Third Person POV

The three girls sneaked their way to the top deck and peaked over the railing of the staircase. They saw rows upon rows of boys and in the front is a couple of boys all wearing large brown hats.

Erika (whisper): What are they doing?

Chris: FIRST BATTALION!

A group of boys clicked their heels and stepped forwards.

Chris: YOU WILL BE WITH DRILL INSTRUCTOR RAMIREZ. SECOND BATTALION!

Another group of boys clicked their heels and stepped forwards.

Chris: YOU WILL BE WITH ME. THIRD BATTALION!

The final group of boys clicked their heels and stepped forwards.

Chris: YOU WILL BE WITH DRILL INSTRUCTOR JOHNSON! NOW GET INTO YOUR PLACES!

The boys then split up across the carrier's deck in their battalions and their drill instructors began giving them their exercises.

Chris: SECOND BATTALION DOUBLE TIME!

The boys with him began to run in place for a few seconds before they started to run. Chris is next to them and begins to sing cadence.

As they sung Yukari hummed along and the girls kept themselves hidden from their view. The boys continue to sing and run as the other boys did their exercise. The girls then sneaked onto the deck and ran to where Drill Instructor Johnson is.

With Drill Instructor Johnson.

Johnson: YOU WILL DO THIS OBSTACLE COURSE ONE SQUAD AT A TIME! THE SQUAD WHO CAN BEAT MY TIME WILL EARN A PRIZE! WATCH ME, THEN TRY YOUR BEST!

Johnson went to the starting line and nodded to Kenji who was stationed at the barb wire crawl.

Kenji: RANGE IS HOT!

The machine guns positioned at the barbed wire crawl began to test fire and with a quick nod of the head signaled that they where ready. With that Johnson began to run the course. He first climbed up a platform and  jumped to a rope quickly grabbing it and pulled himself up. He quickly began to shimmy himself across the rope to the opposite side. He then got off the rope and made his way to a log and balanced his way down before jumping over the end. He quickly made his way to the rope climb and shimmied up the rope to the platform above. He then took a rope that was suspended in the air and slid down like a rappel. He then ran to the barb wire crawl and laid down flat. As he crawls though the machine gunners let loose a hail of air soft bullets which pinged off the opposite sides plate. When Johnson got out of the barb wire he shot up and ran to the wall. With a mighty leap he slammed his hand on the wall and pulled himself up before getting the rest of his body up and jumping off into a running stance. He then finished with a quick sprint and made it to the finish line where Kenji was waiting with a stopwatch.

Kenji: Nine minutes and thirty second!

Johnson: Write that down.

Kenji: Alright.

Johnson: SQUAD ONE, YOUR FIRST!

The girls watched as the squads made their attempts in shock.

Orange Pekoe (whisper): You guys seeing this...

Miho: Yes.....this isn't good.

Yukari (whisper): Why? I don't see how this can help a tank.

Maho: They are always accompanied by infantry. If I remember correctly every tank is equipped with a rifles and pistols in case they are knocked out.

Erika (whisper): That doesn't explain where the last group is at.

Yukari (whisper): Found them...

Darjeeling: Good, where are they?

Yukari (whisper): What are they doing with M1 Garands?

The rest of the girls looked to where she is looking and their eyes widened.

Erika (whisper): It's a bayonet course.

With Drill Instructor Ramirez.

Ramirez: KEEP YOUR RIFLES UP ABOVE YOUR HEADS! 

Boys: YES SIR!

The boys where having their M-1 Garands with the bayonet on above their heads while they run in place. Meanwhile a group of Privates stab at dummy targets however a Private hit the dummy and the gun slipped from his grip. Ramirez saw this and turned to the Private.

Ramirez: YOU THERE!

The private stops, his eyes wide with fear as Ramirez made his way over.

Ramirez: YOUR ATTACKS ARE PITIFUL. IF I WANTED PEOPLE WHO STAB LIKE THAT I WOULD HAVE GONE TO THE AIRFORCE!

Some of the other privates began to snicker and Ramirez quickly turns towards them.

Ramirez: NO LAUGHING OR DO YOU WANT TO SCRUB THE ENTIRE DECK AFTER THIS?!

The boys quickly shut their mouths and continued their workout. Ramirez took the rifle and scooted the Private aside.

Ramirez: YOU STAB LIKE THIS! 

Ramirez yelled a battle cry and stabs the dummy with the rifle. The bayonet punctures the dummy and comes out the other side. Ramirez then kicked the dummy back and hit it with the butt of the rifle. He then turned to the Private again and handed him his rifle back.

Ramirez: LIKE THAT, NOW KEEP ON GOING. YOUR TEAMMATES ARMS ARE GETTING MIGHTY TIRED!

Private: YES SIR!

The Private turned to the dummy with renew vigor and stabbed it with all his might, puncturing the dummy.

Ramirez: GOOD JOB PRIVATE, NOW CONTINUE TO DO THAT UNTIL ITS SECOND NATURE! AFTER ALL, WHAT IS THE NATURE OF THE BAYONET MARINES?!

Boys: TO KILL! KILL! COLD BLOOD AND STEEL!

