3rd Person POV:

A few weeks after Tsunade became Hokage, things have lightened up in the village hidden in the leaves.

Team 7, after a day of training, found themselves enjoying some noodles.

Majima:...

Sakura: Kakashi sensei, do you think I could learn something like the Chidori or Rasengan?

Kakashi: It's a possibility, however, I suggest learning a different technique to vary the skills the team has.

Sakura: Like what? Do you have anything like that you could teach me?

Kakashi: Uhhh... Not really...

Kiryu: Maybe the old lady knows some kind of cool technique. She is a Sannin like Pervert sensei.

Kiryu: So she might know something like the Rasengan.

Sakura: I don't really want to bother the Hokage. She's a very busy person.

Sakura: Is there anyone else?

Kakashi: Sadly the only other Sannin is Orochimaru.

Majima:...

Sakura: Right... Well, maybe I see if Tsunade is free she'd be willing to teach me something.

Kakashi: To be honest, you three are soon reaching a level where you could invent a completely new Jutsu.

Majima: How far am I from defeating Itachi.

Kakashi:... You'll get there.

Majima: Could you be less vague!?

Kakashi: If you let your anger get the better of you, you'll never surpass him.

Majima:...

(Flashback)

Kisame: Now, now... Anger isn't the thing that's going to make you stronger.

Kisame: But since your my partner brother, how about I let you in on a little secret on what can make you stronger...

Majima:(clenched fist) So it's true...?

Kakashi: What is?

Majima:...

Majima: Kiryu.

Kiryu:(slurps noodles) Hm?

Majima: You live by your own rules, despite what's been set already, right?

Kiryu:...(gulp)...

Kiryu:... I follow my Ninja way.

Majima: Even if it meant going against the village.

Kiryu: Yes.

Sakura: Kiryu?!

Kiryu: If this village was filled with the despicable, I'd abandon it. For it would hold no worth to me.

Majima: Would you leave the village despite what others say?

Kiryu: Hmm... I don't know. It depends.

Kiryu: All I know is that I'd follow my heart and my ninja way.

Kiryu: And if those went against some rule or person, then so be it.

Kiryu: The rules aren't what is important to the world after all...

Sakura: Majima... Are planning on leaving?

Majima:... What are you talking about? I'm just curious about some philosophical bullshit. That's all.

He gets up and leaves.

Majima: See ya around.

(Opening theme)

Majima wandered around the village after every lesson with Kakashi, contemplating an idea he had.

Today, however, this new habit was broken.

Ino: Oh Majima-kun~! It's been so long since we hung out! Why don't you come with us?

Majima: Huh?

He sees Ino, Sakura, and most of the other teams who had gathered to hang out with one another.

Majima: Uhh... Sure. But is this it? Where's Kiryu-chan?

Ino: Oh I'm sure we'll find him on the way.

The gang venture off toward a restaurant only to find Hinata blushing while looking at something.

Kiba: Hey, Hinata! Wanna grab a bite to eat!?

Hinata:!?!!

Despite having her Byakugan activated, Hinata was so dead-set-focused on whatever she was looking at that she failed to notice the group.

Hinata:(Blushing) Uhh-Ummm, y-yeah! I'd love to! H-hey is that Kiryu? I'll go invite him...

The rest of her words became a quiet mumbling mess as she dashed off towards Kiryu.

Hinata:(looks down) Hey-

Hinata:!?!

Hinata:(immediately looks up, and only up) Kiryu do you want to go eat... With the others and me!

Kiryu:... Okay.

Joining the group, all the same year students go out to eat, where the youths of today grow their bonds.

Ino: Majima, you should really try this pork.

She holds out a piece of meat from the utensils she had been using.

Sakura:!?

Choji: I'll take some!

Ino: Shut it! No one asked you!

Majima:... Sure. (Munch)

Sakura:(mind) An indirect kiss! Damn it!

Ino:(Smug grin)

Sakura: M-Majima you want to try some of mine?

Majima: Didn't we get the same thing?

Sakura: I don't think so!

Majima:...(shrugs)... Aaaahhh...

Sakura:(blushes)

She feeds Majima.

Ino:(Glares)

Majima:(Clears throat)... Sakura, next time don't shove it down my throat.

Ino: Yeah Sakura!

Sakura:(Smug girn) Don't worry, NEXT TIME I'll be gentler.

Ino:?

Ino:..... Tch! Damn it...

Majima:(Chuckles)... You two are adorable.

Sakura/Ino:(Madly blushes)

Kiba: Hey Hinata?

Hinata: Hm?

Kiba: You ain't into Majima, like everyone else, right?

Hinata: Ah... N-no... He's how to say..? Not my type?

Choji: Who is your type then?

Ino: Idiot! You don't ask a lady that!

Choji: I was just curious!

Shikamaru: You could at least say your type before asking something like that.

Choji: Hah! That's easy. Someone who can make really good food.

Ino: Of course it is.

Choji: So Hinata?

Hinata: I... Uhm...

Sakura: Sadly... Moving, on, what's your type Majima?

Sakura/Ino:(mind) This is it. Who does he prefer...

