"It'll just be like old times" Ash stated.

"Old times, what exactly do you mean by that?" Malcolm asked.

"Ash wasn't only a detective, he was also a spy" Andrew explained, "He did a lot of infiltration mission years ago, once when we were saving an ally who was taken hostage, he found plans for a robotic mech that can airmail nukes and destroyed it"

"He did all that?" Serena questioned.

"Andrew helped me out" Ash replied.

"How so?" Malcolm asked.

"You see, we were trying to find a way of creating two way communication between us that couldn't be hacked and was silent" Ash explained, "Andrew then came up with an idea and he made it happen"

"And this idea was?" Diantha started.

"I built these nanomachines and injected us both with them" Andrew exclaimed, "This allows us to communicate with each other silently by sending signals with our minds"

After hearing about Ash and Andrew being injected with very tiny machines into their bodies, the three of them started shuddering. They didn't realise that the two left to go get Ash's old spy equipment and went after them. There they went to set up a plan to take down Calem once and for all.

On the way to Calem's Base

Serena was on the transport van being taken nearby Calem's base with a bunch of cardboard boxes on a wagon. As she sat there in the van, she started thinking about when they were getting ready for this infiltration plan. Before they even started leaving, Serena had to do something. Something she wanted to do since she might not see Ash again.

Flashback

Ash was in his room getting his belongings ready, as he finished zipping up his tactical outfit and picked up a mechanical looking eyepatch, Serena walked in.

"Hey Ash, can I ask you something?" Serena requested.

"Sure, what is it?" Ash replied.

"Will you be able to make it alive after the infiltration?" Serena asked.

"I'm sorry to say this but, there is a chance that I might die" Ash answered.

"Well I have to tell you now" Serena exclaimed taking Ash by surprise. "Let me be honest with you, ever since you've been nice to me, I've started growing feelings and they've been growing stronger overtime. The more time went by, the more I found out that I was feeling something new. You've changed me Ash and I want to tell you this, I love you"

Ash stood there with his eyes widened after realising what she had said. Serena thought that she made a huge mistake and decided to leave to make things less awkward. Before she could do so, a hand wrapped around her arm and she turned to see Ash holding onto her.

"Serena, I also have feelings for you" Ash explained, "I always just thought I was sick but after I finally realised what it meant, I found out that you are the most important person to me and I don't want to lose you"

Serena couldn't help it, tears welled up in her eyes as the love of her life confessed his feelings for her. She grabbed Ash and pulled him into a passionate kiss, they were kissing for about a minute until Ash finally broke it. He smiled at her as he wiped her eyes with his thumbs. Ash gave one last hug before putting on the eyepatch and walking off with Serena.

Flashback End

Serena's thoughts were broken as the van stopped somewhat near the base that Calem was at. She got off and pulled the wagon of boxes towards the direction she was told to go. After walking for 5 minutes, Serena stopped at the base that she saw through Andrew's computer. The door opened to show a bunch of bodyguards there to greet her.

"Hello Miss Serena, it's good to have you back" One of them greeted.

"Thank you for the kind welcoming" Serena thanked as she started walking in but was stopped.

"What's with all these boxes?" One asked.

"Just my belongings that I owned after living away from everyone" Serena answered getting a pass. Little did they know, there was something they wouldn't expect in one of the boxes. More specifically, someone.

Later

After Serena left the boxes in the room he was given and went to get a tour of the base, Ash got out of one of the boxes. He left the room and started sneaking around to find where Calem could be. He found many doors that had labels like laboratory, barracks and pink room for some reason. Needing help, Ash activated his CODEC to contact Andrew. (All CODEC dialogue will be bold)

"Andrew, are you there?" Ash asked.

"Loud and clear" Andrew replied.

"I need help in locating Calem, can you find any leads?" Ash requested.

"I'm going through the schematics and I see multiple heat signatures coming your way and there is only one in a room on the third floor" Andrew explained.

"Thanks, piece of cake" Ash said getting out of the CODEC.

