What Have You Done?

"DAY 5 OF THE GRAND MAGIC GAMES HAS BEGUUUNNNN!" the announcer yelled as fireworks exploded in the sky.

The cheer that erupted from the stands was much less enthusiastic. Acnologia grabbed the lacrima and put it to his ear.

"Any sign?" he asked.

"No, the dragon slayers haven't left the bar," Freed's voice came through. Freed stood outside the bar and tested the runes one last time, "No breaches. They're still inside."

"Good," Acnologia sighed taking a relieved sigh. He hadn't been able to sleep last night, his thoughts haunting him with visions of the fifth generation dragon slayers.

"And here come the teams preparing for the free for all!" the announcer cried.

The fifth day of the Grand Magic Games was just like it had been last time Fairy Tail participated. It was going to be a free-for-all in the city. The teams took the field at all sides, but two teams didn't. All of the dragon's teeth members save Frexis and Quill entered the field and looked around expectantly.

"Where are they?" Lisanna asked, studying the screen.

"For some reason, Fairy Tail and Sabertooth haven't taken the field...Uh... Oh, here comes the Fairy Tail team!" the announcer cried.

The team took the field and everyone's eyes became filled with horror.

"Oh no," Cana whispered.

"Shit," Acnologia hissed picking up the lacrima again, "FREED!?"

Freed, who was watching the game on a lacrima looked back to the bar which was out of the game's radius. He ran up to the runes and studied them carefully, "I don't understand... they aren't broken... they're just fine!" Freed yelled into the lacrima. He tapped a rune.

"Happy! Charle! PantherLily! Lector! Frosch! What's going on in there?" Freed yelled into the protected bar.

"NATSU!" Happy yelled flying madly threw the house, "NATSU WHERE'D YOU GO!?"

"Wendy!" Charle cried madly running around in her human form, "Wendy child where are you!"

"Gajeel?" Pantherlily asked opening a door. Nothing, "Erik and Laxus are gone too," he called.

"I can't find Sting-Kun!" Lector cried flying in circles.

"Rogue!" Frosch laughed running about, "Where are you hiding?"

"Freed, we can't find them!" Charle cried.

"We let them out of our sights for two seconds... I don't understand!" Pantherlily growled throwing another door open.

"I don't know how they could have gotten out," Freed gasped.

"Well..." Acnologia gritted watching the screen, "Explain this to me then!"

Laxus, Erik, Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy stood as the Fairy Tail team looking over the field with fiery eyes.

"But where is the Sabertooth Team?" The announcer questioned.

"Where are those two!?" Minerva sighed looking back for her comrades.

"Should we go?" Dobengal asked.

"I wish Rufus was here, he would have remembered to be on time," Minerva sighed.

"Yeah... but he's in the hospital alongside Yukino," Orga growled.

"An act Dragon Teeth will pay for," Minerva stated darkly.

From the tunnel behind them came clapping, slow, constant clapping.

"Good threat, good threat, top-notch threat!" Quill laughed walking up clapping. Next to him stood Frexis.

"You," Minerva growled. Magic power thrummed in the Sabertooth mages.

"Calm down, calm down," Quill grinned, "We haven't come here to kill you... yet."

"What do you want?" Dobengal snarled.

"Sabertooth, stand down!" Sting's voice came echoing from the tunnel. It was then that Sting and Rogue stepped into the light, the Sabertooth guild marks on their shoulders.

"Sting... Rogue... what is the meaning behind this!?" Minerva cried.

"Stand down Minerva," Sting ordered again, "This doesn't involve you."

"It involves my guild! What are you two doing!? What happened to my two guildmates!?" Minerva cried.

"They're fine," Rogue assured her, "They are both locked in a closet with protection runes that will fall once the games are over."

"What... what are you doing?" Minerva asked shocked.

"Or for goodness-sakes let's get this over with. The sooner we get out there, the sooner our fight can begin... can we get started!?" Quill sighed.

"Patience Quill, let the humans solve this squabble," Frexis grinned.

