"Oh my fuck! On the hood of his car?!"

Millie looked over at Laura who nudged Bridget.

Delilah nodded, still feeling him from earlier the day before.

"And is he....ya know? Huge?" Bridget asked.

Delilah smiled,"I've never felt someone stretch me... like... actual stretching, but it felt good."

"Holy shit... As much as I hate talking about dickhead, I'm assuming Brett was much smaller?" Laura asked.

Delilah sighed, "Yes. He doesn't compare at all to Donnie."

"Donnie... I hear he doesn't allow people to use that name unless he likes them," Millie mused,"I still can't get over how you never heard of him."

"You never mentioned him! My goodness though.. I've never come so hard in my life."

"I'm crying because Jeff needs to up his game!" Bridget said of her husband, "I love him, but damn he's a wham bam thank you ma'am!"

Delilah looked around the bridal shop and sighed, "We've got no fittings today, either?"

Millie shook her head, "It's not easy to cater to small town people for a wedding. Everyone's hitched or too young."

"Well, we do have some events next week so it'll be fun. We'll have Casey watch the shop," Delilah said of one of their employees.

Laura and Bridget scarfed down the rest of their lunch and said their goodbyes.

"You need to rest up before this weekend!" Laura called to her on their way out,"We'll come back and pick you up because I'm sure you won't be able to walk for days! "

Delilah blushed,"I'm barely able to now... "

Bridget scowled when Miranda walked into the shop as she and Laura left.

"Hey.." Miranda studied Millie's face and then turned to Delilah, "Can I see a few dresses?"

"Sure! I was wondering when you'd be in for that," Delilah was about to head onto the floor when Millie pulled her back, "What?"

Millie sighed,"Why are you catering to her?! She, -"

"Has never laid a hand on me. She's a paying customer and has used us before when her sister got married," Delilah reminded her friend,"Be nice."

Delilah smiled as she headed to the dress racks with Miranda.

"Where is your sister? Isn't she your maid of honor?"

Miranda smiled, "Yes, but she's busy."

"Oh, well that's too bad. Next time then!" Delilah ran a hand over some of their dresses,"What are you looking for? Mermaid? Lace? Traditional?"

"Traditional," Miranda said as Millie laughed.

"Traditional isn't fucking someone else's husband," Millie muttered.

Delilah turned to her with a glare and then back to Miranda.

"I have some dresses that I think would look great on you," Delilah said, "Follow me."

Miranda lowered her gaze when she hurried passed Millie and followed Delilah into another section of the store.

"These are beautiful," Miranda said, looking at one of the racks of dresses in awe, "Wow.. "

"Yes, they're patterned from the old style. This one is from the early twenties and over here we have a few from the forties. Does... does.. Well, is Brett having a say in this?"

Miranda flinched, "Not really."

Delilah remembered her wedding day with Brett. It was one of the happiest days of her life. They were both 19 and way too young, but they were in love. Brett wanted her to have the best at the time and didn't have much say in her dress, but he loved it.

"Well, I'm sure he'll think you're absolutely lovely," Delilah said,"How are your daughters?"

"They're fine," Miranda said,"Can I try on these three?"

"Of course!" Delilah took the three chosen dresses off the rack and headed towards the dressing room, "Here you go. Don't hesitate to ring the bell if you need me."

Miranda smiled and headed into the fitting room.

Delilah lingered nearby, spreading out some of the dresses and pushing older ones to the front.

Miranda stepped out of the fitting room and stared at herself in the mirror, "It's got too much neck."

Delilah nodded, "It's very frilly up there, but it looks nice on you."

Miranda continued on and tried the next dress which was too lacy, but the last one seemed a little revealing.

"You still look good in all of them! Which one did you like the best? I know I've got plenty of you to try and we can.." Delilah caught sight of the bruises on Miranda's back, "Miranda.."

"Yes?" Miranda scurried into the fitting room when she saw what Delilah was looking at, "I'll come back and try on some more when I have my sister here!"

"Miranda! Is he doing this to you?!"

Miranda rushed out of the fitting room with Delilah on her heels, "Miranda, please, please don't stay with him. Is he doing this?" Did he hurt you?"

Millie glanced up from the bridal magazine she'd been perusing and frowned as Miranda hurried out the door.

"Don't tell him I came by!" Miranda pleaded.

Delilah watched helplessly as Miranda got in her car and drove off.

Millie sat there in shock as Delilah headed back to the register.

"I knew he'd start with her sooner or later," Millie said, "They don't stop with one."

Delilah balled her fists and shook her head,"He can't get away with this anymore."

"Honey, what can you do? He knows he's an asshole and Miranda won't leave him."

Delilah thought about what she would do if she could get away with it, but those thoughts quickly passed when another customer stepped in and took her out of her plotting.

Maybe a Boston boy could help her.
