(David:)

Before the glow...

David was in a dark place. He knew what it was. The wait zone. The space where one waits for the white light to appear before them and take them away.

But this one was different. It was pitch black with a blue hue.

"Where am I?" He asked. "And why does this place look familiar?"

"Because you been here before, David." A voice spoke. A familiar voice.

"Spirit? Is that you?" He asked.

"Yes, David. It's been a while, but it is me."

"Why am I here? I thought I died?" He asked puzzled.

"You did. But instead of the white room, we brought you here."

"Why?" He asked.

"Because you proven that you're worthy of awakening the Jewel and become the Dragon King. But first, it's Sora's decision."

"What's her decision?" He asked.

"To give up her life as a human and revive you."

"No. She can't. I don't want her to save me if it means that she had to change."

"She already made that decision."

"And?" He asked.

"She chose to change if it means you can live."

"Why? Why does she want to change if it means to save me?"

"Because she rather die that to lose you."

"What?" He asked.

"She rather change everything about herself if it means to be with you. Why? Because she truly loves you. She can't live without you. That's why."

"She really loves me? She's willing to changed everything if it means for me to be with her?" He closed his eyes. "Sora."

"Yes. And it appears the transformation process has begun."

"What do you mean?"

"She just kissed your dead body. The Jewel is responding to her. The awakening has begun. Look around."

He looked around the room. It began to turn blue. Then it turned into fire. Blue fire. Then he felt. A huge power emanating within him. He began to glow.

"All Hail Dragon King Orion. All Hail Dragon King David!"

He returned to his body. Then slowly, he opened his eyes.

(Windrum:)

The remote controlled Fighter ship flew  up and around Windrum's giant dragon head. He was still getting shot up by cannon fire.

"Are the speakers up on the fighter?" She asked.

"Yes ma'am."

"Alright." She replied

She click the comms button to the ship and spoke.

"Windrum! Can you hear me?"

The dragon's head turned to the ship.

"Yes?" A loud voice responded.

"Turned back to your regular self and get in the fighter. The Anger is preparing to fire. I repeat, it's about to fire the Dematerializer cannon."

"Very well." Windrum responded.

He turned back into his Dragonid form. Then he fell towards the ship. He got in and took control. Then he flew the ship back to the rest of the group with a squadron of 5 fighters firing at him from behind. He turned around fired back the ships. He destroyed 2 on his first pass. He then circled around and destroyed the 3 remaining ships.

"Alright. I'm out of range. Tell them to fired on that fleet." He yelled as he flew back to the battle field.

"Alright General."

He reentered the battlefield.

(Risa:)

A couple a minutes after Windrum left the blast radius and reentered the battlefield, an incoming message came through from the Anger.

"Risa. We are now in range and the Cannon is ready. Fire when ready." The captain of the Anger spoke.

Risa responded. "David's Anger, open fire!!!"

The Dematerializer began whirring. The metal rods began spinning. Then it a ball was formed. Then the beam was fire into it and then fired a more powerful beam towards the enemy reinforcements. The beam hit the ship then the ship explode in a ball of light which got bigger and bigger and bigger, destroying all ships that come into contact with it. The ball then disappeared, along with the entire fleet. The enemy reinforcements was wiped out.

The crew of the Majestic Prince and the rest of the Dragonid fleet cheered.

"Great job Captain of the Anger. That was beautiful." She said

"Yeah. Beautiful and dangerous. Wait. What is that?" He said.

"What's what Captain?" She asked.

"Captain Risa, look at the Medusa. There's a bright light on tower." The captain said.

She looked at the Medusa and her eyes widened. The tower on top of the Colossus was glowing. Bright blue.

"Risa." It was Windrum. "Do you see it?"

"Yes. The light." She said.

"Risa, can it be?" Windrum asked.

"It is. The Jewel has awoken." She said.

(David:)

Everyone was looking at the blue glowing light.

Theron turned back into his regular form.

"The Jewel. It's awakening. But how?" He asked.

Slazer looked horrified and stunned. "It's impossible. The Jewel shouldn't be awakening."

Zephyrina looked at the glow then looked back at Slazer, who was distracted. She knocked away his sword and using her legs, tripped him up and kicked back. Then she looked back at the glow.