"Minerva," Rogue stated, "We have to fight them... we also have to smuggle these two into the games so that the fight can be fair. This isn't about the game anymore."

"B-but," Minerva began.

"We're sorry Minerva," Sting gritted. Rogue disappeared and before Minerva could react she had been hit in the back of the head and crumpled into Rogue's arms. Rogue gently lay Minerva on the ground while Sting knocked Orga unconscious.

"What have you done!?" Dobengal hissed.

"Just walk," Sting ordered coldly walking towards the entrance.

"No!" Dobengal yelled.

"I can deal with this," Quill grinned.

"Touch him and you die," Rogue snarled.

"Easy shadow dragon easy! I'm not your rival!" Quill grinned.

"Walk," Sting ordered again.

"Do you have your guild marks exposed?" Rogue asked.

Quill and Frexis sighed as they drew up their sleeves exposing the Sabertooth guild marks.

"There... can we go now?" Quill asked.

"Yes," Rogue growled.

The Sabertooth guild walked out into the town, Dobengal immediately looked at the camera's and began to yell something. Rogue worked fast and knocked him out.

"Wait... wait... Sabertooth's team is now... Is this legal!?" the announcer questioned.

"Yes..." the guest speaker sighed, "Sting, Rogue, Frexis, and Quill all left their guilds last night, they turned their papers in and now are part of Sabertooth... as for the act of betrayal against their teammate... there is no specific rule against that and... and even if we tried I doubt we could get those four to back down."

Frexis and Quill stared at Sting and Rogue.

"We met your demands, now get the hell out of my sight," Sting growled.

"Most happily," Quill grinned running down the street.

"Good luck against our teammates... you'll need it," Frexis laughed heartily.

Sting and Rogue gazed at the two coldly before looking down at Dobengal.

"Sorry," Rogue breathed, "But this is the only way."

Acnologia stood up immediately and ran to the exit. He didn't get far, he collided with a black rune barrier and swore.

"What the hell is this?!" Cana cried.

"A barrier?" Lisanna shuddered.

"We gotta break it!" Jet yelled.

"No!" Acnologia ordered gesturing for the guild to stand back. He read the runes again and swore, "You damn kids..." he whispered... "YOU DAMN KIDS DON'T YOU KNOW THAT THIS COULD KILL YOU!" he roared.

"What is it, old friend?" Makarov asked.

"Strength wise... this is a weak barrier... most anyone could make it. But if we break the rune barrier, we drain the dragon slayer of their magics," Acnologia gritted.

"What?" Droy asked.

"The damn kids tied their magic to it! They knew that any other barrier we'd just break... but if we break this one they'll be put in danger and we can't get to them all in time." Acnologia gritted.

"But... but why would they do that?" Bisca cried.

"Isn't it obvious?" Acnologia gritted, "It's the one barrier we can't break... the one that hurts our comrades. The damn kids are going to get themselves killed"

"We must have faith in them then... we can't help them unless we want to kill them... we must have faith," Makarov gritted.

"DAMN KIDS!" Acnologia roared.

Acnologia's roars went unheard by the seven dragon slayers who ran through the city ignoring the other contestants and hunting down their enemies.

Erik found his first. There was an attack of dark magic, Erik jumped to the side before hissing,

"You'll have to be faster if you ever want to hit me," he growled.

"Hit you?" Quill laughed walked into the light, "You have me all wrong... I want to tear you apart!"

"You won't get the chance," Erik hissed as scales covered his body. The scales solidified and covered his entire body as he activated his dual elements. His canines sharpened and his pupils dilated before becoming dark slits in his dark maroon eyes. "I'm going to make you pay," he snarled sounding like a dragon.

"Come to me Poison Killer," Quill laughed. Dark scales burst forward from his skin and the air became thick with dark particles, "Sing your last song of the fight, because this is the day you die!"

Laxus stared at the man in front of him. Frexis gave a small smile his orange eyes watching Laxus closely.

"Hello Lightning Slayer... are you ready?" he asked his voice taking a dark tone.

"To destroy you... I could have done that five days ago," Laxus answered coldly as lightning sparked off of him.

