Saraswati Parameshwari
Like the candle's flame unperturbed,
The flame golden,
Should Kalā but embolden,
Embolden its grace untamed,
And be graciously famed;
The grace of the graceful,
With the benediction of the merciful,
The compassionate Devi,
Saraswathi Parameshwari.

Like the flame of the candle ever-burning,
And the ever-spreading incense,
Spreading its alluring fragrance,
Shall Her devotees but spread Her light,
And enlighten the mortal minds.

O Saraswati,
The banisher of fears,
The listener of prayers,
Benedict us on this day so auspicious,
And bless us with Thy grace so conspicuous,
Give us the courage to disbelieve in the lies so fictitious,
And to confront the sooth so notorious.

O Saraswati,
The mother of saints,
Embolden our sight so faint,
Embolden and purify our soul with knowledge,
And help us keep the moral pledge,
The pledge to eradicate the society's darkness,
And to defunct its loathsome harness.

O Saraswati,
The owner of might,
Help us but to make Kalā our companion,
Throughout this moral path of pledge,
And to attain everlasting satisfaction,
Protection from this utter stupefaction,
Shower us but with knowledge and virtues,
To abolish these mere prejudices.