"Can it be?" She asked, joy on her face.

The bright glow began to fade. It got dimmer and dimmer. Then the glowing light disappeared. When the last of the light disappeared, everyone gasped at what they saw.

David's eyes opened. The light was blinding, but it faded quickly. David sat up. He felt completely different. Then he felt a hug.

"You're alive. David. You're alive." Sora said. He stayed in her hug for a little while.

Then he noticed the wing. He let himself out of her hug and and leaned backward to see her. She did changed.

Her face was skin was light blue almost white. She had small, very small spikes under her neck and on the side of her head. Her hair was a mix of black and blue. Her skin was light blue. She has smooth light blue scales. Her snake clothing was gone. She had sapphire blue hard scales covering her privates. She has short claws on her fingers. Her tail was thin and long. And her wings, for she had them out, was light blue. Her eyes were sapphire blue. She was beautiful.

"Sora. You're so beautiful." He said as he placed his hand on her face.

"Thank you. I'm so happy that you're alive." She said as tears of joy came from her eyes. 

He was entranced in her that he hadn't realized that he has changed as well. His skins was a mix of dark blue and white. His hair was white. His blue scales were darker then before. And his wings, were blue, but the fabric like skin was white. Also, the scales on his hands are a little harder and he has little claws on his fingers. He realized that he can summon large claws from these claws if he wanted to. They were dark blue. Wait, he no longer has 2 wings. He had 4 wings, 2 on each side. His tail gotten bigger by a little. His eyes light blue. But the biggest factor was the blue orb protruding from his chest. The Jewel.

Right beside him was a new sword. It had a blue gem with what looked like fire. The hilt was black. The blade was long and blue. In the middle of the blade, a white line went all the way to the tip.

"It seems we both changed." She giggled.

He smiled. Then the smile faded when he realized what she meant by that statement.

"I wished you hadn't. I didn't want you to have change yourself, even if it was for me." He said.

Her hand touched his face.

"David. I want you to know something. I don't care what I look like. I don't. All I care about is you. For I love you. And I don't want to lose you. Ever."

He smiled. "And I love you as well, Sora."

His smile faded as he realized that she was still in the manacles. He stood up and grabbed both sides of the right manacle and pulled slightly. The manacle broke apart like it was nothing. Then he broke the left. Then the 2 holding her legs. Then he grabbed the last one, the one on her neck and broke it. Then he stepped back. She stiffened, but finally she stood. Then he and her embraced in a hug that felt timeless. Until he heard the joyful crying of his mother.

"David...you're alive." She said as she rushed him. David had enough time to let Sora go before being hugged by his mother. She was crying, tears of joy.

"Yes mother." He said. "I'm alive."

Theron rushes to him. "How? How are you alive. We saw you die. How are you alive?"

"The Jewel." Sora said. "It was the Jewel this whole time."

"How do you know this?" Zephyrina asked.

"The spirit told me." She replied.

"The spirit of Draconos? It spoke to you?" Theron asked

"It did. It also told me that this was a test. For David and me."

"A test?" Zephyrina asked.

"Yes. It was a test to see if he was worthy. It was proven that he was when he gave his life to save me. But the spirit told me that the rest was up to me decide."

"What do you mean?"  Theron asked.

"I had to decide to either let him die or prove my love for him by giving up my humanity to revive him. It's obvious what choice  I made." Sora said.

"Why you though?" Zephyrina asked.

"Because David chose me."

"He chose you?"

"Yes. The spirit told me that when Draconos, the original Dragon King created the Jewel, the one the Jewel chosen must find someone they truly love. Then the test will begin. All of this was preordained the moment he met me." She said. Then she continued.

"The last thing the spirit told me is big thing."

"Which is?" Theron asked

She took David's hand into hers. "True Love is the source of the Dragon King power. Love is what he spread throughout the universe. But True Love is what he cared for. When he created the Jewel, he made it so that no one can be the Dragon King unless they have True Love."

Theron did something unexpected. Or rather, 2 things. First, he cried. Then he gave David a big hug.

"I know. Theron. I know." He chuckled.

They all heard a sneer. They turn and saw Slazer get up.

"No. No. I refuse to accept this. It should be me. I should be the Dragon King."

David growled. "Slazer."

