Midnight - Three
The Stone stared between the Doctor and Sky who was still crouched and looking up at the Doctor who now was fixed. He looked like he was trying to fight whatever reached out and grabbed on to him. The Stone swallowed hard trying to wrap her brain around what was happening. "No..." she muttered not believing it.
"Hold on, did she?" Dee Dee pointed at Sky questioningly.
"She spoke first." Jethro said.
"She can't have."
"She did." Professor Hobbes looked between them sharing the shocked expression that all of the passengers had.
"She spoke first."
"Oh, look at that. I'm ahead of you." Sky said mockingly not sounding much like she did when the Stone first spoke to the woman.
"Oh, look at that. I'm ahead of you."
"Did you see? She spoke before he did. Definitely."
"He's copying her."
"Stone, what's happening?" Professor Hobbes asked.
"I think it's moved."
"I think it's moved."
"I think it's letting me go."
"I think it's letting me go."
"What do you mean? Letting you go from what?" Dee Dee asked the Doctor and Sky. The Stone watched in horror, the Doctor was crouched on the floor staring into space as if he was dreaming.
"But he's repeating now. He's the one doing it. It's him." Biff pointed at the Doctor.
"They're separating." Jethro breathed.
"Mrs Silvestry, is that you?"
"Yes. Yes, it's me."
"Yes. Yes, it's me."
"I'm coming back. Listen."
"I'm coming back..."
"It's me."
"Listen. It's me."
"Like it's passed into the Doctor." Jethro tried to wrap his head around the situation. "It's transferred. Whatever it is, it's gone inside him."
"No, that's not what happened." Dee Dee shook her head seeing the worried look in the Stones eyes.
"But look at her." Val protested.
"Look at me, I can move."
"Look at me."
"I can feel again."
"I can move. I can feel again."
She snapped her head up, there was definitely a long delay, he was fighting it. "Come on sweetheart." The Stone moved towards him a little before being pulled back by Dee Dee who slowly shook her head.
"I'm coming back to life."
"I'm coming back to life."
"And look at him. He can't move." She started to smugly smile.
"And look at him. He can't move."
"Help me."
"Help me."
"Professor?" She looked up at him.
"Professor?"
"Get me away from him."
"Get me away from him."
"Please."
"Please." Professor Hobbes wearily moved over and took Sky's hand helping her up. Almost instantly the Stone moved out of Dee Dee's grasp kneeling in front of the Doctor, lightly touching his cheek with the tip of her forefinger swallowing thickly, he looked so distressed and hurt, trapped inside himself, unable to move or think. Lightly she placed her fingertips on his temples before she was forced backwards almost falling to the floor if she didn't grab on to the chairs on either side of her.
Whatever it was inside his head was very strong, too strong, unless it was him using the last of his strength to keep her safe, it was something she knew he would do, she only hoped it wasn't the last of his strength because he had to try and fight it.
"Oh, thank you." Sky smiled as she held her own balance.
"Oh, thank you."
"They've completely separated." Jethro looked between the Doctor who the Stone held in her arms softly stroking his hair.
"It's in him. Do you see?" Biff hissed. "I said it was him all the time."
"She's free. She's been saved." Val looked at Sky.
"Oh, it was so cold."
"Oh, it was so cold."
"I couldn't breathe."
"I couldn't breathe."
"I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry."
"I must have scared you so much."
"I must have scared you so much."
"No, no, it's all right. I've got you." Val held her. "Ooo, there you are, my love. It's gone. Everything's all right now."
"I wouldn't touch her." Dee Dee warned.
"But it's gone. She's clean. It passed into him." Biff said. "If anything she shouldn't be touching him." He nodded at the Time Lady.
"I am not leaving him alone." The Stone looked up at them all her eyes glossed over with tears threatening to spill as she out the words.
"That's not what happened." Dee Dee looked at Biff.
"Thank you for your opinion, Dee, but clearly Mrs Silvestry has been released." Professor Hobbes hissed at her.
"No."
"Just leave her alone." Val snapped. "She's safe, isn't she? Jethro, it's let her go, hasn't it?"
"I think so, yeah." He nodded sadly glancing at the Time Lady trying to comfort the Doctor. "Looks like it. Professor?"
"I'd say, from observation, the Doctor can't move. And when she was possessed, she couldn't move, so..."
"Well, there we are then." Biff nodded. "Now the only problem we've got is this Doctor."
"It's inside his head."
"It's inside his head."
"It killed the driver."
"It killed the driver."
"And the mechanic."
"And the mechanic."
"And now it wants us."
"And now it wants us."
"I said so." Val nodded staring at him.
"He's waited so long."
"He's waited so long."
"In the dark."
"In the dark."
"And the cold."
"And the cold."
"And the diamonds."
"And the diamonds."
"Until you came."
"Until you came."
"Bodies so hot."
"Bodies so hot."
"With blood."
