Team 7 arrived at the middle section of the test field, discovering a large stone construct.

Sakura: Guess we go in?

Kiryu: Simple enough.

Majima: Wait... There are people near.

As foreseen by Majima, two teams arrived at their location from either side of Team 7.

One team wore the hidden leaf headband.

The other wore a foreign one from the land of Earth.

Sakura, Majima, and the other hidden leaf team caught each other's attention, whilst Kiryu and one of the members of the Land Of Earth shinobi crossed gazes.

Guy: You don't agree on being rivals it just happens! Like passing kidney stones!

Sakura: Ugh...

Lee:(stare)

Lee: Yes... Be my rival!

Lee: It's only fitting for a prodigy such as yourself to have me! Someone who works tirelessly to be a match for you as a rival.

Majima:... Get lost, bowl cut. I don't have time to screw around with small fry.

Neji:(mind) That guy... He's the one I catch the princess staring at constantly.

The two senseis along with Neji noticed something not many, people could witness.

A pressure, like two beasts wanting to battle, coming from Gaar and Kiryu who were staring at one another.

Though this pressure was coming from them, they didn't seem to be the source, but instead, something within.

Kiryu and Gaar themselves, aware of this feeling, had differing emotions and thoughts towards each other from the pressure within.

Gaar:(mind) Who is that boy? Is he strong?

Kiryu:(mind) That guy... Looks like he could use a nap.

Kakashi: Kiryu.

Kiryu: Hm?

Turning away, the pressure begins to die down.

Kakashi: Is everything alright?

Kiryu: Yes. I'm fine.

Slowly, more and more teams arrived. Once the last three arrived with their teacher, the Hokage appeared.

Hiruzen: Allow me to personally congratulate you all for making it this far.

Hiruzen: Your next trial is one on one combat.

Hiruzen: You'll randomly be matched up with someone here. And then battle until one of you is unable to battle.

Hiruzen: The victor will go on to compete in the finals where the village and the Kage of the land of Earth will get to watch.

Hiruzen: In your one-on-one battles, you may use anything you like to fight as if you were to kill your opponent.

Hiruzen: Of course, our trained Anbu black ops shinobi will step in if they see that a killing blow was going to be dealt.

Hiruzen: One more thing, no outside help is allowed.

Hiruzen: You can all probably guess the cost of that.

Hiruzen: Any questions?

Sakura: Um, yes! Mister Hokage, how exactly are we going to be randomly chosen to fight?
