I couldn't finish my conversation with Riri, because my phone switched off, I just hope she didn't get offended, thinking that I ignored whatever she sent.
My day was going horrible, I didn't get the chance to eat breakfast at the cafe outside my office. Why? Because I was cornered with a lot of papers to sign, and to make matters worst, I have to travel tonight to England for a charity event, for homeless families.
It's not like I don't like charities, I adore them. They remind me of my childhood, my life hasn't always been posh.
The Lorde company, is all about helping, we help people who can't afford better lives. Big people invest money in our company, and in return we find great deals, we partner with different companies from all over the world. We are able to give jobs to people that jobless, especially those who come from other countries looking for a better life.
I groaned in annoyance, I was very hungry. I decided to call Susan, to order me breakfast from downstairs. Or I might as well pass out.
"Sir? You called?" The ever flirty Susan asked, purring like a sly cat.
I rolled my eyes and handed her a 100 dollar note. "Get me a cinnamon doughnut and a cappuccino."
She batted her eyelashes, then smiled. "What should I do with the change?"
"Use it as a tip," she nodded and proceed to chewing her bubble gum.
I dismissed her and carried on with my work.
Just then, my mind drifted to the new project that I will be taking care of in Africa, I built two new houses for homeless families. I randomly picked Kaduna, in Nigeria, and Maputo, Mozambique.
My cousins had already visited the sites and they said that the number of families, especially children has increased. A smile crept up to my lips, imagining how euphoric they must be feeling.
How do I manage to educate them you might wonder? Being the CEO of the Lorde company, has a lot of perks. I was able to contact universities and schools to enroll my children, and in return of course I continue donate yearly to the schools, because I have been donating to schools, libraries and hospitals for the past twelve years.
My parents brought me in when I was sixteen and I'm now twenty eight, my life is a bit plain. I feel normal at my age, but my mother says I need a wife, she claims that she isn't getting any younger; therefore she needs grandchildren. The ones I take into the Lorde family, isn't enough.
