Shocking news.

"You now belong to me."

I couldn't say anything. My blood, before seeing him it has been hot and boiling, has now cooled down, it felt almost frozen.
So I just stared at him. Just like a mouse stares at a snake.
He didn't walk to me, he was too elegant, too rhytmicall.
It was more of a dance. A deadly, dangerous, yet seductive one you can never ever escape.

I wanted to sound big and dangerous, in fact, I've already forgotten about the dead woman behind me, as this... thing... walked towards me, my voice was a mere whisper.

"No, I fucking don't belong to you."

His eyes widened a bit and then he began to laugh. The sound of his laugh was just as irritating as his voice,
it was thick and heavy, like dark chocolate and had a seldom spice to it.
I found myself at the urge of bursting out in laughter as well, however I managed to stop myself beforehand.

So I just carefully watched him, how he stood in front of me, laughing while never letting go of my gaze.
And his eyes... they were cold. Cold and full of hatred. They didn't even have a colour... as they were pitch black. But I could nonetheless feel the anger, the hatred, the sadistic fun he seemed to have while watching me. And I could sense the pure evil, that he was.
He came closer and closer, and even though I wanted to turn and run away from him, I simply put couldn't. His whole appearance was mesmerizing.
So I stood there, shaking, staring at the weird, hot stranger, that has appeared out of nowhere, calling me his belonging and who - by the way - has seen me commit a murder.

Only one foot away from me he stopped, leaned his face down to mine, while his lips curled to that sadistic smile of his, still locking eyes with me. He was tall. I could smell his perfume - or rather just him - he smelled like a hot, steamy chocolate cupcake and like a cheesy pizza and like the woods after a rain. I loved the way he smelled.
It befuddled my senses.
"You're funny.", he purred and finally his eyes let go if mine and switched to the dead woman behind me before switching back to me in an instant. The short second allowed me to take a deep breath, it felt like my head was full of clouds and as if they started moving. However, as his eyes met mine again, the sense of freedom left. They sparkled in enjoyment.
"Are you that impressed of me, that you  forgot about the woman you just killed?", he laughed again.
Even though his presence was the equivalent of being high - I've never been high, but I suddenly felt that this must be the exact same feeling, just way more intense - I snapped out of it as he mentioned the dead woman. It was as if someone poured ice cold water over my head. I shuddered.

"Huh, no." I answered confused and looked back at the woman.
The man before me was still laughing. I took one step back from him. He stopped as he noticed and a wicked smirk formed on his face.
"Shush, oh my, are you by any means afraid of me?"
His eyecolour got even darker and the smile curled even more, making him look even madder.
I shivered. As I answered a sudden urge told me to not try lying to him. "Yes.", I whispered.
His eyes narrowed a tiny bit and the smile got even wider as he purred: "Good.", before leaning back, tilting his head slowly to the right side. His voice was like honey.

I needed to listen to it once again. Just once - as the thought shoot through my mind, I blinked confused.
What was happening to me?
Who was this stranger?
Why was I behaving like this?
I looked at him and then he was gone - the confusion and fear grew and grew within me, even further.
"You certainly did a poor job with this one."
I turned around, the stunning man kneeled next to the dead woman and watched her curiously. He reached out to her, touched her chin gently before turning her head upwards forcefully. I heard her bones shatter and I suddenly felt like puking. I wanted to turn away, but just as I tried to his eyes met mine and I could sense the danger I was in. I should not turn - I should watch, were what his eyes told me. I could almost here those words in my head. He stroke the wound of her head with his index finger. His white gloves got stained with her blood, he clicked with his tongue, seemingly displeased. And then - out of nowhere - he just let her head go, stood up, straightened his back and smiled at me again. The sound of the head banging on the ground made me flinch. "But it will do.", he added. I quickly glanced at his gloves - they were white again, as though he had never touched the blood of the dead woman.

What was her name again?

I felt cold, stone cold. The only words I could think of next, where the ones that left my mouth: "Who are you?"

"Me?", the deadly man asked, amused he lifted his right eyebrow. "You already know who I am, don't you?" I heavily breathed in and out. My heart was beating really fast and loud. I was certain he was able to hear it.

I think I'm having a panic attack.

The man watched me curiosly, his smile never reached his eyes.

"I'm the devil, James."
