The actors are called and the stage is set
Marconi enjoyed the play, the day out going without a hitch and feels life is settling on a great routine...its such a shame that a certain monster is conspiring against the family's quiet life
Notes at End
Marconi smiled fondly as he carried Ashes home, the play having been a massive success!...even if he had to wear a dress but everyone had at least behaved the entire night to his great relief.
He was the only one awake when they got home, Erebus having joined Ashes in his arms and flopped onto their back and began snoring within seconds that almost rivalled the thundering symphony of Quetz snores.
"I swear you were all made to make sure my life was never quiet. I'm shocked we weren't kicked out near the end..."
He quietly mumbled with an utterly fond smile, dropping the familiars at the end of his bed when he arrived home as Ashes was rather clingy and he didn't want to wake them up by trying to put them in their bed.
"Such a little trouble maker"
He said softly as he nuzzled the babybones who clung like a leech and refused to let go to even remove their dress, guessing one night sleeping in day clothes wouldn't hurt and simply removed their shoes before laying in bed. He snorted when he soon had Erebus and Quetz laying over him as well, gently petting the two who shamelessly stole his heat.
He lay thoughtfully in bed for a good few hours as his mind went to the tasks he had to do for work, the dirty dishes needing to be dealt with and clothes he planned to clean when he came back from the play...but even the thought of moving was inconceivable, instead clutching the three small bodies closer before joining them in their sleep.
Twin orbs of white apathetically watched the small family through the window, a flash going off before the figure was gone before anyone could notice them, the wards buzzing angrily even when the threat was long gone.
——
Chaos sneezed and frowned when the monster he was trying to talk to interrogate was scared off, grumbling before wondering if he was getting a cold.
Chaos of course forgot the simple fact he was a deity and couldn't get a normal cold, it truly a miracle he even managed to keep his balance somedays with a few deities taking bets when the entire thing would collapse.
He hummed when he felt a stir in the multiverse he left his other half in, feeling a change as the levels of chaos increased but paused before he could create a portal and check stalk to see what Marconi was doing.
"Right, i'm not supposed to do that. 'Space is important and healthy to maintain between monsters'"
He firmly repeated his therapist's unwilling listeners that he kidnapped words as he realised that perhaps his 'slightly' overbearing nature was the reason why his little chaos ran off in the first place. He didn't want a repeat of that and even though Order may not remember him he was still determined to be better. So with an inordinate amount of effort he went back to his search for Sun and left it be.
He could always look later to see if his more mortal family was fine but he was convinced he was getting closer to his goal!
Everything was fine now to distract himself by 'talking' to a few more monsters.

Marconi startled awake in the early morning for some reason the Order part of his mind feeling the urge to praise and equally scold his sibling but settled down as he smiled at the snoring child on his chest who he expected to wake up any second considering the time.
The day was as normal as any other although the wards were oddly active and assumed it was a glitch he would look at later but Ashes was a bit clingier considering today would be the day he was supposed to start working again. He planned to reduce his hours from before he took his vacation and had already looked for more DJ's to take over his slots on the radio now that his life included more than himself.
"Do you have to go?"
He hid a smile at the whining tone Ashes used, it cute how they were letting their most childish urges come through and didn't want to discourage it.
"It will only be a few hours. Who knows, you might actually like the Daycare. It has good reviews and you might even make friends"
"Doubtful, I'm too weird for other children..."
The smile slipped off his face and he paused in making their lunch box to see the frowning babybones. He couldn't have that and quickly scooped them up, nuzzling the tiny skull while gently preening their wings.
"You're not weird. Your Ashes. The most adorable babybones i know and my beloved child. It's only for a few hours and if you truly hate it you can call me and i'll be right there"
He had looked through several options for childcare as while Ashes would insist all they wanted they would be fine by themselves he doubted he would ever be comfortable allowing them to stay at home all alone. So much could go wrong let alone all the stories Ashes had told him of their past before abruptly stopping when they saw his expression.
He was unaware his fingers had ripped into the couch, these past adults lucky he could no longer reach across the universe and rip them to shreds.
He had vetoed a babysitter mainly due to not finding one that he felt could deal with Ashes energy but perhaps he would get some recommendations from the Daycare later.
"You'll be fine. A few hours and then i'll be there to pick you up and we can watch that animal documentary you want to"
Ashes gave a hesitant nod but trusted his mama, Erebus quiet support through the bond settling him further. He hadn't been to a Daycare ever but perhaps mama was right and it wouldn't be too bad. He never imagined he would get a family let alone a parent, so he would try it at least.

The AU was cold and desolate, long forgotten by most but Dream rather liked it due to its privacy, especially whenever he brought any new guests to show them the right path. Right now he was going through the notes his favourite puppet had made on his latest targets but he wasn't particularly pleased by what he read.
"And this is everything you got?"
"Yes, Drea-"
*SMACK*
"You don't call me that in private! Stupid doll. I knew i should have picked someone smarter but of course the idiot attached himself to you first"
Dream scowled in disgust as the monster fell to the ground, the pitiful information he got back from his doll useless and wondered if he should have sent more dolls to gather information. He didn't want to garner much attention though and all his other dolls were collecting information to make sure everything ran smoothly in his multiverse.
Perhaps it was time to start the process of making a new doll, maybe a substitute to act as himself while he dealt with things far more personally. It's not like Ink would notice and he had endeared himself to the Creator so much that anyone trying to question him would be dealt with by Ink.
Truly it was useful having an attack dog...even a stupid one that he had to indulge somedays. If only Creators were easier to control but his magic just didn't quite work when interacting with them but perhaps with some new power that would change.
He sighed at the effort he was forced to expend so much energy and effort to just to get what he rightly deserved.
Even the sheep of villagers had needed a bit of persuasion before looking at things his way. It was a shame his twin was too stupid to see his way but he was on his way to sorting that out. Especially if he gained this new power then he could finally squash the stupid rebellion trying to hide from him in his multiverse and spread his magic to further reaches. He was blessed with power and it was his solemn duty to do this after all.
Everyone could use some positivity in their life after all, it was his duty to provide that and he wouldnt fail his task~
Notes:
Marconi: *Used as a pillow, having a million things he has to do but never been happier as he falls asleep* Truly life couldn't be better
The multiverse at large: *Whistling innocently as a new threat comes over the horizon*
-
Chaos: *Sensing something is off in the multiverse Marconi is and visibly fighting himself* I should leave it. It will be fine. I shouldn't interfere
All the other Deities know what's about to happen: *Exasperated* This is a terrible time to learn boundaries!
-
*In a far off multiverse*
Dream: *Planning how to obtain a new power source* The plans are coming together rather nicely. Just a few more steps and it will be complete~
Fate: *Starting to sweat as things go off the least likely path she predicted* I really hope Chaos doesn't kill me for this
The other deities: *Already planning Fate's funeral*
