The field was filled with Kiryu's to infuse the Rasengan with his Wind Affinity. As half the Kiryu's tried to cut a leaf with wind release, and the others who succeeded went on to the next step, a problem occured.

The requirements to form, maintain then add the element to the technique was causing Kiryu to accidentally draw upon the Dragon's chakra.

Yamato would immediately seal any shadow clones and dispel them. This both gave the information they learned to Kiryu and stopped an incident.

As more clones were poofed, Kiryu gained more and more knowledge, until.

Kiryu: Raaaaah!

He managed put some wind chakra into the Rasengan, however this quickly caused the balance that took to maintain it to go out of wack.

Kiryu switched styles to try and find the best to maintain it, but it was clear that an accident was going to happen.

Kakashi: "Kamui"!!

Yamato: "Wood style; Wood chain sealing"!!

As Kakashi made the unstable Rasengan dissapear, Yamato used his Wood release to chain up Kiryu who's dragon tattoo had slithered up his arm.

Yamato: If the Dragon would have empowered that Rasengan, we might have caused some mass destruction.

Kakashi:(sigh)... Kiryu. Take a break.

Kiryu: Rah!

He shatters the wood chains with his brute strength.

Kiryu: I can keep going.

Kakashi: Before you continue. I need you to go talk to someone.

Kakashi: You know Asuma.

Kiryu: No.

Kakashi: The guy who smokes, leads your friends Shikamaru, Ino and Choji.

Kiryu: Ah. What about him?

Kakashi: Ask him for advice. He shares the same wind release as you.

Kiryu:(nods)

Kiryu: Rad.

Putting on his jacket, Kiryu rushes in search of Asuma.

Kiryu:(mind) I'm close... Once I understand this technique I should be able to make it my own...

Leaving shadow clones to continue training, Kiryu prime heads off in search of Asuma.

Asuma and Kurenai were on a little "date". On the surface, it seemed as if they were just two co-workers, chatting, but in reality there was a more romantic subplot going on.

Asuma: So you're going shopping, huh?

Kurenai: I am.

Asuma: Hmm... Well, since I'm here, I might as well help you carry it all back. This way you can buy enough to... I don't know...

Asuma: Stay home for a week?

Kurenai:(chuckles) A week? My, my... I don't know if I can eat everything without something spoiling.

Asuma:(smirks) Oh, I can help with that.

He pulls out a cigarette, but before he could light it, Kiryu leans in and does it for him.

Asuma: Whoa!? Kiryu?

Kiryu: Asuma-san. I need you to do me a solid and teach me a few things.

Asuma: Don't you have Kakashi for that.

Kiryu: It's about Wind Release.

Asuma: Huh?

Upon explaining his situation, Asuma, quickly understood why Kiryu came seeking him for advice.

Asuma:(blows smoke)

Asuma: I see... I'm surprised you have wind release.

Kiryu:(blows smoke)

Kiryu: Why?

Asuma: It doesn't matter...

Asuma: Alright, I'll be willing to give you a quick lesson if you pay for my teams next victory dinner.

Pulling out his wallet, Kiryu takes out a large wad of cash.

Kiryu: Is this enough?

Asuma:!?

Asuma: Why do you have so much money?!

Kiryu: I have a real estate business on the side.

Asuma:... Huh.

Asuma: A deal is a deal...

Kurenai went on ahead to deal with her shopping.

Asuma: Think of Wind Release as a way to make things sharp. Of course you may use it to blow things away...

Asuma: But its true power comes in its close to mid range prowess.

Asuma: Take my blades for example.

Asuma: With Wind release, I can sharpen them to easily cut through most things. And gives them a sligh better range.

Kiryu: And what is the best way to master it.

Asuma: Practice.

Kiryu:...

Asuma: Alright, alright. To help you, try thinking about the chakra flow in a different way.

Kiryu: A different way?

Asuma: Two wind flows, grinding against a rock until its dust.

Kiryu: Hmmm... Thank you, I think I get it.

He takes out some more cash.

Kiryu: Buy yourself something nice.

Asuma:(deadpan) Th-thanks kid...

(Later that night...)

Majima sat on the roof of the apartment complex he was living in. A cigarette balanced in his lips, he stared out with a unimpressed gaze.

Majima: Damn it Kiryu-chan. Hurry up and learn that new damn technique so I can pester you...

???: Majima Uchiha.

Majima: Tch!

He turns to see a old man wrapped in bandages.

Majima: The retirement home is that way, geezer. But it looks like you need the hospital.

Danzo: You should be careful how you speak to me.

Majima: I'd beat the shit out of you, but it seems someone beat me to it.

Majima; Get to saying what you have to say. I shall then decide whether or not to throw you off this building.

(A few days later...)

There were two more days until Kiryu's one week "limit" would be met.

As he continued to train, an emergency mission came up. Team Asuma was sent to handle the situation.

At a little town outside the Village, team Asuma discovered the reason for the emergency.

An Akatsuki member.

Hidan: In the name of the one true god! I am here for revenge, and the Dragon Jinchuriki!

Hidan: Oh... And did I forget to mention death. I want to see a lot of death.

(Meanwhile...)

Hiding behind the trees, Haruka the mysterious girl Kiryu met in the hidden sand.

Haruka:....

She watched Kiryu slowly master adding an element to the Rasengan.

Wishing him the best, she left, making her way out of the village, to a nearby mountain with a cave. Entering it, she arrived in front of a large statue.

Haruka was unnoticed by the people in Akatsuki coats as she went to sit in the corner.
