Part 35

"I see the overgrown lizard!" I shout to the others after a while. The Fire Viper is attacking a village and several Mabu are paying the unfortunate price. "Is there a plan or can I just have some fun?"

"At the moment? I think the plan is just don't get hit," Stealth Elf replied. They all landed, so I did, too. Luckily I anticipated Stealth Elf's teleportation out of her vehicle. The others all jumped out of theirs as well.

"Ok, first off, Vexelle," Jet Vac says, turning to me. "What do you know about Fire Vipers? Have you ever dealt with one before?"

"I did once," I nod. "Turns our they're easily driven by their most dominant emotion. A little induced nerves was all it took for that thing to be terrified of me. Nerves. Not even fear."

"Huh... can you do that now?" Pop Fizz asks. "Sure can," I nod. "Anything else?" "Well can you beat it up afterwards? Make it weak?" Stealth Elf questions. "So what your saying is induce fear, then drain the aura, right?" I clarify.

"Sounds good to me," Eruptor nods. All the others do the same. "Sweet, let's do this," I grin, then turn to the Fire Viper and induce a little fear of me and the Skylanders.

"Hahahahaha! I'm going to destroy this-"

The Fire Viper stops with a gasp when it sees us. Then all he'll breaks loose in my eardrums.

"Aaaaaaaaaaah!"

"Relax, relax, it'll be over soon!" I huff, much more to myself than it as I drain its aura. As a rule, I don't go past the excess with friends, allies or anyone else in that zone, including strangers who haven't really done anything wrong at this point. But as for a villain... well, I won't kill them, but I'll certainly be less worried about keeping them safe.

"Ugh..." the Fire Viper groans weakly, lying down. "W-what are you... doing to... me...?"

I stalk over to the weak Fire Viper, smirking at it. "I'm the one who did this. And want to know something? I'm just their 'weak' instructor. Imagine what the actual Skylanders could do to you without batting an eyelid."

I've stopped draining their aura now, but they looked as if they were being drained further still. "No... no more... you win..."

"That's what I like to hear," I smirk. "No shame in surrender." I then head back to the others. "It surrendered already. Told you Fire Vipers were easy to handle."

They seem shocked. "For you, maybe," Pop Fizz remarked after a few moments of silence. "I guess my specific powers just make it easier," I shrug. "It's nothing to do with skill. You guys are right up there on that."

This leaves them both understanding and smug. I'm lucky Spyro wasn't here, as far as I'm concerned for the latter.

"She actually defeated the Fire Viper on her own? Without any real effort at all?"

"Yes, Master Eon," Jet Vac nodded, still surprised about it himself. "The Fire Viper simply... laid down... and that was it, really. There wasn't even a fight."

"Remember once she said that she hasn't even reached her full power?" Stealth Elf, who never forgot a detail easily, reminded them. "She needs to go to that citadel and complete those rituals first. Then she can reach her true power."

"She doesn't even have her full power?!" Master Eon was shocked. "Yet she can still do so much! Skylanders, just imagine the power she might have if she achieved her full power! Why, she might even be as powerful as Kaos himself! And I don't use those words lightly!"

The Skylanders were all just as shocked as Master Eon now. Vexelle?! As powerful as Kaos?! It didn't seem quite possible to the Skylanders. They no longer saw her as weak, quite the opposite, but they didn't expect her to be that strong.

"We must bring her into the field more often so we can see how she does," Master Eon decided. "If she does run into Kaos through you all, we shall see just how strong she is. Tell her it's so she can better understand the things she needs to prepare you all for. Everything spoken about in this room shall remain between us and us only. Do you all understand?"

"Yes, Master Eon," the Skylanders all confirmed, then walked out.

I sat outside the Academy, waiting patiently for the Skylanders to finish their briefing. I was in their for a little while, but then they asked me to leave so they could discuss my performance in 'battle' today. More like lack of battle. Today was... well, it was boring, to put it simply. I didn't have the chance to actually fight.

The Skylanders eventually come out and smile at me far too innocently for my liking. What's going on? I check their auras. They all seem shocked and excited.

"What's up?" I ask curiously. "We got you an excuse to come on more missions with us," Stealth Elf smirked. "Master Eon wants to make sure you understand what we've gotta do. Consider yourself a temporary Skylander."

"Uh... I'd rather not consider myself that, but sure," I nod. "Sounds fun. Hopefully I'll actually get a fight this time."

"Agreed," Stealth Elf nods. "I really wanna see you in an actual battle."

"You won't have to wait much longer!" Hugo announces worriedly, hurrying over. "There's a bunch of Greebles on a rampage! You've gotta stop them!"

"Ok, Skylanders! Let's go!" Jet Vac takes charge, ushering everyone along. We all start heading over to their vehicles so they can get going. I'm flying solo again, luckily.

The flight takes a short while, then it's just a matter of taking on what seems to be millions of Greebles. Well, probably not that many, but still far too many to count. It just seems like an endless wave of them.

"Vexelle, any plans?" Stealth Elf asks me. "You want me to come up with the plan?" I ask, surprised. "You took out a Fire Viper all on your own without lifting a wing, I think you can handle a few Greebles," she shrugged.

I smirk. "Ok, then I guess I have a plan..."
