The newly crowned Toad Sage, Kiryu stood in Sage mode or as he preferred, Toad style, surrounded by 5 of the Six Paths of Pain. With Nature energy in his body, Kiryu had much sharper senses, his awareness of his surroundings were fantastical.

The Human Path ran up, as the sacrificial pawn to see what Kiryu could do.

With them all sharing each other's sight, there was nothing Kiryu could hide, nor was there anything he desired to hide.

Kiryu:...

The Human Path threw a punch, which Kiryu deflected with a wave of his hand, moving their hand.

Thrusting their hand, Kiryu pushed the Human path back, without making contact with the body.

Human:(coughs blood)

Kiryu: Enough of defense. I'm coming to attack.

(Kiryu vs Pain)

Preparing to punch, Kiryu reels his arm back, causing the Asura path behind him to get struck with an invisible force.

Kiryu: Rah!

Throwing a punch, Kiryu once again struck one of the paths of pain with an invisible force. This time, it was the Animal path. Quickly, the Naraka and Preta path rushed him.

The Naraka path got to Kiryu first attenpting to absorb his Chakra, however Kiryu quickly caught his hand, twisting it and forcing his body to lean down. Rolling over the Naraka paths back, Kiryu simultaneously snapped their arm whilst kicking the Preta paths head with such might their head butted against the dirt.

With a good pull, Kiryu made the Naraka path spin horizontally in the air, before making him stop with an axe kick that caused the Path of Pain to bounce.

With a light tap to the legs, flipping them right side up, Kiryu slid behind them and shifted them to take an attack from the Asura path.

(WHAM)

The Asura path then tried sweeping Kiryu's legs, but the Toad sage simply spun the Naraka path like a bow staff and used their head to knock away the sweep.

Spinning the Naraka path again, Kiryu used their face to block every single blow from the Asura path.

Throwing a punch at the Naraka paths back, Kiryu shocked the Asura path by landing an invisible strike to their stomach.

Asura:!?

Asura: How?

Kiryu throws the Naraka path over his shoulder.

Kiryu: I think the better question is how long do you have left to live.

Swinging the Naraka path into the Asura path, Kiryu sends them both flying as orange chakra flared across his body, looking like fire.

This was his heat. A side effect and bonus of being the Dragon's Jinchuriki.

Kiryu:(mind) And like that... I'm now truly on a timer. Like it matters.

Kiryu: "Sage Art; Toad Acid Palm Strike"!!

Spinning around, Kiryu presses his palm into an attacking Animal path. They are sent flying, yet Kiryu noticed his Jutsu wasn't having its intended effect.

(Woosh)

Dodging several different elemental jutsu projectiles coming at him from multiple paths of Pain, Kiryu began weaving handsigns as he expertly danced across the battle field.

Kiryu: "Sage Art; Fire Breath Jutsu"!!

Breathing Sagely fire, Kiryu created a moment where none of the Six paths could see him.

Bursting from the ground to attack the Animal path made all the others notice him instantly.

Animal: Your power is impressive, but you cannot-

Kiryu: "Sage Style; Rasengan"!

Shoving a Rasengan into the Animal Paths back, Kiryu obliterated the bones and organs in the section he struck, disabling the Animal path from combat.

Leaping over to the Toad Sage, the Preta threw multiple kicks trying to hit Kiryu who blocked every hit before pushing him back.

Kiryu: "Sage Art;..."

Creating a Rasengan in each hand, Kiryu clenches his hands and adds an element to each Rasengan. Fire to the right one, lighting to the left.

Kiryu: "Twin Rasan-Saber, Firestorm style"!!

Racing past the remaining four paths of pain, Kiryu caused half's chakra to burn away on the inside, and the other half's chakra to burst out their body like lightning.

Though these bodies could no longer fight, they still were alive, hinting at Kiryu as to what the Paths of Pain truly were. Jiraya's last message echoed in his head.

Watching from afra was Sakura who was busy stabilizing Tsunade.

Sakura: That's.... The power of a Toad Sage?

Gamakichi: Yep.

Sakura: It's different from a Slug Sage.

Gamakichi: Well, duh. Each Animal has learned to utilize Nature Chakra differently.

Gamakichi: Us toads with our awesome limbs, created a martial art that allows us to strike at a distance.

Katsuyu: And as I thought you, the Slug way allows for flexibility to help one get through anything.

Gamakichi: Gyaaa!? Lady Katsuyu!

Gamakichi: I didn't notice you... You're usually so big.

Gamakichi:(bows) M-My apologize.

Katsuyu: Now isn't the time for honorifics and such.

Gamakichi: Yeah... I guess not.

Sakura: How did Kiryu enter Sage mode so quickly?

Gamakichi: Shadow clones. Uses them to gather the energy for him. Then he poofs one when he needs to go Sage mode.

Sakura:!!

Gamakichi: Yeah. Kiryu has at least two more clones to go through before he needs to refill.

Sakura: Just two?

Katsuyu: The Shadow clone Jutsu splits your Chakra in half. Anymore clone would likely caused an in balance with the mixing of Senjutsu.

Sakura: Could I do it?

Katsuyu: With your Chakra Reserves.... You might only be able to have one Shadow clone.