Ramirez: BEAUTIFUL! NOW KEEP GOING!

The girls watched in both awe and fear.

Erika(whisper): What now?

Yukari (whisper): I don't know...

Orange Pekoe (whisper): Commander, what should we do?

Miho: Continue to watch them.

Darjeeling: We can watch them still. The camera vest is really coming in handy.

The boys continued their workout, switching stations with each other until finally the sun has risen and the bugle call for breakfast is heard.

With Shinji, John, and Peter.

John: It's go time...

Peter: Right.

Shinji: Remember the plan.

The three boys drew their pistols and began to silently make their way to the unsuspecting girls.

With Yukari, Orange Pekoe, and Erika.

Yukari (whisper): We should go.

Erika (whisper): Agreed, but to whe-

Suddenly the sound of guns cocking behind them is heard and the girls began to straighten up.

Shinji: Get up. Hands in the air.

The girls slowly got up and raised their hands in the air.

John: Turn around.

The girls turned around slowly however when the girls looked at John her eyes goes wide.

Erika: Why do you look like Ora-

She was cutoff Peter sticking his pistol into her stomach and she quickly kept quiet.

Peter: Names, business, and family stationed.

Yukari: Yukari Akiyama, visiting, Reo Akiyama.

Erika: Erika Itsumi, visiting, Kenji Itsumi.

Orange Pekoe: Jennifer White, visiting, John White.

Shinji: Papers?

Yukari got into her pocket and took out their papers for the visit. Shinji took the papers and read though them.

Shinji: Papers are in order. Now how old are you?

The question both made the girls confused and uncomfortable.

Yukari: Sixteen.

Erika: Sixteen.

Orange Pekoe: Fifteen.

Shinji: Good.

Shinji then holsters his weapon and moved to the side showing three large white boxes. The other boys also holstered their weapons and took a more calm stance.

Shinji: We need some help moving these crates to the mess hall. You're old enough to handle the task so no pressure. Oh, John and Peter here can help you with directions.

The girls eyes widened when they realized that the person that the person they where looking at was supposed to be Orange Pekoe's "brother". Erika then notices something strange in Shinji's pocket.

Erika: what's that in your pocket?

Shinji looked at Erika with a conflicted face but then digs into his pocket and draws out something that shocked every girl who is watching the video.

(On the Iron Cross is the Nishizumi name)

Erika: Is that a....

Shinji: I don't know what it is. I just remember getting it from my mother.

John: Hey, doesn't Kenji have one similar?

The girls eyes grew even wider.

Peter: Yeah I think so...

Shinji then puts the medal back into his pocket and begins to turn around.

Shinji: We can ask him later. For now, get those crates down to the mess hall.

Shinji then left back into the ship as John and Peter began to move with the boxes.

John: Come on, lets move.

The three girls looked at each other then took one box each. The group made their way to the staircase where the boys helped the girls move their box. Suddenly the box jumped and Yukari shrieked.

Yukari: What is in the box?!

John: About a couple dozen depoisened Tarantulas.

Erika: What?!

Peter: What, that is breakfast. It's also training.

Orange Pekoe: Training for what?!

John: Survival.

The girls looked at the two boys who casually continued to lead them towards the mess hall. When they got to the mess hall they saw that all the boys where there. They also noticed that there where more boys now then earlier.

Erika: That's a lot of people.

John: LISTEN UP!

The entire horde of boys turned towards the group who is now slowly making their way to the center.

John: We have orders that each fire team gets one spider. You must kill it, cook it, then share it with your fire team. This includes officers.

Peter: Would you ladies put the crates lids on the ground?

The three girls slowly put the crates onto the ground then the sound of metal plates is heard and the girls looked back to see that the entire mess hall was now one large box.

Peter: We can't let them escape now can we?

Erika groans, Yukari began to turn pale, while Orange Pekoe starts shaking.

Tim: Hey, they look like civilians!

Paul: What happened? Never ever ate a spider before?!

Erika: No, have you!

Paul: Yes I did, and it tastes *smacks lips* delicious!

The girls where in shock but then Shinji comes up with a stick.

Shinji: Does everyone have their sticks?

Boys: Yes sir!

Shinji: Remember, in order to kill a large spider you must snap its spine with the stick. Watch out for its fangs and hair projectiles.

Boys: Yes sir!

Shinji: Good, let the test begin!

Erika, Yukari, and Orange Pekoe let their box covers down and what seems like hundreds of spiders bounced out. The hunt has begun.

The boys all enjoyed their catch, chatting and laughing as they eat their meals together. Meanwhile the girls all laid down after the adrenaline rush they had.

Yukari: *huph* h-h-how did they.....

Erika: No idea...

Orange Pekoe: Do I have a spider in my hair?

The three checked their hair but then Erika shrieked when she felt something moving under her hand. Suddenly the boys began to laugh hysterically and Kenji came up to her with a smile.

Erika: What the hell!

She felt the moving thing leave her and she turned around to see Kenji with a large smile on his face.

Kenji: I believe this is what you felt.

Kenji has a tarantula who is squirming around trying to get loose from his grip. Kenji then slams it to the ground and snapped its back with his stick.

