"We must hurry Rain! Before it's too late!" His mate called out to him as they hurried through the caves of their tribes lands. Their kit would be lost without them if they don't get to her quick enough. To wonder why she would go down here is insane! The rivers were rushing faster than before in the caves.
"We might be too late Oak!" Rain panted out as they searched desperately for their kit, but then they heard a loud cry. But it was too quick for them to decipher where it came from.
"No! Not our kit!" Oak wailed as she raced towards the sound, he ran quickly after her so that she wouldn't get caught in the rushing currents as well.
"Oak please!" Rain begged her nipping her tail between his teeth, she glared at him with those blue eyes of hers.
"I have to find her. She's our only hope!" Oak pleaded, her eyes wide with fear and worry.
Rain shook his head at her to make her understand that their kit was lost to the current of the raging river.
"She's gone Oak, I'm sorry." Rain murmured bowing his head in shame, if they had kept a closer eye on their curious kit. Then she wouldn't have been lost to them. She wouldn't have been able to survive that current. Oak wailed out a sad cry and burried her head into his fur.

Moments later they had returned to their camp to tell the tribe the news of their kit.
"Oak, that sings in fierce winds. What has happened?" Flight of small bird greeted them with a worried look at our state of distress and covered in water.
Rain sighed "Our kit was lost to the current deep in the caves where our to-be's do their assessments."
"Not Sun!" Flight exclaimed her eyes growing wide with grief
"We must go on our way to tell the rest of the tribe. As well as the stoneteller." Rain meowed nodding to the entrance of the camp. Flight nodded and stepped aside to let them through, Oak had managed to pull herself together for her appearance in front of her clan. Most cats had looked our way while others continued with their tasks. Rain sighed, and let out a yowl to gain their attention.
Many cats had come to gather around us as we sat in the middle of the clearing, he put his tail around his mates shoulders as of comfort.
"It is with a heavy heart that we lost Sun at winter horizons today due to the rushing current of the caves. We do not know if she was somehow alive and brought to the end of the stream. But, the current is too strong for a young kit like her to survive. I do hope you join me and my mate in a silent Vigil for her tonight." Rain meowed out softly looking to the stars and hoping that she was among the Tribe of endless hunts.
The tribe then joined the mates in the silent vigil for the night, even the healer came out to pay his own respects as he and Rain are close friends.
...meanwhile in Thunderclan territory. A patrol had come across a rushing river, suddenly hearing a small cry for help. "Quickly! Someone's in trouble!" A ginger Tom called out to his patrol. They rushed down the bank of the river and saw a young kit with ginger and white fur.
"Can we get to it?" A young apprentice asked the Tom.
"We should be able to, grab some kind of stick and we'll be able to fish them out." The Tom meowed. The young apprentice nodded and the rest of the patrol searched for a long stick while the tom watched out for the kitten. The kitten had found a rock to hold onto, he wonders how long they would be able to hold on for their rescue mission. The young apprentice managed to find a sturdy stick that won't break, their mentor on the other end, steadying the stick.
The warrior grabbed the stick as well moving it forward towards the kitten, he felt it touch the belly of the kitten and the kitten managed to hang onto the stick. Bringing it safely over to dry land.
"Quick, Honeyheart we must keep it warm!" The Tom ordered the she-cat. They huddled around the young kitten, until it stopped shivering. The young kitten looked no more than a moon old, recently born it seems like.
"We should take her to Taloncall, see what he has to say." Honeyheart suggested as she curled her tail over the young she-cat.
"Maybe we should bring her to Carpsong, she's the only Queen in nursing." He meowed. It was the better option, then Taloncall can check on the kit. The patrol agreed to take the kit to Carpsong and Honeyheart grabbed the kit by its scruff gently and they hurried carefully back to the camp.
Once they reached the camp he ordered the apprentice to tell Talloncall the medicine cat as they brought the kit to the nursery.
"Carpsong! We have an urgent request, please if you would take care of this kit? We found her in the rushing river, after last nights rainfall the river seemed to be rushing even more. She almost drowned but she's so young that she can't be left alone. Please Carpsong." He begged her as Honeyheart set the mewling kit on the ground. Carpsong gave a worried look towards the kit, as it shivered mewling loudly.
"Of course, bring her here next to my kits." Carpsong murmured, Honeyheart nudged the young kit with her nose and the kit managed to find Carpsong's milk, snuggling warmly towards her. Carpsong licked her fur gently, with loving eyes.
The nursery den rustled with Taloncall and Ashpelt by his side. He looked towards the toms, "I hope it's alright Ashpelt that we brought her to your mate."
"That's perfectly fine Brightfur, she's beautiful." Ashpelt purred admiring the new kit, he sniffed the fur gently. "Smells like the tribe!" He meowed his eyes locking with Brightfur's
Brightfur's eyes widened with surprise at the relevation. "How do you know?"
"I've been to their tribe before. And plus they're great friends with Thunderclan so they often seek out Whitestar's assistance." Ashpelt explained. That explains everything, why she would be rushing down a fast river and it carrying down to Thunderclan territory. But why wouldn't she be carried to Riverclan territory?
"I suspect it's her destiny from Starclan to be with us. Otherwise Riverclan might've found her." Brightfur meowed. Everyone watched as Talloncall fussed over the kittens making sure each one was getting along and healthy. Fernkit and Oakkit were recently born last night.
"You have the honor of renaming her then, what would you like to call her?" Taloncall meowed after a while looking up at Ashpelt. The tom eyed the kit after a moment and finally spoke.
"Her name will be Redkit." The name was well suited for her as it matched the color of her fur. She'd be a great warrior to Thunderclan, in due time she will be told who she really is. But for now we'll let her live her destiny.
