Chapter 15
"You two know each other?" Jungkook questioned, shifting in his sit from the uncomfortable atmosphere.
"Please tell me this asshole isn't your boyfriend, Kookie." Chanyeol growled, eyes locked on the oranged hair male across the table.
"Asshole? That's a lot of trash talking for someone who punched Hoseok in the stomach." Taehyung retaliated.
"You did what?" Jungkook gasped.
"I wouldn't have to if you guys just left me alone." Chanyeol argued. "If I remembered correctly, you're the school's play boy. Are you going to do that to my Kookie too?"
"Your Kookie? If you haven't noticed, he's dating me."
"Can you guys just please tell me what's going on?" Jungkook shouted, halting the argument.
Chanyeol sighed, grabbing the younger's hand. "We're leaving. Now."
"No! I'm not going anywhere until someone explains!" The younger male yanked his wrist away from Chanyeol, who had already led him out of the booth.
Taehyung stood beside Jungkook with a deathly glare directing towards Chanyeol. The older male scoffed in annoyance. "You want to know what happened? Your boyfriend here is and will always be a bully, asshole, jerk, whatever you want to call him. He's never going to change."
"That's not true hyung!" Jungkook defended. "I'm not sure what happened, but he changed!"
"I'll have to see for myself. I'm moving here."
"You're what?" The two replied in unison.
Chanyeol smirked. "I talked to my aunty. She agreed that I could live with her and helped me transfer schools. We'll be seeing each other a lot now."
Jungkook gave a small smile as he hugged his friend. "I'm happy for you. Why haven't you told me?"
"I wanted it to be a surprise," the older shrugged. "I guess we have a lot of explaining to do. Are you busy tomorrow? It's Christmas."
"Sorry hyung, but I'm spending Christmas with Taehyung." The younger frowned. Taehyung chuckled, swinging an arm around the other's shoulder.
"You heard him. He's spending it with me. His boyfriend."
"Quit it, will you?" Jungkook hushed, a tint of pink blush appearing on his cheeks. Chanyeol grunted, noticing the affection.
"Well it's winter break. I'm sure we have a lot of time to catch up."
"That reminds me," Jungkook furrowed his brows. "How did you know I was here again?"
Chanyeol smiled mockingly at Taehyung, tilting his head to the side in a teasing manner. "You should ask your friends. It seems they've forgotten who I am."
Taehyung stood unwary, but he questioned inwardly what the older meant by those words. As Chanyeol turned on his heels towards the door, he stopped, giving the two a parting wave.
"I'll see you later." He bid goodbye. "And V, you might want to have a chat with Hoseok. It seems like you two also have a lot to discuss."
And with that, he exited the pizza parlor. Jungkook frowned, looking over at his boyfriend. "He didn't even eat."
"You're worrying about that right now?" Taehyung couldn't help but laugh. Jungkook smiled sheepishly, dragging his boyfriend back to the booth.
"Can you blame me? I'm hungry! And he pulled me all the way here because he wanted to eat and now he's just leaving."
"Well at least we have the pizza. We don't need him." Taehyung snickered, stuffing his mouth with a slice.
"Hyung, how do you know him?" Jungkook questioned, arms crossed. "I want answers. Now."
"Fine," Taehyung sighed, moving to the other side of the booth so he can sit beside his boyfriend. He reached for Jungkook's hand, which he held gently. "You believe me when I say that I'm going to be better, right?"
Jungkook hummed in response, resting his head on the older's shoulder. Taehyung smiled, resting his head on Jungkook's.
"Well, before I met you, I was a bad person." Taehyung began. "I was mean to everyone, I didn't care about who I hurt, I didn't care for others, and I did a lot of careless things."
"So like every new kid, when they came to the school, I would bully them. Many were as annoying as the first. Either they're weak and need to be taught who runs the school, or they try to fight back and prove they're better." He continued. "In the end, they drop out of school and go back to where ever they came from."
"You're evil, you know that?" Jungkook muttered.
"Yeah, but looks who's dating me now." Taehyung snickered, earning a nudge.
"Whatever. I was a new kid too! I never ran away!"
"I know, you punk." Taehyung laughed as he ruffled the younger's hair. "I can't seem to get rid of you, can I?"
"You want me to leave? I'm sure I can catch up to Chanyeol hyung if I'm fast enough," Jungkook joked as he tried to climb across the booth, only to be held by the older and placed onto his lap.
"Yah! Why would you chase him? You're mine!" Taehyung argued with a pout. "Don't look at anyone else. Your eyes are only for me."
Jungkook giggled, his smile slightly crooked at the older's jealousy. "Why? I can't even glance at someone?"
"No," Taehyung muttered, pecking the younger's lips. "You can only look at me."
Jungkook laughed as he cupped his boyfriend's face. "And you are attractive, therefore I will look only at you."
Taehyung smiled, kissing his boyfriend passionately, disregarding the fact that they're in a restaurant. Jungkook finally pulled away from the kiss, and plopped back down onto the seat.
"Aigoo, so embarrassing." He giggled, ignoring the strange stares from the booth next to them.
"Yah!" Taehyung shouted across to the other table. "I know he's cute, but he's mine, so stop staring."
"Hyung!" Jungkook scolded, bowing politely at the strangers as he apologized. "You're such an idiot." He giggled.
"And you're the idiot dating me," Taehyung snickered.
"I know," Jungkook mumbled. "Anyways, continue your story. Where does Chanyeol come in?"
Taehyung clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Just when I thought you forgot," He chuckled. "Well, Chanyeol was one of those new kids who couldn't stop talking and kept making noise everywhere he went."
Jungkook cackled. "Yeah, sounds like him."
"Well, I had to introduce myself of course and let him know the rules of the school"
"Which are?" Jungkook questioned.
