Two days later...

After the first interrogation is over. Sue immediately got the date and time for the next part of their interrogation the next day. Arranged by the higher-ups of the police department.

The following day, the group immediately settle in by mid-morning and start the interrogation process for Mandy Owen's case. Which is the second part of Lemi gevato double-murder case interrogation.

"Good morning sir. It is 10.a.m in the morning and today we will begin with the process of Mandy Owen's case. If you would need a break, please do inform us by raising your hand, as a silent gesture to pause the recorder for the break. So without further ado, let's move on with the interrogation. Shall we?" Sue asks at the end when she informs Lemi Gevato of the recording process.

With a nod of agreement from Lemi himself. They once again dive into the narrative of Mandy Owen's murdering.

~ Lemi Gevato - 2nd statement ~

The night after I murdered Sally, I went back to work the next day and resumed back my day-to-day routine. Act like nothing has happened to me the night before, and this crime that I have convicted has never taken place before...

Two weeks passed by and I had already forgot about that matter, until one day Mandy walked up to me during lunch time with this rather hard to tell expression on her face.

"Lemi Gevato, I think we need to talk." She said to me in a rather grim and low voice.

At that time I was basically having lunch with a few colleagues from my department and the fact they are all male colleagues. Which causes my colleagues to snicker some really inappropriate comments and say that I must have made her real mad at some party-night. That could probably happen during the weekends or on the Fridays.

"Quit that. I'll never cheat on Julie. She's my fiancée and why would I do that when I have a very pretty woman waiting for me at home." I snapped at them. Immediately brush off those comments being made.

"Fiancée... I see." Mandy said, in a very unpleased tone.

"May I ask, why do you want to talk to me all of a sudden. Aren't we both from different departments?" I ask her.

"Is about something non-work related.... And I guess you won't want anybody to know about it." She told me.

"Ok. Fine. So do you want to talk to me now?" I asked her again.

"Nope. Keep it for after work. I'm not too nasty to make you cut your lunch time short. Let's talk about it after work. Is honestly not work-related at all, no worries." She assured me.

Then left the table and rejoined her colleagues for lunch.

After a moment, I received a text from her on my phone. I open up and frown over it.

She texted me and said that if I don't want my dirty little secret to be exposed, then I better turn myself in. As she didn't want to be the one turning me in because that's not her business to bother about.

I frown for a while, then decide to brush it off. As I decide to focus back on my work and not to be too bothered about it at the moment.

After a few minutes she sent me another text again, telling me to meet her at a certain location after work, for our talk.

The rest of the day went by smoothly and fast. Soon we finished work and I met her up at the place where she texted me. Which is just outside a small eatery.

"Do you want anything to eat?" She asked me. As we sit down and begin to settle down on the table.

"Nope. Could we quickly get over this matter?" I told her. Getting slightly impatient and disturb about all the interruption.

"You won't be happy about it if I were to show you now. I'm not that real bad okay. You better eat first before we proceed. Is better to have a conversation with a full stomach." She said to me, getting up from her seat to order some food.

Without arguing with her anymore, we ordered some food and sat down once again to eat. While eating we talk more on work-base stuff and discuss quite alot about our current projects that we were assigned to do from our departments.

After sometime, we finish the food and leave the place. We discussed for a moment where to go next and we decided to go to a quiet area between a few blocks away from the buzzing place of the city.

The both of us reach a back alley of a certain block and I immediately bombard her with questions one after another.

"What is it that we need to talk about?"

"Why did you say I need to turn myself in? To who and where?"

"What dirty secret do you know about me?"

"And were you-" She immediately stopped me.

"Hold on, hold on. I have not even shown you what the heck we need to talk about. Why are you so worried?" She questioned me back. Giving me a calm expression.

"Then..."

"Wait." She commanded.

After a few taps on her phone she finally showed me what exactly she wanted to talk to me about. My eyes widen as I see what is displayed on the screen.

It shown a video taken on my process on murdering Sally O'Dillar at an open space I have found inside the woods to kill her there that night after she refused to share the child custody with me, and refused to named me as the child biological father.

The whole video was played from the time I bring her out of the car, to me murdering her and to putting her body at the back of my car and dump it at he Ridgemount town forest. It was captured on a car camera to a camera captured phone.

After the video ended. I turn to her with my eyes still wide from the unexpected shockness wondering how she found me there.

"How... look-look I-I I don't mean to kill h-her ok. It was j-ju-just that s-she- out of nowhere fight with me about the baby inside her stomach and we just quarreled about it. She refused to let me have half the child custody and wanted the child to be named and fathered after her current fiancé!" I burst out to her.

"But that does not give YOU the right to kill her! Or to say nicer MURDERED HER!... YOU KNOW FUCKING WELL SHE HAS TWO BABIES INSIDE HER WOMB AND YOU JUST INNOCENTLY TOOK THREE LIVES!" She shouted back at me.

