ANNOUNCER: It's time for The Destiny Talk Show! And now, your host! Trevor Hallett!

Trevor walks in with a toolbox. He sits at his desk and places the toolbox on the ground.

TREVOR: Hello everyone. Welcome to the Destiny Talk Show. My name is Trevor Hallett, your host, and worst mechanic ever. You see, the vending machine keeps breaking down, so I have to keep fixing it. I swear this vending machine is cursed. Anyway, we have a great show for you tonight. My guest is a leader of a story squad that published its first story together. Please welcome Emilia_Story_Squad!

Emilia enters the set, shakes hands with Trevor, then sits down.

TREVOR: Welcome to the show, Ms. Emilia.

EMILIA: Thank you for having me.

TREVOR: Alright first question! Is that your real name?

EMILIA: No, and I'd rather keep my real name a mystery.

TREVOR: Even though I know what it is, but fair enough. So I heard you are part of a writing squad.

EMILIA: Yes as a matter of fact I am. Part of them are on FB messenger and some are on the discord server we have a great team and team effort.

TREVOR: Teamwork makes the dream work, as they say, it down in Boot Camp.

EMILIA: I've never been to boot camp so I wouldn't know lol.

TREVOR: Good, because boot camp is not fun at all. It takes teamwork to survive down there.

EMILIA: So does trust and patience.

TREVOR: Especially those two. If you don't have the trust or patience, then just leave because by not having those two items, you will sink like the Titanic.

EMILIA: I trust my squad I'm very patient with them and I can tell that they are very passionate people.

TREVOR: And I heard that all of you have been working on a book today. I think we have it here.

EMILIA: Yes that's our first Pokémon fanfiction.

TREVOR: Ok. First question, what is the plot?

EMILIA:
'Emilia's Pokémon Journeys: Kanto! ' is just the beginning of our series.

It's about a 16-year-old girl from Johto ( Emilia ) who put her journey aside when she was 10 and now she's still very insecure but also hopes to be able to go through with her first-ever Pokémon journey!

She meets Dax an energetic, enthusiastic 11-year-old wannabe researcher with his Pokémon Squirtle!

Nim who's a knowledgeable researcher in training plus he invents new things and he's only 18!

Ikimono a 16 that's all the way from Kalos

TREVOR: That does seem interesting to read.

EMILIA: It's basically about a new trainer finding out who and what they can do without turning back it gives each character a chance in the spotlight but I really want it to focus on Trevor, Dax & a surprise character.

TREVOR: You mention that character, Trevor, which is my name. Now, I know I am part of the squad as well, so we had to work to make sure this Trevor was different than the Trevor in Destiny Rebirth. How did we accomplish that?

EMILIA: Well you already knew what you wanted your character's name to be but for him to be different from the destiny books we tweaked him a bit more. He still has his Charizard.

TREVOR: Gotta have that Charizard no matter what.

EMILIA: Indeed.

TREVOR: What were the other tweaks?

EMILIA: He's more reckless, he's serious about battles, & can lose his temper.

TREVOR: That last part is something the Trevor in Destiny Rebirth did not have. But yeah, I gave her my blessing.

EMILIA: Of course you did. I mean, who wouldn't?

TREVOR: I can't imagine. But you also added Angela, who is also in Destiny Rebirth, but her backstory is completely different.

EMILIA: You mentioned her in the discord chat that she's Trevor's love interest so I came up with her battling against him in the Hoenn region ( battle frontier) and she wins.

TREVOR: Yes, she does....so the main character, Emilia, is she basically you or you with some tweaks

EMILIA: She's me with some minor tweaks when I was a teenager lol. Just because the books are having her name on the covers doesn't really make her the main focus of the story.

TREVOR: Wait a minute. What do you mean Emilia is not the main focus?

EMILIA: Different regions focus on different characters and yes Emilia is going to be in some chapters but just because she's there that doesn't necessarily make her the main focus of the entire series. Dax, Trevor & a surprise character are the main focus of the Kanto story. Emilia isn't the main focus of the Unova book sure she'll be in a few chapters but she's not the main focus of that story

TREVOR: So she won't be like Ash, who is the main focus of the entire Pokemon anime. Very interesting.

EMILIA: Exactly. Well, I am an interesting person.

TREVOR: Yes you are. You keep mentioning this surprise character. Who is it?

EMILIA: Read on as it says at the end of each chapter.

TREVOR: Oh I will. Okay, I know the next question is personal, but I have to ask it or my manager will murder me.

EMILIA: Ok...I don't know if I'm gonna like this question.

TREVOR: Believe me, I am not sure either. When you were a teenager, did you experience the stuff that a normal teenager would experience? Like developing crushes, being sensitive, play sports, etc..

EMILIA: Of course lol. That's normal for ALL teenagers boys & girls. I just wasn't all that interested in prom or anything like that I was more of the tomboy.

TREVOR: So what is a tomboy interested in?

EMILIA: Jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, sports, martial arts, anything that a girly girl wouldn't do.

TREVOR: I see. I guess they hate watching the Kardashians, huh?

EMILIA: Next question, please.

TREVOR: Right...Now then, this is the last personal question I will ask of you. What is your favorite item from the vending machine?

EMILIA: Reese peanut butter cups. I love them.

TREVOR: I believe we have those in our vending machine, but sadly, it is broken.

EMILIA: Aw man! So is that it for the interview?

TREVOR: Well for personal questions, yes. I do have one more question.

EMILIA: Ask away.

TREVOR: If you were to give advice to an inspiring writer, what advice would that be?

EMILIA: Follow your dreams and don't hold back.

TREVOR: That is some great advice.

EMILIA: Thank you.

TREVOR: You're welcome and thank you for coming to the show.

EMILIA: Thanks for having me on.

Trevor grabs the toolbox and gets up from his seat.
