The next day - That afternoon ~

Sue and Eric arrive at the interrogation room and thank the officers guarding both inside and outside the room, before dismissing them for the time being. They sat down and immediately began the process starting off with the usual introduction and greeting.

"Good afternoon Miss Julie. My name is Sue Simon, I am the head investigator of Ridgemount police team and this is my fellow colleague Eric Wilston, assistant investigator." She said

"According to two of our fellow colleagues, you have sneaked into the house while we are conducting a search inside, while the yellow tape is placed outside as Do. Not. Enter. Then you tried to run away from the police when they asked you to surrender. May I ask why do you sneak into the house despite seeing the yellow tape? And why did you run away from the police officers when my fellow colleagues ask you to surrender?" Eric questions her as he finishes the short briefing about her previous action.

The lady in front of them, Lemi's girlfriend. Julie-Ann Fu-Young, a skilled artist whose works are greatly made by herself and she owns a Clay shop in the next town. Dress in all black as she looks at them with much guilt.

After a while she spoke up.

"I need to take something back. I left something important inside the house and forgot to take it before I left the house. '' She said. glurping down, rather nervous

"Did you leave this behind?" Sue asks while pushing two ziplock bags in front. One is two sets of keys and another one is a birth control pill.

Julie nodded as she stayed there. Sue got up, opened the ziplock bags then placed the keys and the packs of pills on her table.

"You need it. One is for you to secure your whichever place and whichever vehicle you own, another one is for your womanhood. Take it. We have tested the DNA on it. It only has your prints." She said to her calmly.

Julie slowly takes the items and puts them back in her pockets. Then they got back to the interrogation.

"I think this actually clears up why the door is unlocked when we were given permission to enter your house. Am I right?" She asked her again.

Once again Julie nodded and mumbled a 'yes'

"So... Are you good with sharing with us about your relationship with Lemi? Cos we don't want you too... I mean we..." John trails off as he turns to Sue for help.

"Ah... We don't... want to just invade your privacy... without any consent. So we want both sides to be comfortable and fully agree on this, then we will continue the topic." Sue helps him reason out his words.

"It's ok, It's ok. I'm good with it." She told them with a warm smile.

"Then... uhm... let's start." John said. With a nod of telling her to begin her talk.

"While... You'll already know that I have been dating Lemi Gevato for sometime and we are together now. We've been dating for quite some time... and there is once...I-I s-s-saw everything..." She told them. With her sentence fending to a softer tone.

"Pardon?" Eric asks.

"H-He killed t-that l-lady." She repeated.

"Eh? He what?" They ask her. Pausing for a moment to check if they heard her correctly

"I said I... s-saw him... uh... murdered a lady. T-t-t-that night." She told them, nervously.

The both of them look at her with surprises as they won't expect this to come. After a few seconds of trying to process what she just told them. Sue looks up and decides to confirm with her once again.

"You saw Lemi Gevato murdered a lady that night?" She asked her.

Julie nodded quickly, as in confirming her answer back.

"Then... Could you share with us your statement?" John asked her.

Julie gestured a yes to them, then she began telling them what she saw that very night.

Julie's statement -

Flashback...

That night, It was raining and the night was cold. Juliet called Lemi and he didn't pick up her call. She has meant to ask him where he is currently as they have decided to meet at their secret cottage that night. She brought some groceries so that they could have a good meal there. Or even stay a night there.

Julie got to say. Lemi isn't that bad. He is quite a good man, he will occasionally bring her out on dates and have a meal together. Despite her coming from another country, he is always very curious about her home country which he says countless times he wants to travel there with her...

Like any other usual night. They have planned to meet up as usual at one of the restaurants. However after checking through the weather forecast She suggested that they meet at the cottage separately then. Being a gentleman like he is, he actually wanted to pick her up from her venue and drive there together. however she told him that she is good with finding the way herself and told him to go there himself as she didn't want him to get caught in the rain.

Now Julie is alighted at a bus stop and walking through the drizzle, the rain has somewhat stopped and is on light showers now. As she walked through the side-walk, she regretted her decision...

Ten minutes later she reached the front door. Thank goodness they agree to another layer of cover so that when guests arrive they can clean themselves up before going in. When she reached, she saw his shoes at the doorstep and assumed he had arrived.

She knocks on the door as she finishes dealing with her umbrella.

"Lemi! I'm here!" She shouted.