Dark blue armor, appearing out of nowhere, appeared on him. Dark blue gauntlets and dark blue greeves. The sword on the ground flew to his hand. The helm looked dark blue.

In the blink of an eye, David punched Slazer in the gut and threw him into an pillar.

"After what you have done Slazer, you deserve to die. You kidnapped Sora. You almost killed my mother. You killed me by stabbing me in the back. But worse of all, you almost killed Sora and stabbed me in the back in the process."

He pointed his sword at Slazer.
"Your reign is done. I'll make sure of that."

(Windrum:)

Windrum was flying through the battlefield, attacking enemy ships and pursuing enemy fighters. He destroyed the bridge of an enemy ship with a spacial missile. He was destroying enemy fighters as if they were nothing. A missile was fired at him and he redirected it into the path of another enemy fighter.

All the while he was thinking of the bright blue light coming from the tower.

"It had to be the Jewel. It has awoken." He thought.

He attacked another battleship and it crashed into another when he destroy the actuator on the right. It leaned to the left. Then he flew around and fired a missile at a large Warship. It was bigger that the others. The missile impacted the large cannon. It must have sent debris into the ammo cells, cause the entire right front side of the ship exploded. The ship was falling. Then he flew into the ship and fired another missile before flying back out. The missile flew and impacted the main fusion engine. The ship exploded and took out 3 ships near it, one of them was an ally.

"Sorry allies." He said.

Just then, he came under fire by a weird fighter. It was firing laser at him. He dodged them, but the ship followed. Then he receives an incoming transmission. Is was from the enemy ship behind him.

"Well, well. If it isn't General Windrum. You're still as good of a pilot as well." The voice said. It was female.

"You're not bad yourself." He replied.

"Coming from you, I don't know if I should take that as a compliment or not."

"Who are you?" He demanded

"You don't remember me?" The voice giggled. "Well, I remember you. You're the only one who defeated me in that space race from years ago. The Ridian Ride?"

"Vipra!" He sneered.

"Yes. It's me. Queen of the Serpentines."

"We thought you died at the battle of Grik'frien. I hope they done you in." He barked at her.

"I thought you miss me. Guess not. I saw that blue light as well. It appears that the Jewel has awoken." She said as she continuously fired at Windrum.

"Quit bothering me with your nonsense. Let's leave the battlefield and settle our long conflict once and for all." He said.

"Very well. Lead the way, loser." She said cold.

Windrum and Vipra left the battlefield and got out of battle. They both left their fighter. Then they transformed. He turned into his secret and forbidden form again and she turned into a very, very large snake. But she's different. She has a large upper body of a human woman and a large lower body of a snake. The creature had snakes for hair. Large snakes.

A battle with Giants will begin soon.

(David:)

David threw Slazer against a wall.

Slazer coughed. He spit black red fluid out of his mouth.

"Very well, Prince. I guess I'll have to use the Trigion Stone."

He took out a black red stone.

"No. What are you doing? You know how dangerous the Trigion Stone is." Zephyrina exclaimed.

"I know it is. I'm gonna kill the Prince with it." He said while laughing maniacally.

He crushed the stone in his hand. Blood came from his hand and touched The stone. It glowed red and then her swallowed it. Then he changed. His skin turned blood red. He got bigger and his arms got bigger. His eyes turned red.

"Now I will you again, you pathetic excuse of a Prince." He said as he grabs his sword.

"No. You will not kill me again. I will put an to you and your reign here and now. You will no longer hurt anyone ever again. He said as he flourished his sword. "Also, I'm no longer a prince."

He then rushes at Slazer and Slazer rushed at him. Their swords clashed. They stepped back and swung their swords. They blocked each other's strike. None of the blows were connecting. Until one did.

Slazer swung vertical downward slash which he ended with a roundhouse diagonal upward. He sidestepped the vertical strike and blocked the diagonal strike. Then he struck with his sword which he feints to the left and does a diagonal strike which he jumps up and kicks him in the head. Sending him flying onto the ground. He hits the ground and gets back on his feet.

"I'm not a Prince. I'm the Dragon King." David said.

Then he enters sword stance.

David is now the Dragon King. Sora is no longer human. What will happen next? Don't forget to vote or comment.
