Chapter 2: the graduating test

The morning at the Leaf village

The civilians were beginning to open the shop for a new day while the Ninjas were jumping on the roof to roof to work their jobs, but those Ninjas were very dynamic on something. Suddenly, the laugh with the statement of someone echoed through the whole village and everyone knew why they were so energetic.

"Ha ha ha I dare you to do what I do. Oh right! You can't because it's just me Naruto Uzumaki the future Hokage can do it ha ha" stated by a young blonde boy with sapphire eyes. He wears the white t-shirt with the red whirlpool in front of it; the orange jumper was being tied around his waist; the orange pants and the blue Ninja sandal; the protective goggle on his head. The special point about him is three whiskers on each of cheeks. He is running or jumping to avoid those ninja are chasing behind him. When he sees the corner of the road, he immediately deviates and the Ninjas follow his direction. But when they turned, they didn't see him and ran along the street in panicking to find him. They didn't notice that the boy had already hided behind the curtain look like the wall.

When they got far enough, he got out of his hidden snickering "You guys can't get me Dattebayo". He turned around to go opposite way but pumping into someone made him fall back on his butt. He yelled at the person although this was his fault to not notice his way "Oi! Watch where were yo-oo uh... um hello Iruka sensei" he hesitated when realizing whom he pumped into. The person is his sensei and he looked very angry right now.

Naruto said nervously "Why are you going out here? Aren't you teaching class now?" Iruka's face became redder and shouted back "I should ask you that question why was you skipping class and ran around harassing people?" without waiting for the answer, he grabbed Naruto and tied him up.

At the academy

Naruto was thrown in front of class and almost the students laughed at his position. Iruka stared at Naruto and asked "Naruto, why do you always absence and prank all the villagers while we will have the graduating test tomorrow?" "Because the lesson was so boring, you know. Plus the jutsu is nothing new and useless for my future Ninja career".

Iruka's face got red and furious at the answer adding the laugh of the rest students didn't help him anything. He then turned to class and shouted "Everyone got down here. We will have the fast practice for Henge no jutsu".

The students quickly resisted the command but failing to it. One by one they went down and lined up along waiting to be called. "This is your false to make him mad, Naruto. Blonde is very troublesome" grumbled Shikamaru. "Don't say 'crunch' such a thing 'crunch' like that, Shikamaru-kun 'crunch'. It's not nice" said Choji Akimichi while eating his chips.

The first practice is Sakura Haruno as she stepped up and made a hand sign saying "Henge no jutsu" a poof of smoke and standing there is the perfect copy of Iruka.

"Good job, Sakura"

"Thank you, sensei" said Sakura while thinking 'cha, it's so easy'. Then she turned to Sasuke and waved her hand trying to get his attention and said in a sing-song voice "Sasuke-kun~, do you see it~".

"Come back to your line now, Sakura. Next Uchiha Sasuke" called Iruka.

Sasuke stepped up while behind were the fan girls cheering his name "Sasuke-kun~" "Sasuke-kun~". "Henge no Jutsu" he transformed into Iruka.

"Excellent! Sasuke" said Iruka as Sasuke went back to his line while the fan girls below called his name very loud that annoyed everyone around.

"Next Uzumaki Naruto" as Naruto stepped to the forth. He made a hand sign and a big smoke poof out. When it is clearly and stands right there is a nude blonde girl. Her long blonde is tied into two braids, still has three whiskers on cheeks and some smoke covered her chest and lower area. She winked and blew a kiss to Iruka as well as asking in a sexy voice "Do you like my Henge, Iruka-kun~~?". Iruka's eyes widen and his jaw hit the floor as he flied back with blood shouting from nose, and it's the same result for all male in class too.

After seeing the effects he transformed back and asked Iruka "What do you think about my new Jutsu? I called it Sexy no jutsu". After Iruka recovered from losing blood, he immediately stood up and shouted at Naruto while using his big head no jutsu "What are you thinking to create that dirty Jutsu? You will be punished to clean on the mess you did to the Hokage Monument after class".

At the Hokage Monument

Naruto was now washing all the painting he had drawn this morning while Iruka was sitting on the fourth of the Hokage Rock observing him. After few minute, he commanded "Naruto if you don't finish washing it early, you won't allow to come back home". "Even if I come back home, nobody will be there waiting for me, sensei. You know me is orphan" Naruto exclaimed in depressing tone and came back cleaning with the head down saddening.

Iruka looked at Naruto feeling guilty for saying the sensitive issue. He quickly thought something to cheer Naruto's spirit up.

"Naruto"

"What's now, Iruka-sensei" Naruto grumped.

"After finishing washing, maybe I will treat you some ramen at Ichiraku" said Iruka thoughtfully as well as rubbing his cheek. When he looked down, he saw Naruto was staring at him with the shining and happiness eyes.

