The battle between Amelia and Calli against Kronii was getting more intense the more it continued. Amelia is able to predict Kronii's power but is unable to match hers while Calli could match the power but not the speed. The two had to work together to understand how to fight her. 

Calli's next swing was close to hitting when Kronii disappeared in a blue blur and Amelia was able to predict where she will be and aimed her revolver to fire at that spot, which forced Kronii to block the shots. When Amelia had to reload, Kronii was about to move to attack but noticed Calli approaching from above about to strike. Kronii blocks the attack, creating a shockwave, disturbing the nature nearby. Amelia then appeared in a golden blur with a syringe in hand while the watch was in the other, Kronii knew what she was about to do so she disappeared further away to gain some distance. 

Kronii: "Resulting to an old tactic detective?"

Amelia was getting tired out but Calli was still fine, but still trying to recover from her other injuries she sustained earlier in the battle. 

Amelia: "Always best to have a backup right?"

Her smile was intoxicating for Kronii, but before she moved, Calli threw her scythe. Kronii dodged out of the way, but Calli then appeared by the scythe, grabbing it and kicking Kronii in the face, knocking her back a bit. It did sting, but it still wasn't as strong as she had experienced.

Amelia then took the opportunity to fire a few rounds, hitting her a few times. Kronii then rewinds the bullets out of herself and flings them back at Amelia. Amelia then uses her watch to dodge every bullet, though it was too close that a bullet or two scratched her. 

Calli then went on the offensive, but Kronii then just grabs the blade of the scythe, shocking Calli. Kronii's death glare alone scared the reaper.

Kronii: "Play time is over."

Kronii then landed a powerful blow to Calli's gut, sending her into a rock formation. As the dust cleared, Calli seemed to be too injured to move, she even coughed out a bit of blood. Calli thought to herself that this woman is a monster on a whole other level. Kronii then rewinded her injuries, making her seem like she took no damage at all. Amelia then realized she was out of ammo, again. 

Amelia: "Shit!"

Kronii: "This is playing out the way the previous encounter went detective."

Amelia knew that she was right, no matter what she did, she will never be as strong or fast as Kronii.

Kronii: "Last chance, hand over the watch and I will spare your life."

Amelia still clutched the watch, but close to her chest, closing her eyes thinking about the situation at hand. She needs to calm down and figure out a solution. She knows that with the watch, she can have similar abilities to the Warden, but it is not as effective, unless she makes it her own. She was trying to figure it out but no solution was coming to mind still. She opened her eyes, staring at the Warden.

Amelia: "You already know my answer Warden!"

Kronii: "I do."

Kronii then appears in front of her, going for a swing, but by reflex, Amelia uses the watch to block the attack. Kronii realizes this but couldn't stop her attack in time and connects. The watch breaks into pieces and cutting into Amelia's hand. But the destruction of the watch creates a shockwave, formed out of blue and golden energy, knocking them both back. Kronii gets sent back but lands on her knees but Amelia falls to the ground backwards full force. Amelia feels a sharp numbness throughout her body, her body covered in golden and blue electrical energy. Kronii was not expecting Amelia to use the watch to protect herself but it didn't matter to her anymore. The watch was destroyed and now her goal is changed, get rid of the distortion.

She then appears in the area again, noticing the electrical current around Amelia. Amelia couldn't speak, she was even fading in and out of consciousness.

Kronii: "You surprised me with that little stunt detective. But your body is now exposed to what we possess. Your body cannot handle the power, so killing you will be a merciful sentence detective."

She raises her blade, going in for the finishing blow. Amelia closes her eyes, believing that she was going to die, but when there was impact, she didn't feel the pain. She opened her eyes again, seeing Calli in front of her, using her scythe to block the dual blades, but the blades even sank into Calli a bit, greatly wounding her.

Amelia: "C-Calli......"

Her voice was soft and rough. Calli looked slightly back at Amelia, knowing that pain, she smiled to give her reassurance. She then looks at Kronii, with a serious expression.

Calli: "Don't worry Ame, I will take it from here."

She then forces Kronii back by knocking her blades back, giving her an opening to strike. Kronii dodges the attack and lands to the ground on her feet.

Kronii: "Out of the way immortal."

Calli: "No can do you damn clock."

Kronii: "You don't understand the stakes of this distortion."

Calli: "Why should I? You are trying to kill my friend, so I don't give a shit on your actions."

Kronii: "Very well then, if you won't move aside, then I shall by force."

They then charge at each other, Calli more determined than ever. Each blow they clash blades, each one creating shockwaves. Calli knew that if any of her strikes land again, she will be down again for a while, which forces her to change her tactics to gain the upper hand. Overtime, Kronii was slowly being pushed back, each attack Calli lands makes her feel like her physical pain isn't the problem, but her soul. She knew about reapers, but she was never damaged by one. But this was still no issue to her since she can rewind any type of injury she has suffered from.

