10: Date Night And A Surprise
We arrived at a very fancy looking restaurant. It looked like one of those that you normally see on TV, or in France. It was hard to describe, but it had a valet and everything. Lucifer gave his keys to the guy there and wrapped an arm around my waist as we walked in.
"Fancy," I said and smiled as I looked around, feeling very insecure of myself, "Why here?" I asked.
"Because, as it is your first date, I wanted it to be one of the best," he said and smirked.
"How'd you know it's my first date?" I asked and he just smirked, not answering. I rolled my eyes as we were seated. I quickly raised the menu, hiding my flustered face. Lucifer's hand appeared and pulled the menu down with a slight chuckle.
"Hiding isn't going to help, my dear," he grinned and I rolled my eyes.
"Shut up."

"You know the goat thing isn't true, right?"
"Really? Who'd of thought," I laughed, sipping on some wine. If Viv was here, she'd tell me to stop, but she's not. Lucifer eyed the glass as I set it down, "Something wrong?"
"No, nothing," he smiled and I smiled back, "except," he continued and I rolled my eyes, "that's your third glass."
"And?" I asked, not seeing anything wrong with it.
"We've only been here thirty minutes, maybe slow down a bit, or get water next time," he smiled.
"When did the devil start worrying about little old me?" I asked sarcastically and downed the rest of the wine before holding my hand up to call for a waiter.
"You're new to drinking. Face it, you're a lightweight. If you keep going at this pace then I'm going to have to carry you home."
"And what's wrong with that?" I asked as the waiter arrived, "More wine, please."
"Water," Lucifer interrupted and the waiter just nodded and took my glass.
"Luci," I dragged out in annoyance.
"No more drinking tonight. I want it to be a good night to remember, not one that you throw up, pass out, and don't remember in the morning."
"Fine, I won't drink anymore tonight," I said as the waiter brought back two glasses. One was filled with water and one had more wine, "with one exception," I grabbed the wine glass and put it to my lips quickly before Lucifer grabbed it and swapped it with the water.

*Time skip because I'm lazy*
Lucifer and I had a good night. Nothing major happened, of course. Even if something did happen, it's not like he sticks with one woman for long, so I'd never let that happen. Over all, it was a nice night.
We were now back at mine and Viv's house. It was time for me to leave, but I didn't want to.
"Thanks, Lucifer," I smiled and looked down slightly.
"Why are you thanking me?" he asked, his iconic smirk plastered on his face.
"I've never... I've never had this, you know? Where I can hang around a guy and feel comfortable," I whispered and looked up at him, smiling. He smiled back and I quickly stood on my tippy toes and kissed his cheek without hesitating. As soon as I did, I turned around and started walking to the house, smiling slightly.
It was dark inside, and when I flipped the light switch it didn't work. I let out a nervous laugh and pulled out my phone for some kind of light. I turned on the flashlight feature and started looking around.
"Viv?" I asked, looking for her. My heart was thumping in my chest as I looked for my friend. I walked to her room and shined the light around, freezing in place as the phone fell from my hands, shattering on the wood floors. A scream escaped my lips and I heard banging on the door in a matter of seconds. I ran to the door and threw it open as tears pooled in my eyes. Lucifer looked down at me as I shook my head. I quickly zapped out of my home and to an unknown street as vomit came up my throat.
Once I finished, I stood up straight and wiped my tears. I found myself leaning against the wall in an alleyway to hold myself up, eventually crippling to the ground as I sobbed softly. The image kept flashing in my mind. I couldn't bare the thought of it.
Viv was pinned up against a wall. A stake was through the palms of her hands and the ankles of her feet like some sick religious thing. Where her eyes had previously been, was now two black sockets. There was a stab wound in her chest, and no matter how much I tried to get the image out of my mind, I couldn't.
This day couldn't have ended worse.

