This may be one of the few chapters I've done that I really liked. Hopefully you'll enjoy.

(Sora:)

'Why?' She thought.

She walked down the hallway, tears flowing down her cheek. She was heading to see Lucy about homework, but she didn't care about it. So she decided to head back to her room. She didn't care. She just wanted to be his friend, but he wouldn't give her a chance.

She made it to her room. She entered, she turned around and locked the door. She wanted to be alone. She took out her pad of paper and begins writing. She wrote anything, everything, just to get her mind off of him. She worked on a story called the Tiger's Eye, a story about a boy who lost his parents and was raised by a tiger. The boy would live by instinct and compassion of hunting. Until the tiger that raised him was caught and put in a zoo. He returns to live in the city and visits the tiger. The point is that he lived like the tiger and experienced a lot about the tiger. And because the tiger is now captive, he understood the fear of of being trapped within himself.

As she tried writing, she can't get him out her head. She stopped and looked at his picture that she drew and she remember the way the light of the moon illuminated him. She also can remember that he saved her from dying at the hands of John/Theron. She started developing feelings for him. She could never stop thinking about him. She even began to see him in her dreams. She wanted to at least be his friend.

But he shattered her dream of becoming his friend.

"you didn't do anything, Sora. I just don't want to speak with you. Now leave me be. And don't ever talk to me ever again."

She felt broken when he said that. Her emotions gotten so strong that she throw her pad across the room.

She pulled her legs up and wrapped her arms around her legs and she begins weeping again.

(David:)

David sat on a inverted metal cliff near the ceiling of the Megadome. He flies up there when he wants to be alone. Like now.

He regretted what he said. He never want to hurt her, even though he knew he did. He just couldn't accept the feelings he had. Maybe it a because he didn't want to feel what's it like to be rejected. He wanted to be no where near her. If he sees her coming, he'll head the other direction. But she found him again. So he had to end it. He knew that he had too. For himself.

He even heard her crying which send more daggers of regret to his heart. His feelings for her were so strong. He wondered why he has these feeling for her . But realization set deep into his core. He loved her. He loved Sora. But he didn't want to face her. A craven he was.

"I'm sorry, Sora. I'm sorry."

(Sora:)

Sora heard a knock on her door, which pulled her from her sadness for a moment.

"Who is it?" She asked with a shaky voice.

"It's me. It's Lucy. Can you open the door? I need to ask you something about the homework."

She sighed. "Alright. I'll be there in a minute."

She's stood up and unlocked the door. "Come in." She said.

The door opened and Lucy came inside her room. Lucy was looking down when she walked in.

"So what do you need, Lucy?"

"I need help. I'm trying to figure out what year the battle of Little Big Horn began and---" she stopped at she was looking up. She saw Sora's face."what's wrong, Sora?"

Sora looked away. "It's nothing. I'm fine."

"You are far from fine, Sora. What is wrong?" She asked, face full of concern.

"..." She didn't say anything. She just closed her eye.

She was full of sadness. She felt a hand clasping her right shoulder. She turned to see that it was Lucy. She had a concern look on her face. Lucy then gently pulled her over to the couch and they both sat down on it.

"What wrong, Sora?" She asked gently.

"...it's David." She muttered sadly.

"What about David?" Her voice was still gentle.

"A-a-all I-I-I wanted to be was his friend." She choked, tears coming again. "He didn't had to hurt me with his words."

"What did he say?" She said, her tone gotten a little angrier.

"Well, he's been avoiding me. I want to talk to him a couple of times. Just to talk, you know? Well, when he sees me coming, he either goes in the other direction or flies off. And earlier..." She stopped herself.

"And earlier what?" Her voice got angrier.

"I-I-I was on my way to see you about a problem for our homework. I was running and accidentally ran into him. I apologized to him. I didn't know it was him until I looked up and saw his face. He just handed me my book and took the path I came from. I called out to him and asked him what did I do for him to avoid me. I asked him why he was he was avoiding me." She was still crying.

"What did he say?" Her voice was getting even angrier

"He told me that I did nothing. Nothing. He just didn't want to talk to me. Then he said for me to never talk to him again." More tears were coming down.

"That bastard. I'm a close friend of his, but he shouldn't have done this." She said in between clenched jaws.

