I walked through the park with my friends Aria, Kyler, Kodi and Jean. Aria was holding Kodi's hand with a smile while I stood in between Jean and Kyler. " Have I ever told you how much I love your eyes?" Kodi grinned at his girlfriend. They have been together for a little over a year now, and they always seem to have to show their love for each other in front of everyone.

Aria giggles and shoves him playfully. "Probably a million times now." I smile at how Aria looks at him, they really are a perfect couple. Kodi just smirks back and kisses her cheek, turning back forward to lead us to our spot. I look around the park, noticing that there was quite a few people outside this fine spring morning. I felt the crisp air brush across my cheeks, and it makes me close my eyes and take a deep breath.

I feel a poke on my shoulder and open my eyes, turning to my side to see Jean facing forward. Her golden blond hair seemed brighter in the morning light, and her greenish-grey eyes shone with radiance. "What did you do that for?" I said with a joking expression. She looked back at me with confusion and I realized it wasn't her that poked me.

I pursed my lips and put my hands on my hips. I turned my head around to see a snickering Kyler. I scoffed at him and couldn't help but smile. "How come I always fall for that!" I complain and hip bump him, even though my hip could only reach his thigh. He continued to snicker at me and I punched him in the stomach.

Kyler stopped for a moment and held his stomach as if he was hurt. "I've been hit!" He yells and everyone turns around to laugh at his poor acting skills. His hazel eyes looked right into my dark brown ones. I gave him a smug smile, "He was being a dork." I explained. My friends all shook their heads and laughed, continuing to walk. I waited up for Kyler as he stumbled over to me.

"You're so mean to me." Kyler pouts and runs up to catch up with Kodi and Aria. I sigh and walk forward to Jean. My dark brown hair blew in the breeze as Jean and I walk side by side in silence. I've always seen Jean as a shy and quiet girl. Even though the rest of us got out of control at times, she always seemed to stay cool.

"We are almost done with the 8th pod!" I exclaimed to Jean, hoping to strike up a conversation with her. In front of us, Kodi, Aria, and Kyler seemed to be laughing at a joke, and I smiled warmly at how happy they looked. It always seemed to lift my spirits to see others happy.

Jean grinned at me, "I know, and I'm super excited to finally get my post. I really want to know what I'll be doing for the rest of my life." She always seemed to be happy to talk about her future. Unlike me, she never got nervous about what will happen to her later on. I always get nervous that I'll receive a post that is an embarrassment. Not that my parents would care what I got, I'd just be disappointed in myself.

"We're here!" I heard Kodi say up ahead. I grabbed Jean's arm, and pulled her with me as I ran to catch up with the others. When I caught up to them, I noticed we made it toward the Eastern edge of The Dome.  I looked down a short hill to see the familiar worn down playground that I've grown to love. We ran down the hill, and Kodi shoved Aria playfully, causing her nearly miss tripping down the hill. We laughed as she freaked out at him for it.

We all got to the playground and I hopped onto one of two swings. Aria rushed up right next to me, mounting the second swing. " Beat you!" She laughed at Kyler, who gave her a smug face. Jean went over and sat down on a bench in front of the swing set. Kodi went behind Aria and pushed her on the swing. I swung my legs back and forth so I swung forward and backwards on the swing.

"Hey Taylor, excited to get a post?" I heard Kyler's voice say. Everyone else turned quiet to listen, but the air around us stayed happy and full of joy.

"Of course!" I answered enthusiastically. "I'm really hoping to be an animal trainer. What about you guys?" Kodi stopped pushing Aria on the swing, so we were just sitting on the swing like a chair. Kyler and Kodi were leaning on poles right next to each other.

"I want to be a sculptor." Jean spoke up. We all knew that she was artistic, but I never knew she was into sculpting. "I've been sculpting since I was a child, and it really fascinates me of all that you can do with just a simple piece of rock." She smiles at all of us, and it makes us look at her with pride.

Aria cleared he throat, "As you all know, I want to be a nurse. But if that doesn't work out, I think it would be fun to work as a radio show host." She looks at us as if she were nervous. Aria is very good at improvising, and has always had a good taste in music. I was surprised that she would even mention being a radio show host. It was a rare job, and it's not very good to get your hopes up on something like that.

Kodi smiled proudly at her, "I guess it's my turn then. I want to do something with science, maybe be a Physicist." We all smiled at that, knowing that he has always been interested in everything to do with science.

We all turned to Kyler, who had his arms folded across his chest. He looked up from the ground to see all our gazes focusing on him. That made him sigh and sit up straight. "You expecting me to tell you what I want to be?" His question brought tension to the air around us, I wasn't sure why. He pursed his lips together and looked at me, staring intently at me with his caramel like eyes. "I already know what I'm assigned to be. I'm going to be a Keeper."
