Chapter 3 :- The Lucky Charm...

Cassandra still had one hour left of her part time job. She was a waitress in a small cafe called 'Coffee Bean Love'.
The reason it was named so, is because all the cute couples come here for their dates. And here Cassandra was famous for one thing too :- being bullied. Whenever Cassandra got a job, that became Sam's frequent hotspot. The sole reason why Cassandra kept getting fired. This was one job which luckily Sam didn't know about nor was Cassandra planning to let her know. This was something which had to be sworn to secrecy. She was doing this job for the sake of her family and the college she dreamed of going to. Her family was nearly reaching the poverty line plus the admission to Richester High School, the school she was now studying in, was awarded to her through a scholarship.
Richester High School turned out to be one of the most reputed schools in the whole of England. So it was Luck which had brought her to it's doorstep.

Cassandra had served the last awaiting couple who were busy staring at each out with those lovey-dovey eyes. A tired sigh escaped her lips as she wiped her forehead by the back of her hand.
Did she have the energy to study? Obviously she did. There was nothing in the world that could stop Cassandra from studying hard that reserved a seat for her dream college through a full scholarship.

She was finally done and quickly left the shop, wearing the light brownish overcoat, covering her uniform which ran just above her knees, carrying a cup of hot coffee and a few cookies, the ones she got as a reward for her hard work. Thankfully it was excluding her tiny stipend.
On reaching home, she removed her coat, served coffee to her father who was resting his legs due to tiredness at the factory, gave the cookies to her mother who was busy in the kitchen, having no free in her hands as she spent her time as a seamstress and quickly rummaged into her closet. She found a thin band. A ring she had preserved with love and care but it's time has come to pass it on. She placed it in an adorable, tiny box and packed some cake with it. Kissed parents Good Bye, she set her way off to his house.

She could not afford to be late. Espacially for the sake of her studies. The only reason why she hadn't even changed her clothes. She was wearing a white blouse which now remained untucked, a high waisted skirt which ruffled at it's ends, a black belt with a large, shiny buckle, ankle length boots which clicked into a fast beat and her hair curled up her waist which now flew behind her, carrying the light breeze as she walked in hurry.

Soon she reaches. Not a minute late. The security allows her in. Seems like they were informed about her coming. Before she could even use the knocker, the door was opened by a butler who was neatly dressed in black and white.
"Miss Stone?" A nod with an anxious smile. "Please follow me." Cassandra followed the butler who took her up the stairs, giving her the amazing view of the majestic hall which was larger than her house itself. He led her into a room where Ashton patiently waited without his disguise and a smile. "Thank you, Smith for getting our sweet guest here." The butler just bowed and left the two alone in that room.

The room had only two colours:- Black and white. And maybe streaks of red and blue. "You have a very nice room." She quietly commented as she observed everything around her. She walked towards the table where he sat, admiring his room. "Thanks... Come... Let's get started, shall we?" He asks, giving his stunning smile. She sat down on the offered chair which had situated itself quite near him but it did give her enough space for concentration. Only thing was that she could smell the strong musk he had used. "Oh... Happy Birthday!" She remembers and hands him the slices of cake she had specially got for him and he accepts it gladly. "Ok, then we shall have a small snack before we start."
There were already plates and glasses and a huge jug which seemed to contain a fizzy orange liquid.  He puts a slice on each of the plates and offers one to her which she wanted to refuse but was forced to give in because he insisted. She ate slowly, showing her manners which were used to signify class in the previous ages while he took tiny bites, savouring as each bite burst into hot lava of melted chocolate with tiny stones of cold sprinkled oreo bisciuts in his mouth.
"Mmmm.... This cake is amazing! Where did you get this from?" He asked eagerly, proving the fact that he loved it.
"Actually... I made it... myself." She stutters shyly as cheeks redden by the second. Truthfully she was taught how to make these just today plus she has never recieved praises from any one but her parents and teachers. So this was quite unusual. For her atleast.