"With blood."
"And pain."
"And pain."
"Stop. Oh, my God, make him stop." Val begged. "Someone make him stop."
"But she's saying it." Dee Dee protested.
"And you can shut up."
"But it's not him, it's her. He's just repeating!" Dee Dee shouted.
"But that's what the thing does, it repeats." Biff looked between them all.
"Just let her talk."
"What do you know? Fat lot of good you've been!"
"Just let her explain." The hostess gritted her teeth.
"I think." Dee Dee swallowed from everyone looking at her. "I mean, from what I've seen, it repeats, then it synchronises, then it goes on to the next stage and that's exactly what the Doctor said would happen. "
"What, and you're on his side?" Biff looked at her.
"No."
"The voice is the thing."
"And she's the voice." Dee Dee pointed at Sky. "She stole it. Look at her. It's not possessing him, it's draining him."
"She's got his voice." The hostess muttered.
"But that's not true, because it can't. Because I saw it pass into him. I saw it with my own eyes." Val protested.
"So did I." Biff nodded with his wife.
"You didn't."
"It went from her, to him. You saw it, didn't you?" Val looked at her son. "I don't know." He looked at her terrified.
"Oh, don't be stupid, Jethro!" She shouted. "Of course you did."
"I suppose he was right next to her."
"Everyone saw it. Everyone!"
"You saw nothing!" The Stone snapped tightly holding on to the Doctor. "What did you see then?" She countered. "Tell me exactly what you saw because to me it looks like you are pressuring your son to agree with you!" She glared at Val.
"You're just making it up." Dee Dee backed up the hurt blonde who was holding the Doctor. "I know what I saw, and I saw her stealing his voice."
"She's as bad as them. Someone shut her up!"
"I think you should be quiet, Dee." He warned.
"Well, I'm only saying..."
"And that's an order!" Professor Hobbes shouted making the woman jump. "You're making a fool of yourself, pretending you're an expert in mechanics and hydraulics, when I can tell you, you are nothing more than average at best! Now shut up!"
"That's how he does it," Sky spoke up again.
"That's how he does it."
"He makes you fight."
"He makes you fight."
"Creeps into your head."
"Creeps into your head."
"And whispers."
"And whispers."
"Listen."
"Listen."
"Just listen."
"Just listen."
"That's him."
"That's him."
"Inside."
"Inside."
"Throw him out," Biff growled. The Stone snapped her head up her eyes cold as she tightened her grip on the Doctor burying his head in her neck.
"Get him out of my head," Val begged.
"Yeah, we should throw him out!"
"Don't just talk about it, just... You're useless!" She screamed. "Do something."
"I will. You watch me. I'm going to throw him out!" Biff shouted starting to move over to the Doctor, the Stone jumped up moving and standing between Biff and the Doctor before swallowing hard, she wasn't exactly the strongest having the same sort of frame as her previous incarnation, slightly thin and shorter than Biff who was quite the opposite to her being a large man who was definitely capable of throwing the both of them out to turn to dust.
"Yes." Sky breathed.
"Yes."
"Throw him out."
"Throw him out."
"Get rid of him."
"Get rid of him."
"Now!"
"Now!"
"Get out of the way." Biff bluntly ordered the Stone who clenched her jaw and tensed her body, she knew he would obviously not take no for an answer and was willing to get herself hurt just for the Doctor's safety, he couldn't defend himself and no one else was trying to protect him so she had to try. "Fine." He spat. "If you won't get out of the way then I will have to force you." He grabbed her shoulders before she punched him right in the nose, her eyes were cold and definitely hurt. The Stone never enjoyed or encouraged violence but this was either life or death. grumbling Biff wiped the small amount of blood from his nose and shoved the blonde to the side causing her to fall to the seats, hitting one of the arms of the seat with her stomach she fell to the ground at the hard blow feeling as if she was going to throw up there and then, the mixture of knowing that Biff was now dragging the Doctor towards the door and the sudden pain in her abdomen.
"Don't!" Dee Dee shouted as Biff gripped under the Doctor's arms starting to pull.
"It'll be you next!" Val shouted pointing at Dee Dee. "Right after her!" She then pointed at the Stone who laid on the floor her vision slightly blurred from the fall and hitting her head on the cold ground as she clutched her stomach trying to breathe after feeling all the oxygen being sucked out of her lungs.
"Don't think we should do this!" The hostess shouted through the panic.
"It was your idea. Professor, help me!" Biff ordered trying to drag the Doctor.
"I can't." He shook his head. "I'm not."
"What sort of a man are you?!" He screamed at him. "Come on!"
"Throw him out!" Val shouted.
"Come on!"
"Just do it!" Throw him out!"
"Help!" Biff shouted. "Professor, help me!" He tried to pull the Doctor who hooked his foot onto a seat.
"Get him out!" Val continued to shout as Jethro pulled on his hair crying at what he was witnessing his parents doing.
