The Prophecy - Chapter Two
The cats hissed and were muttering among themselves
"How can we trust her, though? Why is she always right?" asked a strong voice. A small hiss of "Mallowfur, why would you ever say that?" went around the camp, while others were nodding in agreement.
"Mallowfur, she has been wrong before but was partly right," Stripedstar reasoned. "Rouges did attack, but a lot more than the five we were warned of. But still, she did tell us." Some cats still looked suspicious, including Mallowfur, but most looked convinced. Waterdapple narrowed her eyes. 'Badgers,' she thought.

Waterdapple couldn't seem to get comfortable. She hissed as she felt a thorn. She threw it into the back of the den and relaxed. Finally sleep overtook her.
"What do you want?" She asked as a paw poked her. "I'm sleeping." She opened her eyes and sat bolt upright. There were large trees all around her with glittering stars trailing around the branches.
"I'm in StarClan!" she exclaimed. She then realized what was in front of her. There was no cat, but a badger. She bristled. The badger suddenly shrunk into a cat, a perfect copy of her. She shifted into a twoleg, a beaver, a bear, a hare, a fish, into some animals she couldn't name, and into... Timberfur.
"Mother," Waterdapple breathed. The cat smiled and bent down. She tapped her on the head in between her eyes, and a blazing light, so bright she had to close her eyes. When she opened them, she was in her den. Sitting still for a while, Waterdapple yawned.
She pushed out through the brambles, thinking about her strange dream. She nodded to Silentfoot, who was arranging some patrols.
"I'll do a solo hunt patrol today, if you don't need me for the dawn patrol." Silentfoot flicked his tail to show it was fine.
As Waterdapple trotted through the forest, she saw a badger. She bristled. For some reason, she immediately remembered the dream. She wondered how a badger thinks so she wouldn't get killed. She immediately thought like a badger. Suddenly she felt... Clumsy and big. The badger looked frightened. " Don't do that! You... Ahhhh..." The badger ran. Waterdapple looked in the puddle and collapsed. The last thing she noticed was the far-away scent of the dawn patrol.
