Kakashi:...

Staring at his students who were mostly injured, on their knees awaiting their punishment.

Both the boys were shirtless, with their injuries worn like badges, Sakura was gawking at Majima, and they all were turning their story into a mess.

Kakashi: Alright, zip it.

Kakashi: Let me get this straight... You invaded Kuze's fortress.

Sakura/Kiryu/Majima: Yes.

Kakashi: Then you beat up everyone inside. Including Kuze himself.

Sakura/Kiryu/Majima: Yes.

Kakashi:(sigh)... This is what's going to happen. You three will be training non-stop until I fully recover.

Kiryu: We're being rewarded?

Kakashi: Love your enthusiasm, but this won't be a reward, it's going to be a punishment for being so reckless.

Majima: What specifically is our training going to be?

He drops several books and scrolls.

Kiryu/Majima:!?

Sakura: Yes!

Kakashi: You're doing physical training.

Sakura: Damn it!

Tired, bruised, and beaten, Team 7 waves goodbye to the Bridge builder's family.

Ever since Kiryu defeated Kuze, he and his lackies have disappeared allowing for the construction of the bridge to continue.

Along the way back, Sakura was reminded of something, which she immediately brought up.

Sakura: Oh yeah... Kiryu, why do you have a tattoo on your back?

Kiryu: I have a tattoo on my back?

Immediately, he pulls his shirt and jacket off with one good swoop to try and get a good look.

Kiryu: Holy shit... That's Rad!

Sakura: How did you not know you had a tattoo!?

Kiryu: I can't see my back, Sakura.

Sakura: You still got the tattoo somehow!

Kakashi: He didn't get the tattoo by choice.

Sakura/Kiryu/Majima: Hm?

Kiryu: What do you know about this?

Kakashi: What do YOU know?

Kiryu:... Kuze mentioned something about tattoos, jinchuri-something, and whatnot.

Putting his clothes back on, Kiryu continues.

Kiryu: I didn't care to listen.

Kakashi:(sigh)... I'm not really allowed to say anything.

Kakashi: Just try not to show that off to people, especially in battle. It can put a target on you.

Majima: How does having a tattoo make you a target?

Kakashi: That kind of tattoo is common with high-level shinobi. If they think you haven't earned it, they'll skin you alive.

Sakura: Wha!?

Kiryu: Hmph.

Majima:(mumbles) Maybe I should get a tattoo?

Sakura:(mind) Nooo! Don't ruin your perfect body!

Kakashi:(mind) This damn rule of silence... He should learn what he is.

Arriving back to the Village Hidden in the leaves, Team 7 was welcomed back by team 10 and their teacher.

Asuma: Kakashi, welcome back, heard you had to take some extra time to finish a mission.

Kakashi: Well, taking on the rouge right hand of the Mizukage isn't exactly a one-day job.

Asuma: Now that I have to hear.

Ino: Majima! I missed you.

Majima: It's nice to see you too, Ino.

Sakura:(glares) Grrr...

The two girls grab Majima by the arms and drag him along, following the teachers who were catching up.

That left Kiryu to walk alongside the other two members of team 10.

Kiryu: Hey.

Choji:!

Shikamaru: H-hey...

Kiryu/Choji/Shikamaru:...

Kiryu: What did you all do while we were away?

Shikamaru: A bunch of menial jobs. Nothing challenging.

Kiryu: I see...

Choji:(whispers) Dude, this guy is really scary!

Shikamaru:(whispers) Calm down. You're being such a drag...

Choji:(whispers) You're right... How bad can he be compared to Ino?

Choji: S-so what did you do while you were away?

Kiryu: Hmmm...

Kiryu: I mostly trained... The most exciting thing I did was drown a woman in a toilet before throwing her out of the building...

Kiryu: And beating up an old man a couple of times before watching his son chop off one of his fingers.

Everyone:.....

Everyone stopped and stared at Kiryu. This was the first time he told those parts of his story.

Choji:(takes a step away from Kiryu)

Asuma: It seems your adventure was quite "eventful".

Kakashi:(mind) He has to know who that sounds...

Majima:... Pffft... Kiryu I've gotta hear the details about those parts!

Slipping out of Sakura's and Ino's grip with a substitution jutsu, Majima walks over to Kiryu.

Majima: Come on, give us all the juicy details.

Kiryu: Alright... I was running through a hallway until this large muscular creature bursted through the door.

Kiryu: I would later learn that thing was a woman.

Giving his story much-needed context, Kiryu gathered the other's genin's attention.

Kakashi:(mind) Good save, Majima... Good, save.

Majima:(mind) Holy shit, how come Kiryu can live so crazily?

The two teams wandered over to the academy. After Kiryu and Majima retold their epic tale.

Kiryu: After convincing him not to kill his father, he chopped off his finger and we left.

Choji: That's crazy...

Shikamaru: That whole event sounded like a drag...

Ino: If you two were doing the fighting, what was Sakura doing?

Sakura: I was trying to get that stupid brat out of that building...

Ino: So being useless?

Sakura: I shot a fireball into that old guy's face...

Ino: Eh...

Sakura:(smug) I also saw Majima shirtless.

Ino: Tch!?

Shikamaru:(whispers) How can you stand those two acting like that with you? It sounds like a drag.

Majima:(shrugs)... It's entertaining.

Asuma: So, is your team going to take the exam.

Sakura/Kiryu/Majima: Exam?

Kakashi: Right... Yeah, I was going to have them skip it.

Majima: Skip what?

Asuma: You haven't told them? The Chunin exams are coming up.

Asuma: Strong young shinobi teams from all over are going to come over to our village for the exam.

Majima: Oi, sensei! Why didn't you tell us about it?

Kakashi:(rubs head)... It slipped my mind... But it doesn't matter, you three should skip it.

Sakura: Why?

Asuma: She's right. Why do you wanna skip? Don't you have faith in them?

Kakashi: No. I have no doubt they would pass. So there's no need to rush.

Kakashi: Besides, you just heard what they've been through. They've been pushed far enough.

Majima: Oi, let us decide that.

Majima: I say we should give it a shot.

Kakashi: All three of you must agree to do it.

Majima: Oh Sakura~

Sakura: Mhhh... I don't want to hold anyone back...

Majima: Kiryu-Chan?

Kiryu:... Sounds rad.

Asuma: You heard them Kakashi.

Kakashi: What's your angle, Asuma?

Asuma: Well... The other teachers and I are having a small wager...

Kakashi: And you want the reward to be sweeter.

Kakashi: You're annoying. Fine. Tomorrow. I'll give you three everything you'll need.

Kakashi; For now, go rest.

With that said, team 7 scattered to go rest.
