Part 1
I stalk down my prey carefully. Well, not actually prey, but it feels like it. My prey-that-is-not-prey appears to be humanoid. Male. And surrounded by many others. I need to be smart if I'm going to pull this off.
I keep low as I close the distance between us. The door into the room they're in is ajar, just enough that I can slip inside without anyone noticing the door opening and come over to investigate. Once inside, I see them. All of them.
My prey-that-is-not-prey is talking with an elf, a lava creature, a blue fuzz ball thing, some kind of bird and a dragon. I try to move so I'm hidden, but the dragon spots me and turns. "Woah! What's another dragon doing in here?!"
All eyes turn to me. I don't say a word, just try getting closer to my prey-that-is-not-prey. The dragon comes closer to me, amazed for some reason. I just growl at him, causing him to back up.
The elf teleports in front of me, her arms out. "That's close enough to Master Eon," she says sternly. "Master?" I grunt. "Pitiful. I am not here for you, elf. I have come about your precious master."
I move around her, but she pops into my way again. "No way."
I growl at her and use my powers to send a cyan shockwave around the room, hitting each of them. Instantly they grow scared thanks to the altering of their emotions. So scared that they leap backwards. The bird even starts to lay eggs uncontrollably. Not even that elf bothers to try me again.
I walk around my prey-that-is-not-prey, taking them in, absorbing their aura. He wasn't effected by my power a moment ago, so he's not scared. Instead he's surprised, mostly.
I look up at him. "Your aura... it is pure. It is light. It is strong." "Eon! Get away from it!" The other dragon yelled, cowering with the others on the other side of the room. I narrow my eyes.
"Why are you here, young dragon?" He asks in a stern tone. "It is pure," I repeat, moving closer. "It is light. It is strong."
I reach out with my powers and feed on his aura, my own one tingling as it gains strength. "Ahhhh..." I muse. "Very refreshing..."
Once I'm done I move back to the door, looking back at all of them. The one I just borrowed strength from is confused and surprised, the others still quaking. I emit a rich brown shockwave that reverses my previous tampering, then leave.
I barely get anywhere before that elf teleports in front of me again, making me yelp in surprise. I hate teleporters; they're the one group of people I can't sense coming. Of course, there are nice teleporters. I just don't like the power in general.
"Okay, what did you just do to us?" She demands, her little group forming around me. I growl at them. "My work here is done. Leave me in peace or I will do it again... and this time I won't reverse your fear."
I start flying to get over them, but the elf teleports onto my back, dropping me to the ground. "Okay, that just hurt," I snap. "I never hurt any of you, not even your precious little master, so why should I be hurt in return? I've heard that the people here are supposed to be heroes, but I see I was mistaken since heroes don't hurt others for no reason."
They hesitate when they hear that, looking at one another uncertainly. "You... you still broke into the Academy!" the fuzzball argues. "The door was open, I hardly see that as breaking in," I point out with a bored tone. "Now can I go or do I have to waste even more time here?"
"Let her go, Skylanders," my former prey-that-is-not-prey says as he comes over. "She's right - she never did anything, we can leave her be."
The second that that elf steps off of me, I rise and shake myself out, stretching my wings. I notice that the other dragon is looking at me. "You are very curious about me," I say to him. "Why?"
"Because I've never seen a dragon like you before!" He says enthusiastically, flying around me as he examines me. I let him do what he wants, but I keep a close watch with my powers. "And I haven't seen a dragon like you before," I reply. "What kind are you, anyway? You seem like a Light Keeper Dragon, if I had to guess."
"A Light Keeper Dragon?" He repeats in confusion. "They used to defend the Core of Light," I shrug. "You know about my ancestors?!" Everyone is instantly interested.
"That's all I really know," I shrug. "Now I'm gonna go before I miss my training. I take it very seriously. Goodbye." Without leaving them any time to respond, I take off and fly away towards the forest.
Once I'm there, I settle down on a tree branch right outside my cave. I wasn't lying when I said I took my training very seriously. I have several sets of training which I do at various times every day.
My day starts at sunrise when I begin my range and accuracy training. I basically shoot at at a load of makeshift targets I've set up, including chucking rocks into the air and blasting at it if I feel like the extra challenge.
At sunset I begin my physical training, when I brawl against a worthy opponent; a tree or rock. My sparring partner has to be replaced every few weeks or so, but there's plenty of candidates.
Physical training ends at dusk, when I go on my flight training until midnight or so. Anyone with the capability can fly during the day, but it takes a lot of skill to fly in the darkness. I always fly in different directions so I swoop through uncharted territory. There's no point in getting familiar with a landscape I won't do much real battle in.
But right now, at noon, is my special training, the strangest training of all. People have assumed I'm dead or something when they've stumbled upon me in the past, though this ranges from amusing to annoying depending on how they act on this assumption.
I close my eyes and focus my power.