"THE BABIES DIDN'T EVEN HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH BOTH OF YOUR FIGHTS! AND YOU JUST DESTROY IT BEFORE IT'S EVEN BORN TO THE WORLD!" She shouted back again.

"I can't do anything! If the police saw this video. My life and career will be over!" I reason to her.

"No excuses sir! You just committed a crime, for goddamn sake, and it's obviously a bloody sin to commit sir. Just over some stupid problem. Hell!" She threw back.

"So are you going to expose me and show the public this video that you took without me knowing?" I ask her.

"Obviously not to the public. But to the police obviously a yes! If you don't turn yourself in as soon as possible." She says.

"But Mandy-"

"You are a freaking damn grown adult. You know what is right and what is wrong. You have committed a crime, and. Is. Wrong. Terribly wrong." She emphasised it.

Again she gives her phone a few taps and looks back at me with a rather stern expression.

"I have sent you the video. Now it's up to you whether you want to turn yourself in or not. Your decision.Your choice. And your life. I have no means to interfere on it anymore. Bye." She said.

Then she turns on her heels and walks away.

After a moment I received a text from her again.

Through the text she said, even if I don't turn myself in one day my crime will still be discovered by the decision of God itself. Cos God will punish those that have committed sins in his land and therefore she will leave this matter to God for him to decide.

The following week, we didn't bring up that topic anymore, nor did we bump into each other at all. Thus as we are both working at different departments with different schedules, It's rare for us to bump into each other too.

However, through the days after meeting her. My mind is filled with worriedness and some bit of hatred towards her. I then decide to begin stalking her and get to know where she usually goes everyday...

After a few days I manage to get her schedule and start planning out my plan to get rid of her. So that nobody will know that I have killed Sally O'dillar and committed a crime.

The day came, as expected the sky was raining. And she is going to visit her aunt. Better than planned, I watched her come out of her house late that night, and is raining quite heavily. I watched her take a cab and followed the cab towards the said destination. To my surprise instead, she's actually heading to Ridgemount town forest first and from there she exits from the cab and goes inside the forest.

I continued to follow her, and saw her stop to look around for a moment before heading towards another direction. Then to my second surprise she is actually trying to find Sally's corpse that's why she came all the way here to the forest.

I watch her kneeled down beside the corpse and begin to speak to her best friend's dead corpse.

"Hey Sally I have come. I'm sorry that I couldn't save you at your last moment when you're to be murdered wrongly by that monster. Who we all treat as our friend and superior. We all thought that after all those years, he will finally let go of you and move forward.. But no. He didn't. Instead, he begins to stalk you and as soon as he knows about his baby being pregnant inside your womb. He wanted that baby and wanted to steal that little one away from you and Joshua."

"Please Sally. Could you please tell me, how do you want me to tell Joshua about your accussive death. How could I tell him that you were killed on the day that he is going to propose to you to be his wife and to have a future with you. To begin planning for your wedding with you and start a family together." She sobbingly said to her.

" Please tell me. What exactly happened that night. That could cause you to be with that monster at your last moment." She said while shaking the corpse.

She continued to sob for a while more beside the corpse, then collect back herself before speaking to it once again.

"Don't worry Sally, I will make sure that he won't get away from what he did and his crime will be punished according to the law. I will also make sure that you'll get justice for your death and let them know that Lemi Gevato is a real monster!

Since he didn't want to turn himself in. Tomorrow, after I get back from my aunt's place, I will go to Ridgemount town police station and turn him in myself. I will let the police know that this monster has committed a heinous crime towards three innocent lives that doesn't have to do with his life at ALL! And to also prevent further damages to other families and innocent lives of both females and children from this evil man!... No, he doesn't deserve to be called a man at all... He... He... HE SHOULD BE NAME AFTER THE DEVIL HIMSELF, THE MOST EVIL CREATURE IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD! " She said to the corpse with mix of anger, sadness, hatred and sourness in a broken but yet promising voice.

I stood there looking more shocked than ever and even more mad than ever towards her. All I know is that I. Can't. Let. ANYBODY know about my murderous crime, and I must get rid of her tonight.

Afterwards I hide back in my secret hiding place and watch her as she comes out of the forest drench with rain and is most likely looking for any cab available to go to her next destination.

Although she's holding an umbrella, but the rain just gets heavier through the night. After watching her for a moment, I slipped into my car and drove up to her as if I'm on my way to another place too.

"Who are you?" She asked me as my car stopped on her side.

"Lemi!" I replied to her as I rolled down my car window.

"Ok" She replied.

"Do you want me to give you a ride?" I asked her, although I already knew the answer already.

"Could you?" She asked me back.

"Yes! I'm on my way to somewhere too, but it is still early tho." I told her.