"Are you really meant it, sensei?" Naruto asked very excited.

"Yes! Naruto"

"Ok! I will finish it in short time" as he disappeared making Iruka panic. But when he saw the blur of yellow, he realized that Naruto hadn't disappeared but running quickly that he can't catch up Naruto's speed.

He was very stunning what Naruto did, he never expected one of his students will have the speed skill like that excepting Lee, one member in Gai team.

Before he recovered from the shock, Naruto reappeared beside him jumping up and down while yelling "Ramen" "Ramen". When he saw Naruto's react, he was happy too. Then he motioned Naruto to follow him as they walk down the stair beside the Hokage Monument and headed to the next direction.

At the Ichiraku ramen

"Hey! Oji-san" Naruto greeted as he and Iruka entered and sit down on the chairs. Teuchi looked forth and saw his number one customer with Iruka entered his store. He greeted in same tone "Oh! My special customer, I haven't seen you go to here nearly two week. What did you do back then?" Naruto replied "Oh! You know me, getting stronger, prank some villager. Have you heard my prank I did to the Hokage Monument this morning?"

"Yes, I have. It's the best prank I have ever seen, keep going" Teuchi encouraged. "Don't make him worse, Teuchi-san" grumping Iruka. "Ok ok! Now what's your order?" Teuchi asked to his two guests.

"I'll have usual" ordered Naruto.

"I'll have chicken ramen" said Iruka as Teuchi returned his kitchen to cook ramen. While waiting for the ramen coming, Iruka looked back Naruto and asked "Naruto, why you always prank around the Hokage Monument? Don't you understand the meaning of the Hokage?"

"The Hokage is the highest commander of the village; his mission is to protect the village and help it expand out; a fair judge for civilians and Ninjas; the first person come to the forth of the battle as well as the first sacrifice person in the battle too" explained Naruto as Iruka looked very stun although he had asked him it. He had thought Naruto would reply something like hokage is the strongest person or Hokage is the badass title or anything same to it. He didn't expect Naruto can answer more about Hokage because Naruto always skipped class especially the lesson about the history and the culture of the village.

Before he could say anything, Naruto continued "Sandaime for example, he is the students of both Shodaime and Naidaime; he is also known as the professor of jutsu; his students are the three Sannin legends although one of them follows the dark path while other runs away from her past. Just only once still work with the village, the Toad Sannin Jiraiya, he is the spy master of the village. Almost of the time he is out of the village but sometimes he goes back to visit Sandaime. That is all I know about the Hokage" he was amazed again to Naruto's respond, but it also bothered him too if Naruto knew the meaning of the Hokage then why he always harassed near the Hokage Monument.

"But if you've known all of it, then why you always prank the village especially the Hokage Monument"

Naruto turned his head to Iruka with a saddening face "Why ask a question you have already known the answer for it, sensei?" Iruka bowed down with guilty, why he asked that sensitive issue to Naruto. All of Naruto's life is filled of the hatred, the maltreatment and the ignoring of the villagers. And it is even worse when the children acted like their parent because of their hatred toward him. He doesn't have friend and just some people he trusts including Teuchi and his daughter Ayame, Sandaime and him.

The silent atmosphere fell on them and Iruka didn't know what to say. Until the sound of Teuchi's voice broke in "Ramen miso and chicken ramen here it is". Naruto then thanked to Teuchi and took his ramen bowl, but Iruka didn't get his so Naruto turned to Iruka and said "Just forget what I had said, Iruka-sensei. Now don't waste your ramen or else I will eat your" as Naruto's hand approached Iruka's ramen. "I don't think so" Iruka immediately took his ramen away from Naruto's approaching hand. Both glared at each other and suddenly burst out laughing. The awkward silence had completely broken by the small joke of Naruto, they then stopped laughing and dug into their ramen.

While Iruka just finished half of his ramen, Naruto had already turned to second ones. "Naruto, do you prepare for the final exam tomorrow?" asked iruka looking at Naruto worry because Naruto has a very low grade in the academy. Naruto finished the last bit of his ramen and turned to Iruka "I don't know what the test will be tomorrow but I will do my best Dattebayo!" with the exciting in the final.

"But first can I borrow your headband, sensei?" Naruto begged Iruka. When he heard Naruto's order, he smiled and said to Naruto as well as pointing at his headband "You mean this... this headband is the sign showing that you had become Ninja. You'll have it when you pass the test tomorrow". "Mou, you are so selfish. Hey! Oji-san, can I have three seafood ramen, please?" "Naruto!!" yelled Iruka.