"Lemi"

"Lemi"

"Lemi Gevato! Is Julie here!" She shouted for the fourth time

"Geez, what's with this man not opening the door?" She muttered to herself.

Then Julie decides to try to open the door and to her surprise it is open...

"Probably he is in the sh—" before she finishes mumbling her words a shout can be heard from somewhere else outside. She ignores it and continues her activity. 

She then entered the house but found nobody inside.

"Where could he be..." She ask herself again.

Her head then ticks as she remembers their fireplace is out of logs, then she decides to go collect a few logs in the woods.

'Or he probably he went out to collect some logs too....' she thought. Wonder if she will bump into him there.

(Ok guys here is the part which is connected to the prologue part, it will be explain clearer here on how that prologue happen)

Sometime later Julie is inside the dark wood. as she wanders around the woods looking for her boyfriend and some logs for the fireplace, she hears some strange sound...

Julie could hear the owl hooting away. The sky is getting darker.

However, the moon that night isn't shining in its brightest too. Due to the constant rain it eventually fades away.... Not helping Julie in any situation too...

So she walk,

And walk,

And walk.... until she froze.

Among the thick trees of the woods, two silhouettes were seen by the nature of the surroundings openly

but not seen by human eyes..... openly.

Julie then quickly hides behind a rather thick tree as she watches the scene unfold in front of her eyes... with her small flashlight guiding her...

She then heard a lady speaking.... more like begging. While the other person is towering over her.

"Please-Please-please- b-beg on your m-mercy.... please-" The lady whimpered. Laying down there helpless...

her response is only met with a howling laughter.... The all too familiar howling laughter Julie knows...

She then walks to a closer tree to get a clearer view of the whole scene... Her eyes widened as she saw who was actually above that lady. Entirely not mistaken or played, the guy on top of the lady is Lemi. None other than her boyfriend Lemi Gevato.

"AH HA HA HA! MERCY!...." Lemi's deep voice said, running the knife gently on the lady's face, chest and finally her abdomen. Julie could tell that the lady is pregnant based on her large belly under her flowery dress. Probably three months pregnant....

Suddenly he raised the knife and.... STAB!

"Let me-AHHH!" The lady screams as the sharp object enters her ribcage. Her hands and legs were tied. Her face shows a mix of fear and horror, as the lady watches herself dying.

Julie clasped her mouth tight in horror as she got the urge to vomit seeing the sight of those horrible blood infront of her.

"AH!" Comes another scream as Lemi stabs her once again...

"Ah!!!!!!"

"Ah!!!!!!"

"ah~"

"a....

Then the lady voice dead down as she is completely dead in front of him. Her mouth and eyes wildly open. Lemi then slush a few more cuts on her body. To make sure she is really dead... Afterwards he proceed to clear up the place and drag the lady away....

Julie clasps her mouth as she slowly sunk down against the tree trunk. Couldn't believe what she had just witnessed in front of her. She cried silently as she slowly realized the man she loves is not who he is....

End of Julie's statement - 

As Julie finishes her statement. She is already in a sobbing mess. With tissues surrounding the table, and taking more tissues out from the box as she cleans her tears. Sobbing non-stop.

After sometime she managed to calm down as Sue could not help but give her a sympathy pat on the back.

Then she spoke after a moment of silence

"Officers, is there anything else I could help you with?" She asked them, sobbingly.

Then there is a pause as they go through her statement. After a while Sue spoke up.

"Ok here is the thing Julie...ahm. We would like to know after you found out about his crime did he like ah... share with you his escape plan or something?" Sue asks her.

She nodded then began counting back her story.

"Y-Y-yes. He did. After I saw him in the woods that day, I got quite scared of him all of a sudden, and began to distance myself from him.... He begins to notice me being distant from him.... Then at first I brush him off with some excuses, but he won't buy it. S-so we quarreled and we never talk to each other for sometime."

She paused and glurp some water. Then continue.

"A few d-days later, H-He c-called me and... I confronted him... then he told me about his plan to eh.. Escape the country." She told them.

"Escape the country?!" Both of them exclaimed, making sure they heard her correctly.

Julie just nodded.

"How... What?" Completely speechless, Sue scratched her head as she tried to process the response Julie gave to them.

"Would you mind telling us about his plan?" She asked her politely again.

Julie replied back and proceeded to tell them about Lemi Gevato escape plan....
