• (Lucy's POV) •

I stared around at my surroundings, seeing myself trapped in an arena filled with dragons and demons. How the hell am I supposed to do this!? Kill Sting!? He's all the way up there! How do I get back up..?

Wait... I know.

"Sting!" I cried out, falling to my knees. "I'm so sorry! I should've believed you!"
"Luce?" I heard Natsu's voice, and noticed in the corner of my eye that he turned to face me, looking worried and confused at the same time. "Are you oka-"

"GET AWAY FROM ME!" I screamed, backing away from him with fear in my eyes. Tears began slowly falling down my cheeks in fear. I'm so scared. Everyone was staring at me. I felt their confused glares impale me like daggers.

"Sting!" I cried out once again, begging for his attention.
"You don't like being on the enemy's side?" His obnoxious smirk was now on show, and I pushed back the urge to throw up my last meal.
"It's awful!" I yelled back up to him. "You were right Sting! They're scary and they're going to kill me!"

"Lucy..." The dragon Sting walked closer to me.
"NO! Stay back!" I screamed, backing away from him.
"What's wrong with you?" Natsu asked, stood still in his place but staring at me with a look of disbelief.

"What's wrong with me?" I scoffed, still showing my fear. "The real question is what's wrong with you!"
"H-huh?" He stuttered.

"You... You hypnotised me into believing you were the good guys!" I cried. "You made me betray Sting, the only person I can believe! The only person I can trust!"

"Guards!" The real Sting yelled. "Get Lucy out of there! It's time to let the show begin!" Suddenly a bunch of guards came and rescued me, taking me away from the dragons and back up to where Sting was. As I was being taken away I could see the pain in Natsu's face. He was filled with confusion, sadness and betrayal, which made me feel awful.

Believe in me Natsu!

I walked up behind Sting, when he turned around and smiled at me.
"I'm so glad you're back to your senses Lucy." Sting smiled obnoxiously.
"And I'm sorry for not believing you." I sighed, smiling slightly. "I guess I deserved to be pushed off that edge."
"Don't be stupid." He smirked. "I only did that to bring you back to your senses. You're okay now." And he brought me in for a hug.

That's when I did it.

I stabbed him in the heart.

"L-L-Lu-c-cy?" Sting stuttered, trying to breathe. His eyes were wide, his body motionless, beside the sharp movements of his chest as he was trying to breathe.
"I hope you liked my acting," I whispered, now wearing the obnoxious smile. "I've been practicing."

I stared into the dying Sting's lifeless eyes until they closed, then turned to look inside the arena, turning my back on the - now actually dead - Sting.

"SHE DID IT!" Igneel cried out. "The damned kid fooled us all!"
"That's my Luce!" Natsu smiled. The arena slowly but surely went up in cheer, as people applauded and yelled and congratulated everyone.

"I must say, your acting was amazing, you really had me fooled." I froze at the unexpected voice. "But you're not the only one who's been practicing." Slowly, in disbelief, I began to turn around. The cheer in the arena slowly began to die down, and when I turned to face what was behind me my blood filled with dread.

"Did you have fun there Lucy?" Sting smirked at me, standing up from the kneeling position he was in.
"What!?" I yelled out. "Why aren't you dead!?"
"Oh please," he laughed. "Did you honestly think I was in love with a whore like you!?"

"The fuck!" I cursed, then Sting pulled the dagger out of his chest. If it's not me, then who else co- That's it! I know! I inhaled, and screamed as loud as I could.

"YUKINO!"
