Chapter 5

Jungkook's POV

After the Atlantis Ride, I had him purchase the photo that was taken and ran ahead of him. I didn't want him to see my face that was clearly plastered with happiness.

I think I'm finally getting closer to Taehyung. Is it too much to say that I'm thankful that Jin left Taehyung and I alone together?

The more time I spent with Taehyung, the more I'm able to see another side of him. He's playful and childlike, nothing like the bad boy he pretends to be.

He has a wide rectangular smile and a deep laugh. He has brown eyes that almost look hazel in the sunlight. He tends to skip while we're walking, admitting he does it a lot when he's happy. He also makes these weird noises every once in a while, which I find strange yet completely adorable.

We encountered another group of fangirls while we were walking, instantly resulting in Taehyung grabbing my hand. I don't mind at all though. I can actually get use to this feeling.

"Are you hungry?" Taehyung asked as we stopped near a snack stand.

I nodded my head eagerly, pointing at the churro. He chuckled lightly and paid for it. "You eat a lot for someone who's so small."

I ignored him and happily ate my churro. I fed him small bites, enjoying the fact that we were practically sharing an indirect kiss. He would watch me eat and leave small comments about me looking like a bunny.

His phone suddenly rang which I took as an opportunity to look in the other direction, trying to control the blood that was rushing towards my cheeks.

"Hey shark bait?" He spoke after ending the call. I continued to look away, not answering to him.

"Yah! Shark bait!"

Still not looking...

"Shark bait!"

Nope nope nope...

"Jungkook?"

"Yes?" I smiled, facing towards him with the half eaten churro.

"Ah, I get it.." He grinned. "You don't like my nickname for you?"

"No!" I growled.

"Whatever, you're still shark bait to me." He laughed. "Anyways, do you mind if we make a quick run to the dolphin tanks? I have to feed the dolphins before we leave."

I nodded as he pulled me with him towards Dolphin Cove. "Thanks."

Taehyung looked at me questionably. "For what?"

"For paying for my cotton candy. And the photo. And the churro. And dealing with me." I answered.

He squeezed my hand before smiling at me reassuringly. "It's no problem at all. I'm actually enjoying spending time with you."

Taehyung lowered his head, inches away from my face, whispering "Jungkookie."

I widened my eyes and shifted my gaze towards the ground. He giggled as we continued to walk. I cursed myself for being so quiet around him. My stomach is tied up in knots and he keeps tying new ones.

As we were walking, someone jumped onto Taehyung's back. "Taetae!"

Taehyung released our hands. I frowned, immediately missing the warmth of his hand on mine. How can I be so attached to him after just one day? I'm rushing too far ahead of things. Stop it, Jungkook!

"Yah! Hobie! Get off of me! You're too damn heavy!" Taehyung shouted.

The guy, who I recognized to be Hosoek, hopped off of Taehyung's back and playfully poked his cheek.

"I'm not heavy. You're just weak." He joked.

Taehyung rolled his eyes, but then stopped in his tracks when he noticed something. "What happened to you?"

He grabbed Hoseok's chin and turned his head, observing his face. Hoseok had bruises and scratches by his eye, lip, and near his temple. There were also small cuts and blood on his fists.

"I fought. Nothing new." Hoseok shrugged.

"With who?"

"Mark and Jackson. They were making trouble to the penguins by flying French fries and trash into their exhibit." Hoseok answered. "So I beat the shit out of them."

(a/n: I love Got7! Please don't hate me)

"By yourself?"

"Yeah." He groaned. "Jimin was helping Yoongi so I was alone. They got more hits out of me then I did with them, but they ran away. 2 vs 1, what do you expect?"

"You should have called me Hobie." Taehyung sighed. "I could have helped you."

"I didn't want to ruin your date with shark bait." Hoseok said, but in what seemed to be an annoyed tone.

"We're not on a date." Taehyung retorted. "And I'm always here for you."

Hoseok jumped into Taehyung's arms, hugging him tightly. I suddenly felt like an outcast, like I was intruding on someone's privacy. I started to walk away until I felt someone grab my wrist.

"Where are you going?" Taehyung asked.

"Oh, uh, I just thought I should leave you two alone." I answered, my head lowered. "It seems like you have an important issue to discuss and I don't want to be a bother."

