sorry for interrupting, but would you like a glass of water Luce? You sound parched." He said, staring into my eyes. He gave me one of them 'Don't tell her the truth, she'll murder me' looks. Or, that's what I thought it was.
"Y-yes please Natsu." I coughed, for effect. So Natsu walked off to get water.

"As you were saying.." My mother smiled.
"Yes, it was Sting.." I lied.
"Ooh, how romantic," she cooed.

"But, you have to tell him not to, we can't have marks on a beautiful virgin's body like yours. You should pray for God's forgiveness just in case." She then said sternly. "And do cover it up."
"Yes mother." I said.
"You are dismissed." She sighed, so I left the room and ran up the stairs to my bedroom.