Where are you going?" I asked her again. Continue to act unsuspicious.

"My aunt's place." She said.

"Get in! The rain is getting heavier!' I told her.

Without hesitation, she quickly got into my car and thanked me as she dried her umbrella. I asked her for the location and she immediately gave me an address to that place.

While driving. Mandy begins to fall asleep, and soon she is fast asleep as I drive along the lane. I continue driving towards the direction of lake-west wood as she sleeps through the whole ride. Without her knowing at all.

We reach the woods, and I stop the car outside the woods and climb to the other side of the car to check on her. As soon as I saw her stirring up, I quickly clasp her airways to prevent her from breathing and make sure she is dozed off again before slowly pulling her out of the car.

I bring her to the same area the I have murdered Sally the night before, and drop her there before going back to my car and get the same tools needed.

I returned back with the tools and saw her stirring up again. Then I crawled on top of her and began to stop me from what I'm doing when she saw me raise the knife at her.

"Lemi Gevato what-" She opened her mouth to speak as I began to stab her. The same way I have killed her best friend the night before...

She struggled and her mouth fell open in pain of agony and shock as I stabbed her once.. Then twice, and continuously, as her body goes limp. I stopped. Same as the first time, I slash her a few times before making sure she's died already.

Then I carried her back to my car after I finished cleaning everything up.

Except this time I kept her at the back of the cottage yard for a few days, then dumb her at Ridgemount town forest once again at a different location. So that others that discovered her will not be suspicious of another corpse showing up at the same area again. Nor will they suspect two murderers are committed by the same killer. After the last corpse was found by the police through some forest-goers hiking around the area.

~ End of statement ~

'Beep-'

The recorder sounded soundly inside the quiet room as Lemi Gevato fell silent seconds later. Indicating that the interrogation recording has stopped and they are closing up this session soon.

Sue sighs as her shoulder slump, and she continues to give Lemi Gevato the grim look. She then stare at him for another few seconds before speaking up.

"Don't you ever have any remorse murdering those victims in cold blood?" She asked him.

"Why should I? They take it upon themselves. I don't even have a thought to murder the both of them in the first place." He replied back.

"But you originally had a chance to avoid it. Like how you can just not get out of the car and greet Sally that night and just drive off to meet your girlfriend instead. Then you didn't have to talk to Mandy about that matter after work the other night, and not end up stalking her and murdered her horribly." She reasoned with him.

"I have no choice but to end it." He replied in a firm tone.

"That's because you are a very selfish and heartless person." The chief said to him loud and clear.

"You basically know that the children inside her womb are not only yours, but there is another child that belongs to her current fiancée. Instead of thinking how she wants her children's future to be, and wanting the other party to be happy with their existence lover. You choose to want to make the other person's life miserable in order to gain what you want and have." The chief finishes.

"The reason why you stalk Sally for almost everyday after you found out she had a boyfriend also soon-to-be fiancée and is pregnant with your child, is because you can't let her go after all these years and hoping that she will one day return back to your embrace. Am I right?" Sue asks him, after she predict out his motive toward his love to Sally,

"However base on logical aspect, you don't even need to murder Mandy Owens just because she saw you murdered Sally and have evidence of you murdering her best friend. Instead, the moment you dump Sally's dead body at Ridgemount forest, where she is found. That place already become a secondary crime scene for not only the police to know, and the public too." The chief explained further.

"The forest that you have dumped those bodies in, is a greenery place that is open to the public during the day. Anybody that has gone near the lake will know that a dead body has been dumped there. And they will immediately call the police regarding of the bodies they have found near the dumping site." Sue ends the explanation.

"At the end of the day. Any reasons that you have given us on your motive towards your action, if it crosses the line of the law. It will be labelled as a crime and your punishment will be decided by the judge himself according to the law." The chief ended.

Finally they ended the interrogation and let Lemi Gevato sign his statement paper before they watch him lead away by two prison officers as he is to be put in jail until his trial at the court to decide on his punishment based on the crimes he has committed to those innocent lives that he had murdered in cold blood.

[CASE CLOSED]

Hi Everybody!!! We have finally come to an end of this double-murder story. Now the mystery is solved already and is the end of the story.

But...

This is not the end of this book.

Because there is still a small part of this story that is unexplained.

If any of you remember at one of the earlier chapters there is a part about the girl being sexually harassed by Sally O'Dillar fiancée in his early days of business, you might be wondering how is this connected to the murder case.

Well to be honest, this part is not really part of the murder case. But then since The team can't focus on both cases at the same time. This case is considered a cold case, and it is not solved until they got an unexpected evidence on it. That evidence actually made them pen up the case again and it will be solved surprisingly.

For the rest of the details I won't be revealed it here. You will need to read it on the next chapter onwards. This is going to be a real mini case and it will be very short.
