At Loki's House *
I woke up in a start, it tends to happens a lot. Twisted in a blue, quilted doona, I surveyed my surroundings, wooden structure, little furnishing like bed and wardrobe. A single window overlooked a beach, leaning me to believe that we were on a island of some sort. That was confirmed with the presence of salt in the air and the continuous sound of waves thrashing on the beach.
I tried the window, sealed.
The door?
Locked.
I tried teleporting, an ability that I was able to master in the confinement of my cell. Yet every time I tried, I bounced back, it was like I kept hitting a wall. A very big, thick and rather painful wall.
Deciding that escaping wasn't the best option as of now, I took an inventory of what I had at hand. I wore the same clothes that I did at SHIELD, soft jeans and the bright, prison shirt. I searched my pockets, Steve's compass and the bracelet were still on hand but not Tony's phone or even Nat's book.
The door was beginning to be unlocked, I heard the multiple clicks sound. I readied myself in a defensive stance, something I read from the Martial Arts book.
Thanks Tash.
"Don't try that with me," Loki said, setting down a wooden platter of food. On it were eggs on buttered bread and a glass of orange juice.
I'm hungry. Castor muttered.
You don't get hungry.
Clint had once taught me how to read a person's body language more advanced than the average person. Now Loki was interesting. He looked slightly tired, his eyes drooping and holding a tempered glaze. His normally slicked back hair was in a mess, strangely resembling a bird's nest cross mullet. It was significantly shorter. Had he finally gotten a haircut? Faint bags were visible under his green eyes. He looked thinner than I last saw him, if that was possible. He wore more casual clothes than his Asgardian attire. Simple black pants and a green v-neck shirt. Loki was barefoot.
"Then let me out," My voice was firm. Stubborn.
"Not yet, you are intriguing, I daresay. I would like to know you better,"
"Don't you have other... Kids to worry about?" My research flittered through my head, a daughter, a goddess of the underworld, a snake, a pup, twins, and a horse?
"I cannot reach them, once I escaped, they were placed under the highest protection in the nine realms. Not even Odin's guard is compared to the amount of security they were placed under. I could be up to the challenge, but we didn't exactly leave on good terms,"
"Oh,"
An awkward silence scuffled between us, I shuffled my toe across the wooden boards. Right now, I should be running, doing my best to escape. I didn't understand my sudden hesitation. Perhaps, I was intrigued?
DON'T BE INTRIGUED. Castor yelled frantically in the back of my head. RUN, FOREST RUN!
"You should eat, the last nourishment for your body was mortal cake,"
I wondered how he knew about that.
We have a type five stalker here guys, please do not approach or associate with him in any way. Castor said in my mind, imitating a police officer.
"I'm not hungry,"
Loki snorted, and with the tray, he left.
...
The next few days dragged on, with nothing besides Castor and Loki to keep me company. I constantly wondered about the other Avengers. Would they be looking for me? Would they have even noticed that I was gone? Maybe Loki had casted a spell upon them that made them forget me. Pl-ease. As if they could forget about me.
I wondered about what they were doing, Steve would be sitting. Strategically, thinking about his plan of attack. Clint and Natasha probably would've refused the mission, if I were worth it, Clint would be trying to calm himself, he was one of the few that had been fully exposed to Loki's dark side. Natasha would put her emotion into her training or spending time with Bruce working out algorithms. Thor could be back, searching the base for poptarts, I wonder if he had found any yet. I crossed my fingers that he wouldn't find the stash in my room. Tony would be fidgeting, making sarcastic remark and comments, but would be worrying like the others.
And Bruce. Bruce would be pacing back and forth. Sweeping the globe for an energy signal to match mine. He would be trying to control himself, but the hulk would be fighting. A lot.
But this was if they even cared for me. I think they would. We'd fought together, in Manhattan. We trusted one another well, almost to the point of being equal to a family. I hope they thought I was worth finding...
I decided to eat, mostly to keep my strength up. However whenever I saw Loki's victorious smirk, I'd feel as if I had lost the first in many, long battles.
You should try and contact the Avengers, Castor suggested.
I've already tried, the barriers that Loki has placed on the house stop the magic.
No like through your dreams, surely you would be able to do that somehow.
I thought for a moment, and looked outside to check the time. It was night, the pebbles and rocks upon the shore reflected the eerie moonlight, waves lapped at the shore like a lazy dog. The moon was poised just above the water. The faintest rippled glow of the magic barriers could be seen. It was night alright.
Maybe I could get a message through.
Just maybe.

Here.
I'll make sure not to listen ;)
Question of the day: I'm running out of questions to ask, so we are probably going to go onto mythology questions. Name all of Loki's children, what they are and their status I.e goddess of harmony.
HULK SMASH!
