We saw my father at the altar he was conjuring something that has to do with his own ego. He sensed us he turned to see Alex.

"I dug you up, I'm gonna put you right back down," Alex said in Chinese.

Father changed into a monster and attacked. He swiped Alex away, knocking him out. Rick jumped on top of him with the dagger but he was knocked away too, he ran to Alex.

"Alex?" He whispered.

It was my time to shine. I unsheathed my sword and pointed it at my own father in tears. He turned back into a human, looked at me. I didn't know if he was mad...or proud.

"Baba, we need to talk," I said in Chinese.

"You dare point your sword at me?"

"Yes I do! All my life, you made me feel stupid...weak...hopeless! And you think pretending to be sweet ole daddy towards me will make up for it! All you care about is yourself!"

"Daiyu...honey...you know I can be hard on you...it's out of love...I, as your father...knows best."

He was pretending to be sweet again.

"I stopped being your princess a long time ago, when you executed General Ming and now you killed Zi Yuan."

"Zi Yuan is not immortal anymore, when she raised her pathetic lover up to fight, she and their bastard child's immortality disappeared."

"What a cost for reinforcements huh Baba?"

"What are you saying!?" Rick asked.

"I'm proving to my father I'm not weak like he always thought!" I said in English.

Suddenly, Father punched me in the stomach so hard, I felt a rib or two break.

"Hey, that was your kid!"

I coughed aggressively, my mouth tasted like copper.

"Oh no...no no...I'm mortal! Zi Yuan must've included me!"

Father looked at me and chuckled.

"Pathetic," he said in English.

The one word we heard him say in English made Rick snap.

"Fight me! Where's your honor, fight like a man?!"

They started fighting. Alex, Lin, and Evie ran to me.

"Aunt D, you're hurt."

"More than that...I'm mortal!"

"Her ribs are broke. Mom, Lin stay with her."

Alex went over to help his dad. I saw the dagger that Rick dropped. I crawled over to grab it.

"D?"

"Sorry Evie, I got some business to attend to."

I got up my hand clutching my stomach, the other hand clutching the dagger behind my back. Then, Father punched Rick down again. I walked to Father panting, and a cough of blood.

"Baba, let's just talk ok," I said in Chinese.

"Daiyu, you're hurt, you're really hurt. I did that?"

I nodded.

"Hug me and I'll be ok."

He hugged me for a few seconds before I stabbed him with the dagger. The dagger sure did the trick.

"Sorry Dad, still love you though!" I said in English.

A substance similar to magma was coming out of him. I walked quickly to Rick, Evie, Lin and Alex.

"Now you can rule...in Hell," Rick said.

His body then exploded into embered rocks.

We walked outside to see General Ming and his men gathered.

"The Emperor is dead!" General Ming shouted.

He looked at me.

"Hail Empress Daiyu!"

I gasped as they cheered. He took one last look at me and Lin before disappearing into the sand. After a moment of silence, I heard what sounds like a baby's cry.

"Do you hear that?" I asked.

"What the hell, is that a baby crying?" Alex asked.

We ran back in to see a newborn Chinese baby swaddled in black cloth in the rubble where Father was defeated.

"What in the world," I said.

"Is that...the emperor?" Evie asked.

"Obviously," Alex said.

I picked up the baby, I peeked inside the cloth, it was a boy.

"Shh, it's okay, I got you."

The baby stopped crying and looked at me, he had the same features as Father.

"It is my father...reborn."

"Did he transform into a baby?" Evie asked.

"After he was defeated, somehow, a baby appears in his place. There was no baby before, just debri. So, he didn't shape-shift into a baby."

We all went back out into the sunshine.

"We're not keeping him," Rick said.

"Rick!" Evie blurted.

"What? She knows nothing about babies!"

"Rick O'Connell, you take that back, I helped out with baby Alex, that's why I'm his Auntie DD."

"Part time, if you take in that baby, you'll have to do it full time."

"I'm not gonna leave the baby here!"

"Of course not, we'll take him to the nearest orphanage in Shanghai."

Jonathan ran over to us.

"What...did...I...miss?"

"The Emperor has been defeated, Zi Yuan's dead, DD and Lin are no longer immortal, and we found a newborn baby," Rick said.

"Goody!! Wait...a baby?"

Jonathan looked at the baby.

"Where in God's green earth did you find a baby here?"

"It's the emperor actually, apparently he's been born again. And no D, we're not keeping him!"

"You guys are not...but I am," I said.

They all looked at me.

"I have a theory behind this."

"Yeah?"

"Him being reborn will give him another chance in life, no royalty, no power, no fighting/killing, just a normal life. I'll raise him to be a good man."

"You're a kid yourself."

"I've been a kid long enough, I'm mortal now so I'm gonna be prepared for motherhood...and aging."

"Damn right!" Evie said.

Rick took a look at the baby.

"Well...welcome to the family little guy."

I smiled.

"Welcome to the world...Han."

"Han?"

"Yeah, that was Baba's real name. I'm using it for my new son right here."

We left for Shanghai.
