Within the territory of the Hidden Mist village, Jiraya snuck into an old once abandoned temple, now inhabited by a misguided force.

Going deeper into the structure, Jiraya discovered three people. A orange haired young man and a blue haired maiden, hidden from even them was a little girl with white hair. They surrounded the mega statue which the Akatsuki used to drain Jinchuriki of their legendary beast.

Jiraya: You know, I was afraid of something like this...

He approached the two.

Jiraya: It pains an old man like me to see my students fall so far from the path. Yahiko-

Orange haired guy: Pain.

Jiraya: Huh?

Pain: I am Pain.

(Pain; Deva Path)
(??? Level Shinobi)

Pain: And you will know pain.

Five other orange haired people arrive, surrounding Jiraya who washes away the regret from his face and takes up a fighting stance.

Jiraya: Ha ha ha! I am the great sage of toads!

Jiraya: One of the Legendary Sannin of the Hidden Leaf!

Jiraya: And even if I were to fall... If it isn't my fate to defeat you... Then I'm sorry. Sorry that you must face my successor.

Jiraya: For he is not as merciful as me....

(Opening Theme)

Summoned to the Hokage's office, Kiryu found Tsunade sitting with a sad expression. Kakashi stood in the corner along with Sakura.

Two toads stood upon Tsunade's desk.

(Grandpa and Grandma toad; Fukusaku & Shima)

Kiryu: Toads? Has Jiraya returned?

Tsunade: Take a seat, Kiryu....

Doing just that, Kiryu sat confused about the vibe within the room. He now noticed Yamato hidden in the room.

If he didn't know better, he was about to get jumped.

Kiryu: Is Jiraya back? I finished the Rasengan so he promised to teach me how to become a sage.

Tsunade: There's no easy way of saying this, Kiryu... Jiraya is dead.

Kiryu:....

Tsunade: He located two members of the Akatsuki. Two members who were once his students...

Tsunade: So he went alone... But he didn't make it.

Kiryu:....

Tsunade: I-I'm sorry. I understand your pain.

She walks around the table taking a seat next to Kiryu who hangs his head.

Tsunade: I know this is hard-

(SLAM)

Punching her desk, Kiryu gets up and storms off.

Tsunade: Kiryu!

(SLAM)

Just walking, Kiryu ignored everyone in his way and those who saw that look in his eyes, knew not to get in his way.

Eventually Kiryu busted into the hotsprings as if looking for something.

He ignored the mens section and stromed into the women's changing room, tearing it apart, looking for something. Finding nothing, Kiryu goes to the women's hotspring to find a familiar group of girls.

These were the Anbu women he met and fought on the day he met Jiraya.

Anbu lady: You again?! What the hell is wrong with you!?

Anbu lady 2: Taking after that pervy Sannin, huh?

Kiryu: Get out. Now.

They glared at the boy, ignorant to his rage as storm clouds gathered.

(5 minutes later...)

The Anbu women laid naked, bloody and beaten across the hotspring. One was face down floating in the spring as Kiryu did what he did in the changing room and ripd everything apart.

Kiryu:....

Kiryu: Tch!

He pulls out a cigarette and tries to lit it, but it began to rain. No matter how much he tried, he couldn't light it.

(Tsk, tsk, tsk)

???: Kiryu...

Kiryu:?

Kiryu: Iruka sensei...

He turned away.

Iruka: What happened?

Kiryu: He's not here...

(Tsk, tsk, tsk)

Iruka: Huh?

Kiryu: This was Jiraya's favorite spot in the village.

Kiryu: He told me... If anything, he'd always come back for this spot.

Kiryu: Jiraya was a pervy sage... But the stories he told about the moments that made this place special to him were wholesome.

Kiryu: This is where he first laud eyes on the woman he loved. Where he learned to embrace who he was...

Kiryu: And where he first met me...

(Tsk...tsk...tsk)

(Clack)

Tossing the lighter aside, Kiryu spits out the cigarette.

Kiryu: Sorry.... I thought... I thought he might be here. But he's not. He's dead.

Iruka: Kiryu... I'm sorry.

Iruka: Believe me. I know the feeling of loss.

Kiryu: I wasn't strong enough for him to even consider bringing me along...

Kiryu: That's going to change. I must get stronger. Once I do, I'll avenge him.

Iruka: Kiryu. I understand but you must remember, not to let this hate consume you.

He points to all the Anbu members.

Kiryu:...

Iruka: Or this will continue to happen.

Kiryu: These were love taps compared to when I'll unleashed all this rage on the one who killed Jiraya.

Leaving, Kiryu makes his way back to the Hokage's office where he discovered all the same players there.

But his focus was on the toads.

Kiryu: Grandpa and Granny toad! You knew Jiraya, right?

Fukusaku: Yes.

Kiryu: Do you know how he became a toad sage?

Fukusaku: Of course.... We taught him.

Kiryu: Perfect. Teach me.

Fukusaku: That's exactly the plan. If you wish to face Pain, you will need to learn the Sage arts.

Kiryu: Pain... So that's their name.

Kiryu: Let's go.

Tsunade: Wait. There's something we need your help figuring out.

Kiryu:?

Tsunade: Jiraya left a hidden code.

Fukusaku lifts up his cape to reveal Jiraya's dying message.

Tsunade: Do you know what this means?

Kiryu: Yeah, I recognize it. He made me memorize the whole thing.

Kiryu: Its a code that tells you the page and sentence of his book to create messages.

Kiryu: This one says "They aren't among them".

Sakura: What does that mean?

Kiryu: I'll figure it out when I beat the shit out of Pain.

With everything settled, Kiryu left the village to go become a Sage.

Tsunade began to prepare to face Pain.

Sakura went off to update everyone on how Kiryu had left, but when it came to Majima, she found him heading towards the village gates.

Getting deja Vu, she rushes towards him.

Sakura: Majima!

Majima:?

Sakura: Kiryu's left the village to train. But the village might be under threat of a powerful Shinobi called Pain.

Majima: I heard.

Sakura: You're leaving again, aren't you.

Majima: Kiryu being a Jinchuriki makes him a magnet for the Akatsuki. But with him gone, I'm wasting time here.

Majima: I'm going to go hunt down another one of these Jinchuriki to find Itachi.

Sakura: Majima, the village needs you!

Sakura; It needs all of us to come together-

Majima: I don't care.

Sakura: Tch!

Clenching her fist, Sakura glares at Majima.

Sakura: Majima, if you leave I'll make you regret it.

Majima:(smirks) Ohhhh, I'm about to piss my pants! Haha!

Sakura: Pretend to be this "Mad Dog"  as much as you want! I know the truth in your heart!

Majima: Tch!

Sakura: But if you insist on this act... I'll put you on a leash and teach you how to STAY!

Majima: Tch.

Sakura leaps towards Majima, but something was wrong as he lifted his eye patch.

(Woosh)

With more force then she intended to use, Sakura dislocates her own leg and goes flying past Majima.

Majima: Cute.

Once again, Majima abandons the Village.

Sakura:(mind) If I could... I'd chase you.... But mark my words Majima, I'll kick your ass next time I see you!