"Grab hold of him!" Biff shouted at the professor. "Not like that. Are you stupid?!" He snapped pulling the Doctor towards the door.
"Cast him out." Sky smiled.
"Cast him out."
"Into the sun."
"Into the sun."
"I want him out!" Val screamed.
"And the night."
"And the night."
"Get him out!"
"Come on!" Biff shouted to Jethro who shook his head. "Don't just stand there. Do something!"
"Get him out!"
"Do it."
"Do it."
"Do it now."
"Do it now."
"Faster."
"Faster."
"Just do it" Val screamed again.
"That's the way."
"That's the way."
"You can do it."
"You can do it."
"Molto bene."
"Throw him out!"
"Molto bene."
"Get him out!"
"Allons-y."
"Allons-y."
"Doctor..." The Stone breathed wincing at the pain in her stomach and the strong headache she had.
"That's his voice!" The hostess shouted.
"The starlight waits."
"She's taken his voice!"
"The starlight waits."
"The emptiness."
"The emptiness."
"Get him out!" Val screamed.
"The Midnight sky."
"The Midnight sky."
"It's her." The hostess looked in horror.
"Throw him out!"
"She's taken his voice!" The Hostess quickly grabbed Sky and ran towards the door pulling her behind. She hit the button, everyone started to scream as the bright light filled the bus. "One, two, three, four," she counted, "five, six." The pressure wall collapsed, the hostess and Sky were sucked out as the door closed. The men dropped the Doctor who fell to the ground.
"It's gone. It's gone. It's gone, it's gone, it's gone, it's gone." He breathed deeply laying on his back. "It's gone. It's gone." The Stone managed to pull herself up and over towards him burying her face into his neck holding him tightly. "It's gone, it's gone, it's gone. It's gone, it's gone, it's gone." He repeatedly whispered tightly holding the now broken Time Lady beside him not daring to let her go even for a second.
They held each other for a few moment the Doctor manoeuvred himself, wrapping an arm around her waist pulling her closer to him as she removed her face from his neck staring into his soft brown eyes filled with terror. "I was so worried." She swallowed hard before she grazed the back of her hand lightly on his cheek giving him a soft smile. "I love you."
"I love you too." He softly smiled back lightly pulling her closer for a lingering kiss on her lips, reminding them both that they were now safe and still together. They stayed like that for a few moments holding each other before the Doctor groaned out moving and placing one hand on one of the nearby seats trying to sit up. The Stone forced herself to clench her teeth against the pain and help him allowing the Doctor to put some of his weight on her as he sat up leaning against a chair. The Stone joined him a moment later resting her head on his chest as the two of them held each other, the Stone trying to be as close as possible to the Doctor without hurting him.
"I said it was her." Val looked at them. They both stared at her coldly before she started to shift uncomfortably under their dark gaze, the Stones more than the Doctors who just blankly stared at the woman.

Still in the same position as they were twenty minutes ago the Time Lords along with the other passengers looked up hearing a voice through the speakers. "Repeat. Crusader Fifty rescue vehicle coming alongside in three minutes. Door seals set to automatic. Prepare for boarding. Repeat. Prepare for boarding."
"The hostess." The Doctor looked at the Stone then the other passengers. "What was her name?"
"I was so worried about you..." she swallowed. "I never asked." She hung her head ashamed of herself. The Doctor pulled her over for another tight hug resting his head on hers knowing that she truly was ashamed of it. He didn't want her to be though because she was worried about him. Professor Hobbes looked between the Time Lords, quietly mumbling from where he was sitting. "I don't know."
----------------------------------------------------------------
Finally, safely back the Doctor and the Stone slowly walked up to Donna hand in hand the redhead having a terrified look on her face after she heard what happened. She pulled them both in for a hug just glad that they were both alive and well. After a couple of moment she let them go, they found a small bench the Doctor and the Stone sitting on one side with their fingers entwined with Donna sitting on the other side. "What do you think it was?" She softly asked them both.
"No idea." The Doctor replied.
"Do you think it's still out there?" She asked watching them as they didn't reply to her question before they asked another. "Well, you'd better tell them." She slightly nodded her head to the side. "This lot."
"Yeah." The Doctor nodded. "They can build a Leisure Palace somewhere else. Let this planet keep on turning around an Xtonic star, in silence."
"Can't imagine you without a voice." Donna softly smiled making the Stone give a small smile, the first since the Doctor had been 'freed'
"And to think that sometimes I wished you would shut up." The Stone sighed. "Never going to tell you to stop that gob of your ever again." She hummed leaning her head on his shoulder.
He softly kissed her forehead then looked between them both. "Molto bene."
"Molto bene," Donna said, the Stone swallowed thickly as Donna looked down not thinking about what she just as the Doctor's tone became serious yet soft.
"No, don't do that." He shook his head at her. "Don't. Don't."