After hours of huddlig in an alleyway, a red car slowly drove up and stopped.
"Angel?"
"Lucifer," I sniffled, trying to stand up and falling against the wall. He quickly got out of the car and came to my side.
"Careful," he said as he put his arm around my waist to hold me up. I flinched, but didn't stop him.
"I'm fine," I mumbled.
"No you're not," he said and lead me to his car, putting me in the passenger seat, "the police are at your house now."
"We have to go back," I said, looking to him as he got in the other side.
"No, I am taking you to LUX."
"Lucifer, we have to go back," I said again. He looked at me and shook his head, looking back to the road. I sighed and looked to my lap, wiping my eyes. The car ride was silent, apart from Lucifer turning on the music for a while. When we made it to LUX, I quickly got out of the car as he threw the keys at some guy. I didn't really look to see and just entered the club. It was mainly empty, with just a few people dancing together and making out. I quickly walked to the elevator and waited for Lucifer, who took a few minutes to flirt with a girl. I noticed Maze glare at me from the bar and just glared back at her. Lucifer quickly got to me and pressed the button to go up. I sighed and leaned against the wall, "You'll tell me if they find anything, right?" I asked quietly.
"What is there to find?" he asked and looked at me. I just shrugged.
"It looked like it was meant for me," I whispered, remembering how it looked extremely biblical, "Me or you."
"It wasn't just a random killing, that's for sure," he said and I heard the ding of the elevator as we reached our destination. As soon as the elevator doors opened, I stepped out and walked to the bar. I grabbed the first bottle I saw and took a swig, "Ah, ah, ah," Lucifer swiped the bottle from my hands and set it back down. I tried to reach for it again and he glared at me. I backed up and sighed, walking away. I walked to the piano and stared at it, "Can you play?"
I simply shook my head. He nodded and walked over to me. He pressed down on one key and it made a sound. "This is the b chord," he said and proceeded down the piano, pressing keys and telling me what they were. When he got all the way to the end he looked up at me and smiled. I slightly smiled back and went down the piano, pressing the keys and repeating what he'd said until I got to the end. I looked up to see Lucifer much closer and bit my lip gently.
A slight ringing interrupted the short silence and I looked down as my face heated up. He pulled out his phone and sighed, "Sorry, love. I have to take this," he said and walked to the elevator as he answered. I heard him said hello before the elevator doors shut. I sighed and sat down on the stool for the piano. I thought of a song I'd heard. I began to play some and looked around. Lucifer was gone and no one else was in the room, so I began to sing.
"He stumbled into faith and thought,
God this is all there is.
The pictures in his mind arose,
And began to breathe.
And all the gods in all the worlds
Began colliding on a backdrop of blue
Blue lips
Blue veins
He took a step but then felt tired.
He said, I'll rest a little while,
But when he tried to walk again,
He wasn't a child
And all the people hurried past,
Real fast and no one ever smiled
Blue lips
Blue veins
Blue, the color of the planet from far, far away
He stumbled into faith and thought,
God this is all there is.
The pictures in his mind arose
And began to breathe
And no one saw and no one heard.
They just followed lead
The pictures in his mind awoke
And began to breed
They started off beneath the knowledge tree.
Then they chopped it down to make white picket fences.
They marched along the railroad tracks,
And smiled real wide for the camera lenses
They made it past the enemy lines,
Just to become enslaved in the assembly lines
Blue lips
Blue veins
Blue, the color of the planet from far, far away
Blue lips
Blue veins
Blue, the color of the planet from far, far away
Blue, the most human color.
Blue, the most human color.
Blue, the most human color
Blue lips
Blue veins
Blue, the color of our planet from far, far away."

A/N This was a very long update compared to most. To be honest, I was going to make it longer, but I felt like that was a good place to leave it off for now. Sorry, this took so long, I'm just very busy recently.
The song is called Blue Lips by Regina Spektor, you should check it out.
I will try to get the next chapter up as soon as possible, but I am currently working on two new books as well.
QOTD: Did you like Viv?
Sorry I killed her off... No I'm not :)
Thanks for reading.
Hope you liked it.
Goodbye for now my lovelies!