"I'm not letting you out of my sight." Taehyung said, holding my hand again. "You're staying right next to me."

A smile tugged on my lips and he returned the same smile. Hoseok punched Taehyung lightly while pouting.

"Hobie wants attention." He whined. "Can TaeTae help Hobie with his booboo's?"

I clicked my tongue in annoyance. Seriously, how old is this guy? Can't he do it himself? Why does Taehyung have to do it for him?

"Can you wait until later? I have to take care of something." Taehyung answered.

"Fine, but I'm coming with." Hoseok crossed his arms.

Taehyung rolled his eyes but didn't mind the extra company, unlike me. This guy is definitely getting on my nerves. Whether Taehyung sees it or not, I think Hoseok has feelings for him.

And I'm a threat.

We arrived at a security locked door with a number keypad lock. He stared at it blankly before pulling out his phone.

"You don't know the password?" I furrowed my brows.

"It's hard! Okay?" He retorted, sending a text to his brother. Seconds later, he got a reply.

"4864" He mumbled as he pressed the numbers on the keypad. It beeped and a green light flashed, signaling us to open the door. "Aish! My brother and his stupid hard passwords. How is anyone able to remember it?"

"I love you."

Taehyung and Hoseok both looked at me shocked. "W-What?"

"사랑해요 (saranghaeyo). 4864. They mean I love you." I answered.

"How?"

"사 (sa) has 4 strokes. 랑 (rang) has 8 strokes. 해 (hae) has 6 and 요 (yo) has 4." I explained. "4864, I love you."

[ a/n: when you write it, it's the number of strokes you make when writing each character for 사랑해요 ]

Taehyung stared at me bewildered before scoffing. "Nerd."

"Stupid." I muttered back.

"I think you just wanted to say I love you to Taehyung," Hoseok accused.

"No!" I defended.

"Good," Hoseok smirked and wrapped his arm around Taehyung's shoulders. "Because Taehyung is mine."

"Quit playing around Jhope." Taehyung shrugged of the other's arm. "You got first."

I secretly smiled to myself as Hoseok stomped his way up the stairs.

"Sorry about him," Taehyung apologized. "He's not usually like this."

"No, it's okay." I shook my head.

Taehyung sighed and we walked up the stairs together, him leading the way. Once we reached the top, we released our intertwined hands so he can fetch the fish.

"You can sit on the chair over there." Taehyung said as he carried two buckets with him.

"Can I help?"

"You want to help? Seriously?" He asked.

"Well, yeah. Why? Is it too much to ask?"

"No, it's just that no one usually helps me." He rested the buckets at the ended of the tank.

"Not true!" Hoseok retorted. "I always help you!"

"That's different. You work here." Taehyung chuckled.

I smiled and walked my way over to him. "Well I'm helping."

Taehyung nodded and stood beside me. He handed me a fish which made me gag, due to the smell.

"Don't worry, you'll get use to it." He smiled.

He showed me which dolphin to throw it to and how to make sure each one gets a balanced amount of fish.

"There. We're done." Hoseok linked arms with Taehyung. "Now can you take care of me?"

"Alright, alright, alright." Taehyung obliged. "Kookie, you can wash your hands at the sink over there. I'll be back after taking care of Hobie."

I nodded and watched as Hoseok pulled Taehyung away. I giggled and washed my hand in the sink.

He called me Kookie.

Taehyung's POV

I walked Jhope with me to the staff room and grabbed the first aid kit. He sat on the chair with pouting lips.

"Yah! Why are you sulking?" I groaned as I took a seat in front of him.

"You like shark bait." He mumbled.

I laughed and opened one of the bandaids. "It seems that way, huh?"

"How can you laugh, V?! Do you actually like that guy?"

"I'm playing with him, Hobie." I answered, attaching a bandaid to the cut on his nose.

"You're what?"

"I'm getting my revenge," I answered simply as I cleaned off the blood from Jhope's hands and attached a band aid.

"You mean, you're just toying with his heart?" Hoseok questioned.

I nodded. "I'm just doing what I'm best at. Breaking people's hearts."

"You fucking smart ass." Hoseok laughed in glee. "I underestimated you."

"By the time he starts school, he won't know what hit him." I grinned.