"You move when I say so, you do as I say, you don't get in my way, and you mind your own business, and a whole bunch of other things... its not important right now!" Taehyung grunted. "The point is, he didn't listen."
"Well of course not! I wouldn't have!"
"Yah! Jungkook, whose side are you on?" Taehyung growled as Jungkook laughed at his boyfriend's reaction.
"Okay, okay. Sorry. Continue."
"Well, we were in class and he was sitting in my seat. The other students warned him, but he didn't move. Then when I came in, I pushed him off and may have kicked him." Taehyung explained. "Then that brat told on me. Like, how old is he to tell on the teacher?"
"After that, I was sent to the principal's office and they told me they were tired of my attitude and called my dad. When they found out I fought with another student that defended Chanyeol, my dad threatened that I will be fired from my job if I didn't stop."
Jungkook nodded his head, urging him to continue.
"I care for my dolphin Blue too much, so I sent my friends to do the dirty work for me."
"Wow. Way to take the high road hyung," the younger shook his head in disappointment.
"What? All they said was that I had to stop. They didn't say anything else about my friends," Taehyung grinned. "Anyways, Hoseok went to confront Chanyeol and tell him to cut it out, but your friend punched him in the stomach."
"Yoongi and Jimin then beat him up pretty badly. The next day, he tried to fight Namjoon, and Namjoon may have broken a few bones in Chanyeol, but I warned him about that hyung." Taehyung laughed at the memory.
"Jin even tried to bake him get well cookies, and when he refused, Jin nearly shoved it down his throat. Good thing Hoseok held him back." Taehyung watched as Jungkook stared down quietly. "Long story short, your friend deserved it. After he left, our school has been back to normal."
"I just don't get it. It doesn't sound like him." Jungkook frowned. "There must has been something else."
Taehyung shrugged. "He said I remind him of someone he knows that broke his heart. It's not my fault that person dumped his sorry ass."
"That's not funny." The younger scolded. "He told me about that! He said that guy was supposed to meet him at midnight at Namsan Tower for new years and the guy never showed. It was the one year anniversary, did you know that?"
The older sighed. "I didn't, but it's not my problem."
"What about me?" Jungkook questioned. "Why didn't you do all those things to me?"
"Honestly Kookie, when I first met you, I didn't know you were going to be this important to me," Taehyung confessed. "Since you've walked into my life, now I see why it didn't work out with anyone else. Your smile is literally the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life."
"You're just saying that," Jungkook mumbled as he covered his blushing face. "You called me annoying the first day we met."
Taehyung chuckled, removing the younger's hands from his face. "You're not wrong. You annoy me more than I ever thought possible-"
"Yah!" Jungkook shouted with a pout.
"-But I want to spend every irritating minute with you." Taehyung finished. "You reminded me what butterflies feel like. You're that person who enters your life out of nowhere, and suddenly means the world to you."
The younger smiled shyly, puckering his lips. "Shut up and kiss me."
Taehyung chuckled, kissing the younger male once more. They later finished their meal and returned to their jobs.
Taehyung of course couldn't stay away from the younger for too long and frequently disrupted the other as he worked with the new dolphin.
Jungkook would be feeding it and then the older would sneak around the tank and wrap his arms around the younger's waist.
"Hyung! Stop distracting me!" He whined, giggling from the tickles when Taehyung nuzzled his nose into his neck. "Yah! Stop it!"
"I'm performing the last show. Come watch me?" Taehyung cooed. "It'll start in 10 minutes."
"Alright, now go get ready before I tell Baekhyun-hyung."
"Okay, okay!"
Jungkook later attended the show, watching proudly at his boyfriend as he did his dolphin show. The rest of the group joined him in the midst of the show, making it more roudy.
The younger laughed, watching how Taehyung winked at him every chance he got. Jin couldn't help but tease Jungkook, muttering awwws and cuuuutes.
At the end of the day, Taehyung drove him to the park where they ate McDonald's, by Taehyung's request. They watched the sun and he later drove Jungkook back home.
Standing on the porch, Taehyung greeted the younger's parents before being left alone with his boyfriend. "So, how was your fifth day of work? Do you like it?"
"I love it!" Jungkook exclaimed.
"Well, tomorrow the park is going to be closed for Christmas and only open to the staff and their family. I'll pick you up at 8am, okay?"
"Sounds good!" He chirped. "Can my parents join later? They're going on a Christmas breakfast date."
"That's fine. In fact, I'm taking you on our own Christmas breakfast."
"Where are we going? McDonalds?" Jungkook joked.
"I wish," Taehyung chuckled. "See you tomorrow Kookie."
The older kissed goodbye. Jungkook pulled back first, waving bye to his boyfriend who began walking back to his car. "See you tomorrow Taetae!"
"Hey Jungkook!" The older shouted back. Jungkook cackled as he saw his boyfriend form a heart over his head with his arms. "I love you!"
Jungkook mirrored the action, giggling at the embarrassment. "I love you too!"
"I love you three!" Jin interrupted from his window, copying the couple while making kissy faces.
"Aish! Go to sleep hyung!" Taehyung shouted.
"Sweet dreams love birds!" Jin waved as he returned to his bedroom.
Taehyung shook his head at Jungkook. "For Christmas, I'm getting him a bell collar, so I can hear him when he's near."
There's always that one story an author can't stand... this is mine. lol.
This chapter is overdue... I'm sorry. I had major writers block as well as college essays and applications. *sigh*
If you haven't heard, my new year's resolution is to keep up with my updates.
I will be uploading The Dolphin Trainer every Sunday (hawaii time).
If I finish a chapter earlier than planned, I will update earlier... but Sunday will always have an update. Good?
