"Why me?" Was the first question that spilled from my mouth as I was pushed into the room.
The Devil sighed. "Bethany, I chose you for this deal as the people in this world make selfish ones and you, well you want your brother back. That makes it so much easier for me."
"But I'm not really being selfless." I muttered, ignoring the fact that he knew my name and I hadn't even mentioned it. "How do you even know that I want that for the deal?"
"You are," he countered automatically, ignoring the question. I decided not to argue and instead listened to what he had to say.
"So, what do you say? Date me for as long as I deem you necessary, if I like your presence I will bring back your brother. If I don't, you die and either go to hell or heaven."
"Has this occurred before?" I asked curiously. The deal seemed fair enough, but I'd heard of the many rumours surroundings the Devil and these deals. Majority of the time they were either unfair or didn't work out, but he always kept his promises. Actually, majority of the rumours included him having two very large horns on the top of his head, red skin and sharp skin. None ever mentioned the fact that he could look like a normal very attractive teenage boy with giant wings at his back.
"Of course!" He spluttered. "You aren't that special. Many have died because of me, they were either way too clingy or kept pushing me away."
"Why do you need a girlfriend?" I queried.
"That's personal business, but since you have a possible chance of dying again on the first day. Well, I'll give you a little hint. I'm going to need a Queen for this place, I've been trying to get the right girl for more than one-hundred years."
I gasped, if all those other girls didn't make it, then how will I?
"Now," he began. "I know what you're thinking, why would an amazing guy like me, want a girl like you?"
"You don't even know me, at least I'm capable of making a fair deal, knowing you, you'll probably make up another thing that had slipped my mind." I seethed, offended.
"At least I don't kill my little brother," he retorted angrily.
"At least I don't kill majority of the population for my own selfish needs," I snapped.
"I'm the Devil, what would you expect? Normal human needs? News flash, I'm not human. My needs are different to yours, when you'd prefer to see something alive, I'd prefer to torture it until it dies just for my own personal amusement." The Devil replied darkly, smirking at my horrified expression.
"I can't do this," I sighed.
"Then I suppose your brother won't be resurrecting anytime soon," he said smugly.
I felt like I was forgetting something very important in this deal.
"Times ticking," he stated impatiently.
I mumbled incoherent words and made the final decision.
"You have yourself a deal."

The chapters are going to be longer after these, I promise. I'll probably update this book again soon, just not yet as I still have another one "Control" to complete. I hope you enjoyed. :)
Any thoughts/tips just give me a heads up in the comments.
