Chapter 7

Leafy sat on the sofa, drinking a cup of tea Firey gave her. It tasted sweet, with a hint of lemon, although it was very faint. She smiled, finishing the last few drops.

Firey smiled, feeling proud. "I'm glad you like my blend!" He told her, scooting slightly closer. "It's the one I always use for my tea parties."

Leafy turned to look at him, an amused smile on her face. She sat her cup down on the table. "Tea parties?" She asked him. He nodded.

"You'd be surprised, I always host the best tea parties!" He boasted, causing her to giggle. "I'd love to attend one of your tea parties sometime." She said.

Firey's eyes lit up, practically glittering with joy. "Seriously?!" He asked her, and she nodded. "I'll be sure to make it the best tea party you'll ever see!"

He placed his hand on Leafy's, a look of determination on his face. She tried to stand up, only to be stopped by Firey. "You're still healing." He scolded.

She frowned slightly. "I think I'm fine." He picked her up. "You fell down the stairs." She sighed, her face flushing in frustration and embarrassment.

Leafy glanced to the side, as Firey carried her to the bedroom. He sat her on the bed, leaning her against the headboard. "You need to rest. I need to do something for a bit."

He hugged her gently. "I promise I won't be gone long." He exited the room, leaving Leafy in silence.

Taco trekked through the woods, following the marks on the ground. She was confused, wondering what could have made marks this big.

As she pushed through the bushes, she finally found the possible culprit. A large mansion sat in the middle of a clearing, the drag marks leading to it.

She stared at it in confusion. Was this the mansion Leafy was talking about? Taco cautiously walked towards it, staring at the marks on the ground.

The mansion couldn't have done this... could it? Taco stepped onto the porch of the mansion, gently knocking on the door. "Leafy...? You there?"

After a second the door opened, a shocked, but happy looking Leafy behind it. "Taco! You've made it!" Taco smiled, holding her hand.

"You ready to go?" She asked, as Leafy looked behind her. "Yeah! Where are we going?" She asked, slightly confused. Taco chuckled.

"I thought we could just hang out for a bit, somewhere around here?" She said, pulling Leafy outside. "Come on, let's go." She said, leading Leafy away from the house.

She smiled, and her face getting a little warm. Her heart started to beat rapidly, and she gripped Taco's hand slightly tighter. After a while of running, they stopped.

Taco turned to face Leafy, a smile on her face. "I was thinking we could hang out somewhere away from the others, that way you don't even have to see them."

They both sat down on a log, taking in the sounds of the forest. "It's peaceful, isn't it?" Taco asked, taking a deep breath. Leafy nodded.

Taco glanced at her for a second, then sat up straight, doing a double take. Leafy's body was slightly bruised. There were even bruises on her arms.

"What happened?" Taco asked, concerned. Leafy glanced to the side, wincing. "Ah...Nothing really-" She said, causing Taco to stare at her with a deadpan expression.

"That's a lie." She said. "What happened?" She asked again, her voice firm. Leafy flinched, then sighed. "Okay...I fell down the stairs..." She admit.

Taco stared at her in shock. "What the stand?!" She exclaimed, turning her body to face Leafy. "Are you okay?! Do you need any help?!"

Leafy shook her head. "N-No! I'm fine!" She said, waving her hands in defense. Taco stared at her, skepticism in her eyes. "I think you should still see a doctor..."

Leafy sighed, hugging her knees to her chest. "But..." Taco put a hand on her shoulder. "I know...I know...The others don't like you..." She said, glaring at the trees.

"What if I'm able to get a doctor to meet you in private?" She asked Leafy. Leafy stared at her, a curious look on her face. "Are there even any doctors around here?"

Taco glanced to the side. "Well, I mean, we have Four..." She said. "He can recover objects, although it takes months to do... healing should be faster..."

Leafy perked up. "Four?" She asked. Taco smiled. "Oh, he's the host of our game." She said, remembering the blue number. "He has powers, but they take a ton of energy to use."

She frowned slightly. "We still don't know a lot about him..." She admit, standing up. "It's getting kinda late, I should take you back home."

Taco grabbed Leafy's hand, leading her back to the mansion. Taco's face was a light red color, and she had never been more thankful for the dark.

So was Leafy, who was also blushing, although much more heavily. They walked for a long time, before they saw the mansion. Taco stopped, staring at the mansion in confusion.

"What's wrong?" Leafy asked. "That's odd..." Taco finally said. "I think the mansion moved back a couple of inches..." Leafy stared at her in confusion.

"I think it could be the dark playing tricks on your eyes..." She said, walking towards the mansion. Taco wanted to protest, but doubted herself for a second.

Maybe it was just her imagination...