"You are the most unlucky of your nestmates," Fexis smiled. Scales slowly formed over his skin, they were yellow scales with splotches of green.

"And why is that?" Laxus snarled as gold scales covered his body and he grew in stature.

Frexis looked at Laxus with crazed orange eyes, he smiled with his canines and spoke in a terrifying tone, "Because unlike the rest of my comrades... I have real reasons to kill you."

Sting snarled as he ran down another empty street. He was avoiding the other contestants at all costs... he wanted the girl.

Then he smelled blood. He took off like a bullet, light radiating off of him. He stopped in the town square where a member of Quatro Cerberus lay bleeding.

"Hey," Sting cried kneeling down next to the mage, "Are you alright."

Warcry, the mage in question, didn't answer.

"He's alive," a voice giggled. Sting looked up, Treena was perched on top of the monument in the square, she looked down at Sting her eyes gleaming.

"He had nothing to do with this," Sting snarled backing away. His dragon force activated and glowing white scales covered his body. He began steaming as his white fire emerged and began to dance around him.

"I know," Treena giggled jumping down and landing in front of Warcry, "But I got bored waiting for you."

"You're sick," Sting spat.

Treena giggled, "Then cure me, holy dragon."

Sting roared as he lunged for her.

Gajeel was waiting patiently for his prey. He felt the wind around him and connected with the earth through meditation, as Acnologia had taught him. He knew - he knew in his gut that this was a fight that wouldn't only be hard, but nearly impossible. He didn't know how he knew... he just felt it.

The ground began shaking and Gajeel's red eyes snapped open, his pupils were slits. Metal scales burst forth and the shadows poured off him. The ground broke open but Gajeel was nothing more than a shadow gliding over the destruction. Liesy flew into the air as he burst from the ground; Gajeel launched himself into the air shifting out of his shadow form and collided with Liesy who hissed in displeasure. His purple scales were hard, but Gajeel was the Iron dragon slayer so he had no issue denting the face scales as his clawed fist collided with Liesy's face. Liesy grabbed Gajeel's shirt at the last second and threw him into the ground before landing a few feet away. Gajeel was already gone, his shadow racing towards Liesy.

Dren was whistling as he walked down the street.

"Come out, come out wherever you are Salamander. Let's play," Dren teased.

Something came crashing from the sky and landed on Dren; Natsu. Natsu growled looking down at the dragon slayer. Red scales covered his cheeks and arms and he steamed with the immense heat he possessed. Lightning cracked making his pink hair stand on end. His right fist had collided with Dren's face and sent the purple-haired dragon slayer into the dirt. Dren grinned and looked up at Natsu his eyes burning.

"There you are," he grinned, his cream scales erupted out of his skin and within a moment he had thrown Natsu off him.

Natsu snarled and lunged for him again. Dren easily deflected the blow.

"You have to do better... I do want an actual fight."

Natsu roared in anger and unleashed his roar.

Rogue was taken by surprise. He had been walking, following Synal's scent, when suddenly he was encased in darkness.

"Welcome to my world," Synal grinned appearing before Rogue.

"Bad mistake," Rogue hissed as he turned into his shadow form.

"Perhaps..." Synal nodded as Rogue raced for her. "Perhaps no."

Suddenly Rogue was thrown out of his shadow by the darkness. He floated in the substance for a second stunned.

"Good try... but I'm better," Synal muttered coming down on Rogue and delivering a swift kick to his face, "What was that about a bad mistake?"

Tirania, Wendy's challenger, was studying her reflection in the river when Wendy appeared. She blew Tirania off her feet and used a wing attack that was laced with poison. Tirania stood up after the blow and gave a wicked smile.

"Now young one... you interrupted me... that's very rude."

"Sorry, but I've never been a big fan of vain pretty girls," Wendy snarled her hair turning pink.

"It hurts me to know that you think I'm only a pretty face," Tirania said pouting.

"Dragon vs Dragon. One on One. This is what you wanted," Wendy snarled.

"Yes... Thank you child... thank you for playing. But now the game is over."