"That's not the worse part." She said sadly.

"It wasn't!!!" Lucy barked at her, which made her flinch. She calmed down a little and spoke again.

"It wasn't it?" She spoke, still angry.

"No. What's worse is that I have feelings for him."

"Feelings?" She asked, puzzled.

"It all started that night 5 months ago. In that field where I first saw him. The way the moon light illuminated him. It was breathtaking. Then when he stopped John/Theron from killing me,I was grateful for what he done. When I was on that cold floor with him looking down at me, my heart beaten faster which caused me to faint when I was in your arms. And ever since then, I couldn't stop thinking about him. And he ended up invading my dreams." She got up and grabbed her notepad and showed her the picture of David on that field. "I even drew a picture of him. I just couldn't stop thinking about him. Then today. It felt like my heart broken for some reason. It felt-, it felt -,"

Lucy gently grabbed her hands. "Sora, you love him, don't you?" She asked, her anger was completely gone.

Her face was beet red, which cause Lucy to laugh.

"Ye-ye-yes." She calmed herself. "I do love him. But after today." She felt Lucy place her arms around her and pulled her into a hug.

"Don't worry about that. Everything will work itself out. In any case, I'll need to go do something for a few. I'll be back, then we can work on the homework together." She stepped back and went to the door.  She turned towards Sora and smiled. Then she closed the door. Sora turned around and went back to the couch. She hadn't realized that, the moment Lucy closed the door, she dashed down the hallway. She was looking for David.

(David:)

David was flying around the MegaDome, regretting what he had done and still thinking about Sora. He couldn't stop thinking about her. More so now, because of what he did to her. He was so much into his own thoughts, that he was that he hadn't realized that someone was calling him.

He landed and began walking around. Then he heard his name.

"David!!!!!" A voice shouted. It was angry and it was a woman's. He turned around saw Lucy storming towards him. Why is she mad?

"Hey Lucy." He said in a lower than normal voice. "What is it? What do you wanna ta--" he was stopped when he felt a fist punch him in his face. It was Lucy who hit him.

She hit him so hard, that she knocked off his feet and he hit the ground hard.

"Owww. What was that for?" He asked even though he knew the answer. She confirmed it when she spoke.

"You deserve that and more for what you did to Sora." She said with anger in her voice. This attracted the attention of the men who are stationed here. No long after she said it, that Risa and Therin arrive and see David on the ground and Lucy with an angry face.

"What's going on here? And Lucy, back away from David right now or you'll regret it." She said with a serious tone.

Lucy just turn her head and glared at Risa. What they saw, made them both flinch. Lucy was pissed.

"Shut the hell up Risa and stay the hell out of this!!!" This surprised them both. It made Theron step back and made Risa flinch again.

Theron looked at Lucy and then at David on the ground. He asked in a nervous voice.

"What did you do??? Lucy is never mad, so you must have done something really bad to have pissed her off this much."

She glared at him and Theron whimpered.

Then she turned back to David. He noticed that her facial expression changed. It had one of sadness.

"How could you? Of all these years we known you, how could have done that to Sora?"

Theron stepped forward, his facial expression harden. "What did he do to her, Lucy?"

She didn't hear him. "All she wanted was to be your friend. Your friend! And as if avoiding her wasn't bad enough.  You flat out told her to stay away from you and you don't want to talk to her. I would have understand if there was a reason, but you never even told her why. Why David why?"

"It's none of damn business." He said, his tone angry.

"You're right. It may be not be any of my business. But you hurt her. You need to apologize. What's worse is that you don't even know how much." She said with her eyes closed.

His anger disappeared. "What do you mean by that?" He asked, confused.

She opened her eyes and glared at him. "You don't deserve to know why."

Risa stepped forward. "Why Lucy?" Why doesn't he deserve to know why?"

Lucy motion towards her ear. Risa stepped forward and put her ear towards Lucy. Lucy turned her head and whispered to Risa. Risa's eyes widened and she gasped. Then she herself glared at David.

"Yeah. You don't deserve to know why, David." Risa said with an angry tone.

Theron looked confused. "Why?"

Like with Risa, she motioned him to her ear. He walked over lowered his head to so Lucy could whisper in his ear. His eyes got wide and his hands were shaking.

