Looks who's found this after it got buried. 

Hiccup POV:

Toothless has been gone for a couple of minutes which has left me alone with my thoughts. It's funny that I have so much peaceful time without any judging me or shunning me. I sometimes wonder how things could've been different if I was taken away like my mother. 

A mother who loved me and wouldn't think that I was a hiccup. Just as soon as that thought came....Toothless came back. He was being followed by....

The same dragon who took my mother?! 

If I was anything like my father, I would've taken revenge for my awful life on it. However, I knew that dragons aren't the mindless beasts that Berk has always told. My connection with Toothless proved that fact...however, I ran away before telling anyone. Not like mattered anyway since no one would listen and probably try to execute me. I knew that most wanted to do that since I was the weakest one in the village. 

I was cut off from my thoughts when Toothless bumped his head against my back.

"Sorry bud, I was just in my thoughts." I said as I stood up and turned around. The pair kept staring at me for a moment before Toothless made a notion to the other dragon.

"Do you want me to follow him?" I asked. Toothless nodded and I slowly climbed onto his back. I trusted Toothless and knew that where ever he was taking me wouldn't be that dangerous. 

Though some confusing feelings for him would plague me in the future.

Toothless POV:

Hiccup climbed on my back and started to make the long journey to see our king. Hiccup was the second human who hasn't tried to strike us down for all of the raiding. They never bothered to know why we did that and just keep thinking of us as beasts. Before I could continue my thoughts any further, CloudJumper started to speak to me.

Toothless? Is he...Valka's son?

I think he is. Though...he is small and scrawny. 

Knowing how those humans value strength and the will to kill dragons...I take it, he wasn't well liked in his village.

Yes. He was an outcast of the village and was the chief's son. When I got captured, I thought that my life was going to end then and there. However, he hesitated and set me free. Then over the course of several days, bonded with me.

That was pretty brave of him and I think he might be key to connect humans and dragons.

If so, then he was a long road ahead of him. As his best friend...I will help in anyway I can. 

CloudJumper was just about to say something else when I noticed that we were near the island. I hope that Hiccup won't freak out when he sees our king and faint. Though...I had some weird feelings towards him lately, but I shook them off.

Hiccup and I are friends. Nothing more, nothing less.