Sakura: Its better than nothing.

Deva: I see... This must be Sage Mode.

The Orange heat around Kiryu's body become blue as his eyes return to normal. Sage mode had faded away.

Deva: Jiraya once told me, and showed me this... Yours is however much more refined.

Deva: But that time limit is a weakness. Made even greater by that Dragon within you.

Deva: It is still nothing compared to the power of the Sage of Six Paths... The power of the Rinnegan!

Kiryu: Your choice of final words is dissapointing.

Deva: You're out of Senjutsu.

Kiryu: Who told you that?

Making the release sign, Kiryu regains Sage Mode.

Deva:?!

Kiryu nearly closed the distance between himself and Pain, but the Deva path was quick to react and lift his hand.

Deva: "Push"

Kiryu: Ugh!

Both Kiryu and Pain were knocked back by each other.

Pain blitzed through the air to get behind Kiryu who upon making contact with the ground flipped over the Deva path.

Deva: "Pull"!!

Pulling Kiryu towards him, Pain pulled out a black rod, in hopes of stabbing the Dragon of Konoha.

Kiryu: Rah!

Twisting his body Kiryu was able to bite and shatter the rod, before twisting his body again to punch Pain across the face.

Prepared for the impact, Pain slides across the ground.

Deva: Hmph. So you reactivated Sage mode. But I'm not such a fool to know there IS a limit. Once you reach it, you'll know Pain.

Deva: "Pull"!

Kiryu prepared to get dragged towards Pain but soon realize he used his Pull on the Naraka path who grabbed and drained chakra from Kiryu, turning to stone yet successfully lowering Kiryu's timer in sage mode.

Kiryu: Jackass!

He shatters the Naraka path.

Kiryu: Two can play at that game!

Kiryu: "Secret Sage Art"!!!

Kiryu: "Toad Lotus Army Consecutive Palm Strikes"!!!

Swinging his arms, Kiryu needn't get close to Pain as the power that Toad Sage Mode provided allowed him to riddled the Deva paths body with powerful strikes at their distance.

Deva:?!!

(CRASH)

Yet again, buried inside the walls of the crater by Kiryu, Pain watched as Kiryu's sage mode faded away, leaving him open for just a moment before he could regain it.

And Pain took full advantage of this moment.

Deva: "Mighty Pull".

Black rods were pulled out of the four other paths of pain, and these rods flew straight into Kiryu's flesh.

Two went through his legs, pinning them together. And two did the same with his arm.

Kiryu:!?!

The village watched with horror.

Before Kiryu could begin to pull them out, Pain pulled out more rods and proceeded to pin his body fully to the ground.

Deva: Pain... Pain leads to sorrow. Sorrow to Anger.

Deva: And in your case... Anger to the Dragon.

Pain grabs and rips off Kiryu's top, bearing his back to the world.

Deva: This world, Kiryu, is Pain. And you shall come to learn that. And once you do, I shall have the Dragon under my control.

Deva: Then the world will-

(Pant, pant)

Deva/Kiryu:?

Inturupted by the pitter patter of a young girls steps, the two turn to Haruka who runs up, fearlessly runs up to Kiryu.

Kiryu: Haruka..?

Haruka:(points)

In the direction of a mountain, Haruka points.

Haruka: He's over there.

Deva:??!!

Kiryu:?

Kiryu takes note of this reaction, but puts the thought aside for more pressing issues.

Kiryu: Haruka! It's dangerous here! Leave!

Haruka:....

Haruka: I'm not something you should show concern over...

Deva: "Mighty Push".

Haruka is pulled into the air.

Kiryu:!!!

???: "Gentle Step; Twin Lion Fist"!!!

Rushing to Haruka's aid, Hinata landed her new technique, Twin Lion Fists, onto Pain. The Lions bit and chewed at his Chakra reserves, yet Pain paid no attention to it as he swung Haruka down.

Hinata: No!

Leaping she caught Haruka in a strong embrace to take the full brunt of the impact.

(BAM)

Kiryu:!

Pain then did it again.

(BAM)

And again.

(BAM)

Taking as much of the impact as she could for Haruka.

(BAM)

Hinata:(coughs blood)

Haruka:?!

Haruka: Why? Why are you protecting me?

Hinata: Because you're innocent... As a Shinobi of Konoha it is my duty to protect someone like you...

Haruka:....

The Deva path walked up to Hinata and Haruka with a black road, prepared to end both.

Hinata rolled over, getting atop Haruka just as Pain stabbed down.

(SHUNK)

Piercing her chest, Hinata caught the rod before it could go any further down and touch Haruka.

Kiryu:!!!!

Pain however did not stop and continued to push.

Slowly putting more and more pressure. Sadistically and without mercy.

Hinata: Kiryu... I-I'm... Sorry...!

Pain lifted his arm to use as the final hammer to the nail.

Kiryu: PAAAAIIIIINNNNNN!!

In a flash, Kiryu and Pain were gone. No where to be seen in the village.

(BOOOOOOOOOM)

Far outside the village an explosion goes off.

The Deva path got up to see that Kiryu had awakened the Dragon, as the heat from his body grew to such a size that it began to take the Dragon's shape.

Kiryu: RAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!