Ash heard footsteps coming from nearby and hid underneath a cardboard box. The three that were coming walked right past him and did not notice him. This gave Ash the chance to escape and went on searching Calem's heat signature with his Solid Eye. Just as he was making it towards a corner, a guard jumped out to his surprise and put him in a headlock. Ash managed to escape and ran off into a corner turn. When the guard walked towards the turn, he noticed a cardboard box moving away. He called for reinforcements and followed the box.

"Andrew, I've been caught" Ash exclaimed.

"Hm, it seems as though that more guards are coming as I am getting more heat signatures" Andrew stated, "I'll try and help you through in finding a way to get to Calem, but until then, I suggest you keep out of sight"

"I've already got it covered" Ash replied.

"Please tell me it's not a cardboard box" Andrew requested.

The guard walked into the men's bathroom and found a cardboard box on the floor stood still. He laughed at how stupidly placed the box was and pulled out a pistol from his holster. He pointed at the box and fired three rounds leaving three holes in it. When he kicked the box, he found no one in there. That's when Ash came from behind deactivating his OctoCamo revealing himself and putting the guard in a headlock. The two then had a close quarters fight until Ash got the upper hand and knocked him out. More guards came running into the bathroom only to find no one except for the unconscious guard.

In the ventilation system

Ash was crawling through the vent shafts after escaping the other guards. As he was moving around, he heard the alarms sound and there were loads of running and guards screaming. Ash decided to contact Andrew through the CODEC again.

"Andrew, they seem to have activated their security systems and are out on the look for me" Ash exclaimed.

"Don't worry, Calem is in a room nearby, you should be good to go if you stay in the OctoCamo until you make it to the room" Andrew explained.

"Got it, piece of cake" Ash said ending the call.

Ash got out of the air vents and activated his OctoCamo to hide himself from all the guards that were running about. He started making his way towards the third floor until he reached the location of Calem. As he walked into the room he saw Calem sat there on his desk looking like he was waiting for someone. Ash walked into the room only to step on something which triggered an EMP blast which disabled his OctoCamo.

"Detective Ash, I've been expecting you" Calem exclaimed.

"You have?" Ash questioned.

"Yes, I've noticed Serena was very strange today only to realise that one of her boxes had been found empty" Calem answered, "Since your camouflage suit is useless, that means you won't be able to stop me"

"Actually, I have reinforcements coming" Ash stated getting his gun ready. There were loud noises and explosions happening outside. "It seems they've came"

Calem looked at the camera feed and saw that the police had arrived. Tracer was taking down multiple guards, Genji was speeding through his opponents, Soldier 76 was shooting every single guard he could see and there were many more. This angered Calem so he quickly pulled out his gun and started firing towards Ash. Ash managed to dodge it and started firing back. The two kept sending a barrage of bullets until the two were close enough to knock each other's guns off and went into close quarters combat.

"I will defeat you Calem" Ash exclaimed.

"Not if I can do this" Calem replied.

Calem threw Ash to the ground as hard as he could and started legging it. Ash chased him until he turned into a corner to find a heavily secured door. Ash decided to contact Andrew to see if he can open the door for him.

"Andrew, there's a door blocking my way, do you think you can open it?" Ash requested.

"I can, but there's a problem" Andrew replied.

"What is it?" Ash asked.

"The door isn't that hard to open but Calem has activated some kind of weapon that generate microwaves" Andrew explained, "The worst part is, past the door is a hallway full of those generators and Calem is on the other side of the door at the end of the hallway"

"I'm going in there no matter what" Ash exclaimed.

"WHAT??? ARE YOU CRAZY? YOU'RE GOING TO GET YOURSELF KILLED" Andrew screamed.

"It's the only way I can stop him, if I don't do this, we won't be able to stop him" Ash told him.

"*sigh* I guess I have no choice then, good luck Detective" Andrew sighed.

"Thank you Doctor" Ash thanked.

Andrew opened the security door and Ash felt the heat radiating from the hallway inside. He took a deep breath and started trudging into the microwave corridor. He could only think of three things, stop Calem, doing this for Kalos and Serena motivating him. All he needed to do was power through this hallway.
