19- Dino
"I AM LEGEND! I AM ANCIENT! I AM THE GREAT AND POWERFUL DINO! FEAR ME PUNY HUMANS!! RAAAAWWWWWR!!"
I picked up the plastic t-rex from the floor and smashed it into my master's Gol D. Roger action figure with another roar.
The orange haired child sitting in front of me blanched and looked up in my general direction.
"Hey! You can't do that! That was limited edition!"
He snatched the toy dinosaur from me and pushed the Pirate King action figure to safety behind his back.
I looked down at the tiny human and licked my lips. He was practically bite sized to the grotesque form I had chosen to use.
"Why would you care?" I sneered down at the human. "You're the one who wants to be a Marine when you grow up."
The child pouted. "And you're just an imaginary friend that needs to learn not to break my stuff!"
I raised my clawed hands in an innocent way. "Hey, I was only having fun. No need to be rude about it. Sheesh."
After a few moments the boy sighed, then smiled up at nothing. "It's ok, Dino. I forgive you!"
I licked my blood stained and torn lips once more, running my tongue over razor sharp teeth.
'Maybe I could fry him with a little bit of salt or butter...'
"Drake?" A female voice called from outside of the boy's room, then a ginger haired woman poked her head in. "Who are you talking to?"
My child master grinned. "My friend Dino!"
I snorted. 'Pfft! Friend? How stupid is this kid?'
Drake's mother smiled and she looked around the room.
"Oh? And where is this Dino?"
"I'm right here, dumb bitch."
The child scowled in my direction (not being able to see me either), then looked back up at his mother. "You can't see him, cuz he's invisible."
Drake's mother laughed and began to turn away. "Well tell Dino that dinner is almost ready. You've gained quite the carnivorous appetite since you at that strange fruit, and little Marines need their energy! Even if they're imaginary."
With that, she left the room and I scowled.
"Imaginary, my ass." I growled as I followed my tiny master out of his bedroom.
----
I scowled at the memories of my first few months with my ginger haired master.
To this day I still wonder how he was, and still is, able to hear me.
"Oi, Drake." I growled to the now fully grown human.
The stoic man said nothing, not acknowledging my existence. I took that as a sign to continue, seeing how he hasn't really acknowledged me since he was a child.
"Drake."
I was ignored again.
With an annoyed scowl on my face, I took one clawed hand and shoved the ginger pirate down to the bubble spewing ground of the Shabondy Archipelago.
"Drake. Listen. To. Me."
He growled and glared in my general direction. "What do you want?" He hissed through clenched teeth as he stood and dusted off his skin tight pansy suit and hat.
"I'm bored. Do you remember that time when I gave you that scar on your chin?"
The human turned and continued walking. "The day I found out you weren't imaginary? How can I forget? You tried to eat me when I fell in the ocean."
I hummed a bit in satisfaction. That was a good memory... Also, he hadn't talked to me in ages and I was almost certain he had forgotten about me.
Apparently not.
"Yeah, well now I'm done reminiscing about the past." I huffed, lifting my scaly arms behind my head. "I wanna see more devils. Those other so called powerful humans are on this island, right? Take me to them. I wanna see of there's any devils I know."
X. Drake sighed and was about to say something else, when he stopped suddenly and turned to the left. In a flash he went running and I raised an eyebrow.
I hadn't been paying attention to what had been going on, but now that I listened I could hear the sounds of battle.
With a shrug, I flew after my master and towards the noise.
Breaking into a clearing, I noticed that my master had stopped a fight between a masked human and a large human with wings. The lage one had a devil with him, but I didn't know them, so I paid no attention to them.
There were two other devils in the clearing besides that one, one of which looked like a giant doll and was connected to a human with voodoo card things.
The other...
"Well, aren't you an... interesting looking fellow." A snide voice commented from my left.
I looked over to see a white haired devil in the form of a human male with white hair. He was connected to a human with a black and yellow hoodie and a spotted hat.
I grinned at the small thing, showing off all of my fangs. "The name's Dino."
The devil's lips curled down ever so slightly. "Ope." He introduced himself, then seemed to examine me.
"You're a legendary devil, aren't you?" He observed. I nodded. "Well, it's my first time meeting one. Tell me, do you know why it is that devils are chained to human masters? I'm sick and tired of my bastard of a human and what to know just why the hell I have to serve him."
I thought back and realized, with surprise, that I actually couldn't remember that far. I had been pretty young at the time, after all. But there was no way I would tell that to the little brat there.
Luckily, I didn't have to come up with a lie.
"Dino." Drake called over his shoulder, and I felt the chains of slavery tighten.
I grinned at Ope as he raised an eyebrow at my master calling my name. "Another time perhaps." I chuckled, then turned and followed my master.
{Dino- Dino-Dino no Mi: Dinosaur Dinosaur fruit. I made up all the name and stuff, also the part about little child Drake and how he got his scar, cuz that's not public knowlage!>_<}
