Escaping the Pits

Song: Gone

~Lucy~

"Come on guys! We have to keep moving!" We defeated the Executioners but walked away with damage. Even after I was awakened the battle against Hisui's pets was extremely difficult for even me to handle since I was still weakened. Somehow, we managed to defeat them. Natsu and I were leading as we leaned on each other for support, but really I was supporting him after all the hits he took for me. "Lucy, we need to rest. Mira can barely stand up straight." Natsu begged again staring back at the group that was limping behind us.

So my premonition was true. The damp caves were actually the Pits under the kingdom. So...is Natsu really going to die? Though my premonition showed me I pushed them on, I stopped walking. "Okay, let's take a quick break, everyone." All my friends fell to the ground and moaned from fatigue. Gwen rubbed her scalp eyeing her wrist, Yukino was in deep thought as she held her keys close. Mira fell asleep with Wendy checking her vitals. The exceeds kept to themselves which worried me, and Levy...she was still the Dark Knight. I told Levy if she wanted me to take away the piece of Darkness from her that it was okay, but she insisted to keep it. She told me it was a way that she'll always know I'm okay no matter how far away I am from her. Even after everything, Levy still insists on helping me. Levy was the best friend I don't even deserve.

Natsu and I sat down next to each other when he put his head on my shoulder for comfort. "Are you okay?" He whispered as he grasped for my hand. My thumb caressed his knuckles. "I'm alright Natsu. Really, I feel a lot better now." It was a constant question that I'm used to answering, but this time I really did feel better. I was with Natsu, they came for me even after I ran away. They forgave me without hesitation and pulled me in for a sweet hug after I told them of Daniel's trick. Natsu simmered the air around him after I told him of what Daniel did, but I couldn't understand the pure hatred in Natsu's eyes.

"Natsu?" He looked up to me. "I think I want to go back to Aria after this is all over with. I haven't seen Adroath for some time. I miss him...I miss my people." Natsu smiled, leaning to kiss my cheek. "Then we'll go together. We'll stay for as long as you like and go make a wish to the pond. We'll even visit the Willow Tree if you like." I was about to smile until I thought of Hades...the man that created me loves me, and I can't love him back. The moment between me and Natsu ended too quickly, and I could only nod my head in agreement. "Lucy?" Natsu asked worriedly again about me.

I didn't answer Natsu. "I think it's time we continue moving. We don't have much time if the Executioners continue looking for us." I pulled myself up and clapped my hands. "Alright, guys! We're moving forward!" It took some time, but I couldn't blame my comrades. They were all battered, and I was afraid we weren't going to make it out if we keep moving this slow. I pulled Natsu's arm around my neck and began walking ahead. 'There has to be an exit to this place. Come on Lucy, you're the only one that can save your comrades and get them out of here!' Mentally in my head, I feared we were trapped, but my heart told me something different. I couldn't understand the sensation, but what I kept trailing to was my heart pulling me forward like a fish trapped by a rod. My only solution was to follow what my heart believed.

Jellal

There was a powerful pull of magic inside the stadium. With the Council's Symbol of Mercy we walked freely and away from the shadows to search for the fiend. Meredy and Ultear shifted uncomfortably from such exposure as I was. "Jellal, are you sure we are okay doing this? We have been called out multiple times because of who we are." Ultear whispered as she held her symbol from the Council closely. I nodded my head turning to look from her. "It's alright my friend. As long as we have our medallions we are safe. What's more important is to find the strange sense of magic in the stadium!"

This magic held a resemblance of Zeref, which could possibly help lead us to end the Black Wizard once and for all! I halted, feeling the magic relinquishing. 'Why did it suddenly shift out of the stadium? Are there...are there two beings that are involved with Zeref!?' I turned to my comrades. "Quickly ladies, we need to move!" We moved to the exit when I turned back to see the large screens at the center of the arena. I watched Fairy Tail fighting against members of Sabertooth and winning fiercely. Ezra was beside them in her glory as she fought like a Goddess. A small smile shifted onto my face. "Soon Erza. I promise." I turned meeting up with  Crime Sorcierè.