He step to the side of Lucy, glaring at David. "You don't deserve to know why. The only reason I'm not coming over there to beat your ass is because you are friend I was tasked to watch over you. Your mother would be ashamed of you."

"Then why?" He stood up. "Why?!"

Lucy stepped forward. "It because she loves you. That's why."

She just sucker punched him in the gut with that statement.

"She what? She loves me?" He muttered with a look of shock on his face.

"Yes David. She loves you. She's been thinking about you ever since she first saw you in that field. And when you stopped Theron from choking her, she told me that you made her heart beat faster. She told me you even appear in her dreams. Damn, David, she drew a picture of you in her notepad. Don't you get it? She loves you!"

He looked down.

"She loves me." He mutters in a low voice.

What happened next surprises them all. He starts crying. Tears were falling from his face.

"Damnit!" He muster the will to say it. "I wish I have known. I really wish I did. I'm so sorry Sora. I'm really am so sorry."

More tears fell from his face and he fell to his knees.

"I can't believe I said those things to her. If I had known, I would have never said those words. Damnit!! I'm so sorry Sora!"

"I see." Theron said while smiling. "It makes perfect sense now."

Risa and Lucy both looked at him.

"What do you mean?" Lucy asked.

He looked at them. "5 months ago, when you and Michael took Sora to that room to rest after I nearly choked her to death, he came to me and he was furious. He beat my ass for 15 minutes before come to you. I expected him to punch me hard in the face. Instead, he gave me a full beatdown. It was as if I did something truly wrong. I didn't under it back then, but now I do." He smiled. Risa caught it as well because she caught it as well.

He continued. "He had feelings for her as well. And it appeared that those feelings have grown a lot. He likes her. No. He loves her."

Lucy looked stunned. "Then why?"

"Rejection." Risa said. "He was afraid of being rejected. For what he has experienced for the past 11 months, he was afraid that she would reject. Now we know why he did it."

David was now on his hands and knees, crying. Then he felt himself being brought up to his feet and into a hug. It was Lucy.

"If you love her David, then don't waste another minute. Go get her. Go now."

She let's go. He summoned his wings and flew towards her room. Risa, Lucy, and Theron was following from behind at a distance.

(Sora:)

She sat there on the couch, thinking about David. Where is Lucy? It's been 20 minutes.

Then she heard a slow knock on the door.

"Come in." She said.

She looked back down and straight in front of her. The door opens and someone steps in.

She turns. "Where have you been Lu--" she stopped herself when she saw who it was. It was David.

She stood up and and looked to the floor. "Hello David."

He took a step forward.

"What do you want David?"

He took another step forward.

"Fine. Don't speak to me." She said and turns around.

He steps up behind her. She could feel his breath on her neck. Then she felt his right hand on her right arm. With a swift pull, he turns her around, let's go, and catches her in a hug. She gasped at what he did.

He leans in towards her ear.

"I'm so sorry Sora." He whispered, which made her eyes widen. "I wish I had know. I would have never said those things to you. I'm sorry. You see, I had feelings for you as well."

Her eyes widened even further. She let out a gasped. "Then why?" She asked.

"I was afraid." He said solemnly. I was afraid you would reject me. I had feelings for you ever since I saw your face. You were so beautiful. I been through hell while being here. I didn't want to be rejected by you. That's why I stayed away from you and said those things. But Lucy told me that you deep feelings for me. That you...loved me. I'm so, so sorry." He closed his eyes. He gasped when he felt her hand on his cheek.

"I forgive you, David. And she's right. I do love you. I had feelings for you ever since I first saw you. And when you saved me from Theron and you stared down at me, my heart almost skipped a beat." She smiled. "Do you love me?"

"I loved you the moment I saw you looking up at me. And my feelings grew. I won't ever hurt you again. Ever."

"I know you won't. For the first time in almost 4 years, I'm actually very happy . You made me smile. You made feel joy. And now I know what love is."

Then they embraced. A kiss that could last a thousand years. Neither of them want pull back. But they did. They then both smiled. Then they heard a bunch of people go aw. They turn to the door and see bunch of people staring at them and smiling.

Lucy steps forward, a face full of smiles.

Congratulations, you two. She rushes forward and hugs Sora. Then everyone surround them.

She still smiled. She was happy. And, she was in love.