Kenji: Someone wants extras?!

Boys: Oh yeah!

The boys then began to laugh together again while Kenji joined his friends. Erika meanwhile was as red as a rose with embarrassment.

Maho: Are you ok Erika?

Erika (whisper): Yeah, i'm fine.

Suddenly the "Friendly Bunch" got up and went to the girls. Yukari started to get nervous, Erika was still embarrassed over what happened earlier, and Orange Pekoe was still trying to recover from the spider hunt.

Shinji: We need to talk.

Then the boys slapped on handcuffs and hoisted the girls up.

Yukari: W-whats happening?

Chris: We know you're spies.

His answer was cold and he began to lead Erika out into the hallways of the ship. He was followed by Peter who is leading Orange Pekoe. Chris was the last of the three to leave dragging Yukari along as she tried to resist. The three where then led to separate cubicle rooms. Then the boys tied each one of them to a chair on one side of a table and left.

With the commanders.

Miho: Did they find out which school we came from?

Darjeeling: Highly unlikely.

Katyusha: Our girls would never get caught.

Mika: The wind thinks that some long lost families are being put back together.

Darjeeling: Excuse me?

Suddenly the door to Yukari opens and Reo and Peter came in both wearing hats. Peter pulled a chair and sat down across from Yukari while Reo leaned against the corner of the wall.

With Yukari, Peter, and Reo.

Peter: Now, I have a couple of questions for you. I want you to answer them with honesty.

Yukari: Or what?

Peter then takes out a shock baton and places it on the table. He then activates it for three seconds and the sound of electricity crackling fills the room.

Peter: Or we can do this the hard way.

Yukari's eyes widened and she could hear a faint gasp from the radio.

Peter: Now, which school did you come from? 

Yukari: Ooarai Academy.

Peter then activated the baton again and got closer to Yukari.

Peter: Stop lying.

Yukari: I'm not.

Peter slams his fist on table scaring both Yukari and the commanders.

Peter: Stop lying! I want clean answers! Which school did you come from?!

Yukari: I came from Ooarai! Seriously!

Peter: Bullshit that's not a school from the AMSB!

Yukari: I'm not in the AMSB!

Peter (sarcastically): Oh sure! Just like the United States is a country in Europe! Now answer the damn question!

Yukari: I am!

Reo then comes up and "calmed" Peter down. He then looks towards Yukari and let her hands go loose. Yukari placed her newly freed hand on the table and Peter puts the baton away.

Reo: *Sigh* Look, just answer the question and you can go home. It's just that easy, so please. Do me a favor and answer the question.

Yukari: I am answering your questions.

Reo: Alright, lets start small. Name.

Yukari: Yukari Akiyama.

Reo looks at her for a couple of seconds before getting out a necklace from the "evidence" bag.

Reo: Do you recognize this necklace?

Yukari's eyes widened and she began touch the necklace as tears began to form.

Yukari: Yes......its the necklace that belonged to my younger brother.

Reo: A brother? A brother that........also came from Japan? A brother that has been.....kidnapped?

Yukari's eyes widened and she began to shake.

Yukari: How do you know that?

With the girl commanders.

The school commander watched in shock as the interrogation goes on.

Miho: She has a brother?

Maho: It's kind of like us....

Katyusha: Nonna said something about having a brother before...

Kay: Naomi to...

Reo: A brother that has been kidnapped in a.....tank museum?

With Yukari, Peter, and Reo.

Yukari: Wha-how did you...

Reo: An incident in which you where saved by a tank rolling up scaring the kidnappers off?

Yukari was stunned into silence and continued to play with the necklace. Then Reo softly took her hands and held them.

Reo: We know where your brother is.

Yukari looks at Reo with both joy and shock.

Yukari: Really? Where?

Reo: We'll tell you if you can tell us where you are from. We need to make sure its safe.

Yukari: I'm telling you the truth. My name is Yukari Akiyama. I'm from Ooarai All Girls Academy in Ooarai Japan. I'm the loader for the Panzer four in the senshado team of Ooarai.

Reo: And?

Yukari:.......my mission was espionage.....

Yukari held her head down in shame. She had failed her mission and on top of that she had given up her mission for herself.

Yukari (whisper): I'm so sorry guys.....

Miho: It's ok.....

Reo: Thank you. We'll now tell you where your brother is.

Yukari slowly raised her head up and looked at Reo with tears began falling out of her eyes.

Reo: Your brother is a Lieutenant on this ship. His name is Reo Akiyama.

Yukari's eyes widened. Reo continues.

Reo: Your brother is in the commander of the 1st Platoon of the 1st Armored Company of the 1st Brigade.

Yukari began to keep track of what he is telling her as Reo pauses for a quick moment.

Reo: And your brother is in charge of interrogations.

Yukari nodded but then stopped. She looks up a Reo who took off his hat, revealing small tuffs of fluffy,brown hair.

Yukari: Reo.....

Reo: Hey big sis.

Yukari lunged at Reo and pulled him into a hug as she began to sob into his shoulder. Reo returns the hug and begins to softly cry into Yukari's arm. The two continue to hug as Peter got up and began to move on to the next interrogation.