A gasp escaped my lips. I felt a soft breeze that tickled my skin. "Minna! I think we're close to an exit!" I gently released Natsu to extend my wings out to scout ahead. "Levy watch over our friends! Everyone else takes a quick breather!" They all told me to be safe and return quickly. I flew with pace feeling as if I was being timed. It must've been minutes until I reached the end to only meet a large door made of stone. I landed on my feet putting my hands up to it. "What!?" The doors didn't even have a handle of some sort but only the outlines that showed it was clearly an exit.

"No! No this can't be it!" I tried to spark my powers with life, but there was nothing. I was still powerless for the time being. 'How are we going to get out!?' I put my ear to the door to not hear anything. I knocked against it hoping someone or something would hear me. "Hello!" I called out only my echo to answer me back. I was a fool to think that would work. 'Maybe if I get the others we can plan a way to open this door.' With haste, I flew back and told them of my discovery.

Mira gave a thumbs up and stood on her feet. "We should quickly open this door then. I think someone is getting hungry!" The Transformation Mage said jokingly as she pointed at Natsu who actually looked like he was starving. Our group walked together as fast as I could push them until we made it to the door. Levy stepped forward putting her hand to the door as her demonic maroon eyes scanned over the stone diligently. "I don't believe it holds a rune or enchantment, but it seems it can only be opened on the outside of the gate." Levy dropped her hand. "This is just a regular door, but made of heavy stone that is."

Natsu punched his fists together. "You know what, I've had enough of this crap!" Natsu stared at Gwen. "Come on Gwen! Let's do this Dragon Slayer style!" Gwen rolled her eyes and followed suit with Natsu until they were both in front of the stone gate. "Dragon Slayer style? What the heck is that!?" My arm was being tugged by Happy. "Trust me, Lucy, you don't wanna know." Natsu and Gwen turned their forearms into scales, which made my jaw drop from never seeing this until now. "Ready?" Natsu asked staring intently at the stone. "Ready," Gwen replied. Natsu started counting down. "One...two..." Natsu said getting louder. "Thre-"

The door suddenly started opening. Gwen and Natsu panicked and backed away from the stone gate creaking open out of nowhere. "Wow, Nat-zu! All you needed to do was count!" Happy acknowledged jumping into the air. Light from what must be the sun setting rained into the Pits. I shielded my eyes and turned away from the excessive amount of light. "Wait...who are you?!" Gwen yelled as she was able to see clearly even with the light streaming down on us. My eyes adjusted eventually when I finally looked up to see what Gwen was talking about. In the center of our exit, was a stranger in a dark cloak. The wind made the person's cloak dance around when I heard a gasp.

"I can't believe it..." Another gasp was heard, this time knowing it was mine. I...I knew this person. "No way..." I whispered when I glanced to see everyone else in shock. "That's not possible," Wendy said with her eyes like little dots. The stranger...no the person I knew walked down and ignored Natsu and Gwen. The cloaked person walked passed everyone else until I found that they were in front of me. Their hand was placed on my cheek until I watch tears stream down from their covered eyes. "I can't believe it. It's been so long, Lucy..."

The person revealed their face, to show another Natsu.

"Natsu?" I exclaimed when I looked back at the first one. "What the hell is going on here?!" I yelled and stared back at the second one. The second Natsu still cried but held a smile on his face. "Lucy," He spoke. "I missed you..."

Hey, Lovelies! Sorry, it's been months since I last updated, I bet none of you even read this book anymore, but that's cool because I have been a very bad author. However, I think I can make up why I have been a very naughty author. It's because...
•I'm writing another Nalu book!•
I know, I know not a big deal, but I'm really excited about this book, and it's not going to be a series unless you Lovelies really like it. It'll be one deal and that's that. Now, I'm really sorry I haven't been focused on this series, but I'll make it up to you Lovelies. I won't be able to update fast anymore, but I'm gonna try my hardest. Okay, Lovelies, I missed you guys but I'm back and not dead! As always...love you all!❤️
