• (Lucy's POV) •

"Princess, wake up!" Virgo yelled knocking on my door.
"Ughhhh...." I moaned. Something felt weird today. I looked round the room.

"Natsu?" I called out.
"I'm here Luce." He replied. I swiftly looked right and saw Natsu fully dressed and ready to leave.
"Where did you sleep last night?" I asked him.
"In your bed, like always." He replied. "Why?"
"Well when I wake up you're normally here." I said pointing to the empty space next to me. He folded his arms.
"I just woke up early this morning." He huffed.

So he's still upset about yesterday.

"Okay, I'll get dressed." I said. Natsu stood up and walked over to me.
"Natsu, could you stand outsi-" suddenly, he grabbed my wrists and pushed me down on the bed.
"N-Natsu!" I yelled. He paused, staring into my eyes.

After a while, he spoke.
"You're scared of me, aren't you Luce."
"W-what makes you think that?" I asked.
"Because of what Sting said yesterday." He replied.

'Dragons have no respect for women, so no matter what he says, he will do something terrible to you.'

"Well, I-" I was interrupted.
"He says that I have no respect for you, but I've slept in your bed countless times and never touched you."
"Yes, but-"
"The amount of times we've been in a situation where I could of harassed you, but I never did."
"I know, bu-"
"I don't understand why you'd listen to him when-" I interrupted Natsu.

"I listen to him because he's right!" I yelled. Natsu just stared at me in shock. I sat up and shook Natsu off me.
"Dragons don't have respect for women." I felt a tear run down my cheek.

"When my mother payed for the contract, she offered 900,000 jewels and a kiss. That 'kiss' was actually your father biting my mothers neck; she had a bruise for a month. She also had bruises around her waist where he grabbed her." I explained.
"I had forgotten about it, but what Sting said yesterday reminded me of what happened." I couldn't help but burst into tears at the thought, and Natsu gingerly pulled me in for a hug.

"I'm sorry about my dad." Natsu whispered. "He was always like that, especially with my mother. That was the thing I hated about him, and I swore I would never do that to a woman."
"Never?" I asked shyly.
"Never." He replied, without hesitation.

We stayed in the embrace for a few minutes, until:
"Princess! We have to leave in 5 minutes!" Virgo yelled. "Please get ready!"

I walked into class, Natsu behind me, and I got a stern look off the teacher.
"Lucy Heartfilia, why are you late?" She asked.
"Sorry miss, our carriage's wheel broke so we had to hire another." I lied.
"Sit down." She said. I did so, and Natsu stood by the door.

Five minutes later a note landed on my desk.

That was a nice lie; the teacher fell for it. But now you can tell me what really happened to make you late.

I scribbled down a quick reply.

I wasn't lying, our carriage's wheel broke.

I passed the note back, waited a few minutes and another note landed on my desk.

You were with Natsu again, weren't you. What did I tell you yesterday?

I didn't reply. Instead, I ripped up the note and stood up, putting it in the bin like the rubbish it was.