What was annoying Kronii was that this reaper was still keeping up, as if she was learning from her movements alone to counter her. She knew that if this continued, she will eventually get tired, but she still has plenty left in the tank so she might be able to outlast the reaper. But then Calli resorted to something Kronii didn't expect. Calli's scythe gets coated in this pinkish energy which each time she swings it, energy slashes fly towards Kronii. Each slash left behind petals similar to that of sakura leaves. 

Kronii continued to dodge each strike but this was part of Calli's plan. Each time she did it, she can get close enough to attack. Calli kept revealing more of her power to try and keep up with the Warden. Kronii was slowly losing her composure.

Later when Calli was about to land a strike, Kronii released a shockwave knocking Calli back, forcing Calli to try and regain her composure. Within seconds, Kronii's body was then coated by a blue aura, though it was subtle and calm. Calli then charged again, but she was too slow to react for what was about to happen next. From Calli's view, before she could land a blow, Kronii disappeared behind her. But within a split second afterwards, her arms were chopped off, like a knife through butter. Blood spewing out of her, she then fell to the ground in enormous pain. 

Calli was confused on what happened, she didn't even see her attack her but yet she only felt the pain after the attack. Kronii's coated aura dissipates and she starts walking towards Calli.

Kronii: "You fail to understand immortal. I am beyond your comprehension. Time may have just been seen as a concept, but I am Time itself. Created with one purpose alone, ensuring the flow of time is remained stable. You may not die physically, but it doesn't mean you can't feel eternal pain."

Calli tries to crawl away slowly but Kronii managed to catch up to her, turning her around to let Calli see her face. Kronii's eyes were that of absolute, dominance and gives Calli a sense of that she is pure danger. Kronii then raises her one of her blades and stabs it into her chest. Calli coughs out blood immediately afterwards, feeling excruciating pain. She let out a guttural scream. The more Kronii moves her blade, the more Calli screamed in pain, until Kronii stopped.

Kronii: "Now you wait here immortal. Once I am done with the detective, you're next."

She leaves the blade in Calli and starts walking to where Amelia is. Calli tries to move but the blade seemed to have kept her in place. She knows that her arms are slowly regenerating back, she still felt helpless in the moment. Amelia was watching all of this, though her body still felt numb. She still didn't give up yet, to the point that she still managed to crawl to a rocky surface, which allowed her to stand up. Her back resting against it. 

Kronii was slowly approaching, preparing to finish Amelia off. Amelia closed her eyes, trying to calm her mind, as if her body is telling her to do so. Her bangs covered the top half of her face, preventing Kronii from seeing the emotion that Amelia was showing.

Kronii: "You may have had good intentions detective, but it means nothing compared to the laws of time. So consider this the end of the road."

She then charges her blade with blue energy, preparing to throw it at Amelia. Calli managed to regain her one arm, fearing for Amelia's death, she tried to pull the blade out of herself, but to no avail. The pain was too much and her one arm seemed to not be enough to pull it out.

For Amelia, everything seemed to have stopped. She felt like she was in her own mindscape. The energy that once encompassed her after the watch's destruction, formed around her again. She felt it course through her body, though it felt painful, she ignored it. Relaxing her mind, letting her body feel relaxed, allowing the flow of power to do its thing. She felt amazing, the power that was in the watch now courses through her. Somehow the power was transferred to her, but she doesn't know if this is the case or a miscalculation. 

Then Kronii threw the energy from her blade and it struck her Amelia stood, hitting the cliffside. 

Calli: "AMELIA!!!"

Calli screamed for Amelia, but once the dust cleared, Amelia was nowhere to be seen. Calli felt defeated, but Kronii knew something was off. She knew that the attack didn't connect, but as she looked everywhere with her eyes, she couldn't see any signs of her. So she closed her eyes, focusing on where she could be, but once she felt it, she opened her eyes to get a powerful kick to the face, sending her back a bit. Kronii's feat remained on the ground, making her grind against the rocky surface. Once she stabilized, she saw something she was confused but yet infuriated by. Not only was Amelia alive, but something about her was different. Calli felt relieved but yet confused, how was she alive is what she thought.

Kronii stared at Amelia, noticing the subtle golden glow, with the blue electrical current flowing around her, sparking off. But the most defining feature was her right eye. The eye instead of it being a blue, it was golden in colour and it resembled more of a clock, ticking by each second that passes. Kronii grits her teeth.

Kronii: "How... HOW DID YOU ACHIEVE THAT POWER!?"

Kronii finally snapped, though she hasn't felt this way in such a long time. She had a right to be mad, she caused this and this was seen as more as a mockery of her. 

Amelia: "How I achieved this doesn't matter. But what matters is the safety of my friends, and my partner."

Her body was relaxed, though she had a little smile on her face. It wasn't one of smug, but one of relaxation.