Majima: There's something about a badass lady that could kick my ass that drives me wild.

Sakura/Ino: Eh?

Kiba: Yeah, gotta agree.

Shikamaru: Pretty sure that's a common thing with our age group.

Ino: W-well... I'm quite sure I can take you Majima.

Majima: Adorable... Because I think I can take on everyone in this room. At the same time.

Majima: Huh?

Kiba: Yeah- wait what?!

Kiryu: I won't fight you.

Majima: Why not?

Kiryu: If Kakashi tells us to spar, fine or it's part of an exam... Otherwise, I have no interest in fighting you.

Sakura:(sigh of relief)...

With curfew coming up, the young shinobi began heading their separate ways.

Majima takes off towards the rooftops for a more peaceful trip to his apartment which he was shoved into after the eradication of his people.

Rubbing the spot of his curse mark left by Orochimaru, Majima sighed.

Majima: What am I going to do...?

He spins around and throws shurikens at the man behind him who catches them between his fingers.

Majima: I could call for help... Then again, I have a lot of steam I want to get out.

Majima: Kabuto was it?

Kabuto:(chuckles)... You remembered. I'm touched.

Majima: Would you like your skull or teeth caved in?

Kabuto: I would like a moment of your time.

Majima: Why would I give you the light of day?

Kabuto: You have the power to kill Itachi already.

Kabuto stares at Majima who held a blade an inch away from his neck.

Majima:...

Kabuto: If you knew how that cursed power worked you could have defeated Itachi already.

Kabuto: You see, Orochimaru, after many years of studying sage chakra and Jinchurikin created that power.

Kabuto: It's quite brilliant actually... It should easily allow you to hold your own against that Kiryu.

Majima:...

Kabuto: Master Orochimaru wishes to train you. One of the legendary Sannin.

Majima: Who in their right mind would accept that?!

Majima: They would have to be bat-

(Flashback)

Kisame: Only the bat-shit crazy people are the strongest mother fuckers around! Not some angry loser!

(End of Flashback)

Majima:...

Kabuto:(Pulls out scroll)

Kabuto: This will show you the way. But you better make a decision quickly, because we'll only be there for 24 hours.

Kabuto: And the path there is filled with many trials.

Majima:(takes scroll)

Kabuto: I look forward to seeing your decision.

Kabuto leaves, as Majima's eye twitches, his internal conflict growing to a boiling point.

He goes to the streets and attempts to calm himself, but to no avail.

No matter what he did, Majima ended up walking up to the exit of the village.

Majima:(Stares at scroll)

Sakura: Majima?

Majima:!!

He turns around to find Sakura.

Majima: Sakura? What are you doing here?

Sakura: I could ask you the same thing.

Majima:...

Sakura: I noticed on your way to the exit, so I-I followed and watched how you kept looping back here.

Majima:...

Sakura: Majima... I'm worried about you. Ever since we came back from that mission, you've been... Off.

Majima:...

Sakura: Majima, if you want to talk about it, I'm here. I'll listen to whatever you say.

Sakura: I-If you don't want to with me... Maybe Kiryu... Or Kakashi? I know they'd listen.

Majima:.... Ever since my people were slaughtered...

Majima: I've been filled with rage. A burning in my soul, demanding vengeance!

Sakura:!!?

Majima: But I've kept it in... I tried not to let it consume me...

Majima: Tried to stay calm and logical... Keep my cool.

Majima: BUT ITS FUCKING HARD!!

Sakura:!?!

Majima: And what's even harder, is the fact there are a bunch of insane dudes who are insanely strong!

Majima:(pants)

Sakura: Majima, calm down... Your eyes are like a mad dog's.

Majima:... I've been told the answer... It's been repeated to me.

Sakura:?

Majima: So ya know what...? I'll accept it and see where it takes me.

Sakura: What are you saying...?

Majima: I'm saying to HELL WITH BEING COOL, AND LOGICAL!!

Majima: It's too much of a pain in the ass to keep pretending that I'm alright!

Majima: Instead, I'm going to be like the strong. I'll be as- no.... I'll be more BAT-SHIT CRAZY than any other motherfucker who thinks they're hot shit!!

Majima: HAHAHAHAHAH!!

Sakura: Majima... You're scaring me.

Majima: Thanks for letting me get that off of my chest. I feel much better.

He begins walking toward the exit only for Sakura to hug him from behind.

Sakura: Don't go!

Majima:... Heh.

Majima: Thanks to you and the others... I was able to keep myself in check.

Majima: But it's time to grow the fuck up.

Majima: They might not like it, but tell everyone I'm going to go learn from Orochimaru.

He pets Sakura's head.

Majima: I'll be back after I kill him and Itachi.

Sakura: Majima, you can't!

Majima: If ya wanna stop me, then you're going to have to beat the shit out of me and drag me back.

Sakura:... If that's what it takes-

Majima elbows Sakura in the gut, before flipping her onto the ground.

Majima: Remember, if ya want my ass, you're going to have to kick it.

He begins walking away.

Majima: Tell Kiryu-chan, I'll be waiting~

Sakura: M-Majima...