After the end of the ramen, Naruto stood up and stated "It's getting dark so I will go back home to ready for the test tomorrow. Bye Iruka-sensei, Oji-san see ya later" as he waved at the two while running out of the store. "He's always exciting, isn't he? Well I go back home too, bye Teuchi-san" waved Iruka as he went to the path toward his apartment. "Ok see you next time Iruka" greeting Teuchi.

At the roof of the building far way some hundreds meter from the Ichiraku ramen

Naruto was standing behind a billboard advertisement as he watched Iruka going out the store and walked to his home path. "I really sorry to lie to you all this time, but it would be better if you don't know about it. What will be happening tomorrow, I hope you can pass it safely" he whispered as he jumped out there.

At class tomorrow

Almost the students are chatting about the final exam; some is afraid can't pass; some is talking about their future Ninja career like they surely know they will pass it easily; some is dreaming to get close to Sasuke (the fan girl). The door suddenly opened as everyone silenced and focused to the front, and they saw Iruka and Mizu come in. "Ok class! I hope you guys have ready for the test" Iruka spoke to the students and received the nods like the yes and continued "Um, when I call your name, you will go to the class next door to exam. And the title for the test is Bunshin no jutsu". After hearing what Iruka's statement everyone began debating the test.

One by one went out until Naruto's turn. When he enters the room he sees Iruka and Mizuki are sitting behind the table with some headbands of the leaf village on it. "Ok, Naruto. Now making your clone if you can make even one, you will pass it and have the headband" Iruka ordered as he pointed to the headband.

Naruto made the hand sign and called "Bunshin no jutsu", the large of smoke puffed out and when it cleared, next to Naruto was the clone but it's light color and lied on the ground lack of healthy.

Naruto looked down as Iruka watched him and said in disappointed tone "I'm sorry Naruto, but I think you have failed".

"Iruka, I think we can let Naruto pass it. He has tried creating once clone out" suggested Mizuki.

Naruto's head rose up with hope filled in his eyes after hearing the suggested but it immediately broken when hearing Iruka's respond "Mizuki, you know we can't let him pass it, it isn't fair for the other. They can make three or four clone perfectly but Naruto just can make only once and it's not useful at all". Naruto's face looked very sadden with tear fill in his eyes as he ran out of the room.

At the academy gate

The parents were standing in front of the academy gate to congratulate their kids or console whose didn't pass. They were too focused on their chatting that they didn't notice a blonde certain was watching them from a swing far some feets away.

Then one of the parents realized his appearance far away and spoke in a hatred low voice "I can't know why Sandaime let 'the demon brat' near academy and worse near the children, what if he kill our children". The other ones near the speaker heard what she said and immediately warned in the low tone "You should be careful, they can hear you and catch you for breaking the third's law". After that they glared toward the blonde boy with the hatred and angry.

"Those idiots, can't they stop it already? It'd been twelve years and they still kept their stupid hatred" groaned in low tone when he felt the glare from the parents. Then he sees Mizuki is walking toward him. "Naruto, I have something to talk to you, can we go some private place?" Mizuki asks. Then the two jump out.

On some building's roof

Naruto is sitting on the building's corner while Mizuki are standing behind him.

"Naruto, don't be mad at Iruka. He really wants to let you pass but because of his natural work, he can't do it" said Mizuki.

"I know but he didn't need to say that" Naruto replied depressed.

"Actually, it has another special test to become Genin" Mizuki ordered as Naruto turned around looking at him confusedly. 'Ha ha ha the demon just takes the bait' Mizuki thought.

Mizuki continued "Ok! You have to get "the forbidden scroll" in ..." "No" Naruto denied in his continue order. Mizuki thought 'What? Why does he reject it?'

"Huh! Naruto why you rejected it? This is the last chance for you to become a Ninja. Didn't you want to be the Hokage?" Mizuki asked in panicking trying to change Naruto's mind 'did he realize this is a trap?'

Naruto gets up and turns around to face Mizuki "I denied because maybe I don't have ability to become Ninja. A low rank technical like Bunshin, I can't even make one then how can I become a Ninja or even Hokage? Thank for your suggest but I'm afraid I can't join in" then turns right and jumps away leaving Mizuki dumbfounded there.

When Mizuki realized Naruto had leaf, his face turned red and cried angrily "that damned demon, he destroyed my entire plan. Firstly, I trick him to steal "the forbidden scroll" then I'll kill him and get it to Orochimaru sama. Now he ruined it and Orochimaru sama wanted it tonight I have no choice but take it myself. With the techniques in "the forbidden scroll" no one can stop me. Then I'll kill the demon for all of his sins" then jumped out of it but he don't notice there is someone who had heard all of it after Naruto leaf, hided behind the water tank. The mysteries guy gets out of his hidden and says "so that's what he want to do, if he want a game then I will play with it" then disappearing like a ghost.
