Chapter 2
Leafy peeked from behind the tree, staring out at the sleeping contestants. It seemed no one would notice her if she ran across the field. She smiled, preparing to run.
She wanted to go back to the house today. There was still much to explore! Quietly running across the field, no one heard her frantic, but excited footsteps.
Well, except for one object. Taco yawned, opening her eyes slightly. It was just in time to see a strange figure zooming across the field. She didn't cry out to them, she just watched.
While she was curious about who it could be, she could tell by their pace that they were busy, and so she closed her eyes again. There was always time to find out who they were later.
Leafy practically skipped through the woods, excited to explore more of the house. Stepping up to the door, she gently turned the knob, pushing the door open.
The entrance was still the same as the last time she entered, except slightly darker, due to it being the middle of the night. "Hm, I wonder if the lights still work..."
Leafy looked around, curiously flipping a switch. The lights flickered, but reminded off. A familiar creak rang through the air, and Leafy turned her head.
The door from yesterday had opened up again, almost beckoning Leafy inside. Leafy walked towards it, noticing a light shimmering inside. "Hello?" She called, stepping inside.
The room held a staircase, much smaller then the grand one by the entrance. It was quite narrow too, only big enough for one small object.
Curiously, she walked up the stairs, hearing each step creak every time she sat her foot down. The light started to get brighter, as she traveled up.
Finally, she found the source. A small oil powered lantern was hanging from a hook near the wall. She walked over to it, nearly tripping over something.
When she got to the lantern, she noticed something on the wall beside it. She picked up the lantern, using it to see what was attached to the wall.
It looked like a fuse box. Leafy opened it, looking through the switches. Finally, she found the one that would turn on the power to the whole house.
She flicked it, and the lights flickered on. Leafy smiled, turning her lantern off. "That should do it." She said, turning around. That was when she saw something disturbing.
Leafy gasped, nearly dropping the lantern in her hands. The room had been dark before, and now she wasn't so sure she should have turned on the lights.
Grayed out contestants littered the room.
They laid on the floor like ragdolls, or propped up against the walls. The discoloration made her shiver, as she cautiously stepped towards one.
Slowly, she inched her hand towards one, fearing the worst. Her hand gently tapped against the contestant, and she paused. Their body was soft...
Almost like a doll...
She reeled her hand back, curiously staring at the dolls. "Why...Why are there life size dolls of the contestants...?" She asked, feeling slightly on edge.
Leafy decided she didn't want to be in the room anymore, and walked towards the door, shivering. As she walked down the stairs, she decided she didn't want to be in the house anymore.
She exited the secret staircase room, walking over towards the exit. Placing a hand on the doorknob, she jiggled it. It didn't budge. Frantically, she turned it again.
The door was firmly locked. No matter how hard Leafy pushed or pulled, the door wouldn't even move. She started to hyperventilate, banging once on the door.
"D-Did someone lock me in?!" She asked out loud, hoping for an answer. When no one did, she turned away from the door, glancing to her sides.
"W-What do I do?!" She asked herself, her back pressing up against the door. She let out a shaky sigh, trying not to panic even more. "There has t-to be a reasonable explanation..."
She walked back into the parlor, sitting on the dusty couch. "T-The door is just p-probably stuck..." She told herself, lying down on the couch.
As Leafy started to calm down, she drifted off to sleep, not noticing the blanket suddenly covering her body.

(A/n): Second chapter done!
Now we get to the interesting part: the dolls!
What the heck are life size dolls of the contestants doing there?
And to clarify- The dolls are gray, and sometimes white as you'll see later-
That's what I meant by "grayed out."
And how did the door get stuck?
But I hope you enjoyed this chapter!
Thank you for reading!
