ALPHA VINCENZO'S P.O.V. 

The leaves already fallen, coating the grass with its brittle nature. The sun no longer visible, it was hiding behind the moon which glowed from afar. The Moon glowing an unnatural shade of ebony tonight, filling the sky with its dark aura.

I blinked away, sensing movements from my peripheral vision looking down I spotted the source. A wolf stood in the gardens, amongst a lamp post; his face half cast though still visible through our predatory senses.

The wolfs movements caught under the luminescent light, capturing each movement. The wolf bent down, holding onto a large garbage bag.

He turned on his heel, walking directly towards the garden bins. Finally reaching the bin, he took off the lid placing it onto the concrete grounds with a loud clank.

The wolves next movements were rushed, with the snap of his fingers he quickly replaced the new bag with that of the old, his hands moving fluidly as though he repeated the same actions numerous times.

No other wolf was in sight, the windows which surrounded the packhouse reflected the rays of amber emphasising, once again the darkened sky. All wolves had already retreated to their homes or the packhouse, calling it another day in Black Moon.

The wolf suddenly turned his head, his eyes finding mine he continued to stare for several moments until I'd had enough get back to work Malin, you still need to assist the kitchen staff for dinner and clean the Alpha and Beta suites!

The wolf was no ordinary wolf, it was the same wolf who defied orders two weeks ago. The wolf, who I'd requested my most trusted warriors to keep an eye on, any little slip up and it was to be reported to me.

Malin, the previous Beta now held a title most pack wolves had assumed never existed, the title of OMEGA. A rank so low, even those wolves with defects surpassed the title of Omega.

 I smirked once, hearing the annoying huff escape from his lips, discipline is what he lacked and power was something he could never possess nor understand.

Stupid wolf. 

I bent my wrist slightly, to eye the watch which was the sole indicator of the time that I wasted on preparing for today's 'all Alpha's meeting'.

I had the four blessed Alphas heading my way very soon, to address the rogue issues and partnerships which had been lingering for a while.

The density of reports, contracts and files would have been less, if I had an actual plausible Beta. Shit.

I quickly glanced back at my watch, okay I still had time I needed to initiate another Beta before the Alpha's came.

An Alpha without a Beta was an Alpha with two arms and no legs. The Beta was an integral role, which eased the role of the Alpha or in other words completed most of the shit.

Gamma Ethan, get your ass in my office now! you have one minute!

I smirked knowing, he must have been at the training field and the distance between the field and pack house was more than a few meters.

I was still punishing him, for his disrespectful act during the Rogue interrogation; he should have never questioned his Alpha's decision especially in front of a  Rogue.

Any second now...

The door to the office slammed open smacking the wall with a thud, the frames nearby shook from the force.

An exhausted looking Gamma shadowed the doorway, he bent down both hands on each knee, sweat dripping from his forehead and down to his neck and past his collarbone.

His erratic breathing filling the silence in the room, as he continued to take deep breaths attempting to somehow control his p a t h e t i c lungs.

He must train more. Ezekiel growled out, already hesitating on bestowing the title as Beta of Black Moon pack, to a wolf who struggled to recover immediately from a few meters run.

"I--issomethingwrongAlpha?"

Ethan rushed out too quickly, the words were barely audible enough to decipher and understand.

Sighing I glanced back at my wrist, ten minutes I thought to myself, I had to get this shit sorted out quickly.

 "First of all, what the fuck do you think you're doing? How dare you enter my office looking pathetic like that".

"I—"

I held my palm up to stop whatever excuses were to run out of his pathetic mouth. Like a gaping fish he opened then closed his mouth, bowing his head in submission.

"I will be revoking you from your title as Gamma", I growled lowly to emphasise my annoyance.

"A—Alpha with all due respect you can't take away my title from me", I rolled my eyes at the remark. Could he be more dramatic, his acting like a pup who was denied the very last candy on the table.

I leaned forward, clasping my hands in front of the wooden desk, lifting my gaze I glared at the subject in front.

Ethan gulped nervously, not able to withstand the penetrating gaze he was under, "You will become the Beta of Black Moon Pack starting from now".

By the time I had finished my sentence, Ethan's eyes bulged out of their sockets in shock? Apprehension? Anger? I had no idea, nor did I give a shit.

I turned my wrist once again glancing at the time, shit five minutes left.

Looking back up, Ethan seemed to still be in a state of shock his eyes remained affixed on the window behind me. There was no time, I could not wait for him to simply regain his composure... I had to do it.

I stood up from my spot pushing back the chair in a rush, it smacked the wall and bounced back towards the table. Huffing I continued to walk around until I met his familiar brown eyes, staring into them I released what most had feared me for.

It was like a bubble which expanded with each breath I took, the bubble no longer a tangible element as it strengthened. Electrical currents began to race from each corner of the bubble lighting up all edges with a
t r i c k l i n g burst of energy.

I focused on each burst, opening my mind to further explore the brewing hurricane within.

Soon a small smile began to appear on my face, as I noticed the Gamma's face no longer held a shocked expression, instead his face was neutral like blank piece of paper. The paper no longer contained its scribbles, instead it was reset to its clean white finish.

I could hear the crackle of noise, the link I tried to form and create with the Gamma's mind coming to life. This was not the same, as a communicative mind link; it was a link which presented me with the opportunity to manipulate his thoughts and feelings.

You will become the Beta of Black Moon and will happily obliged to all responsibilities. My voice echoed through the link, bouncing off each
d e l I c a t e cell.

This never gets old Ezekiel purred out in pleasure; after tasting the bubbling burst of energy which jolted through the link.

I smirked he was not the only one enjoying himself, the currents which coursed through my veins ignited all my senses tenfold. Allowing me to access the gift the Goddess had bestowed upon me.

The ability to manipulate minds and control emotions.

Some may say I used the abilities for all the wrong reasons; however, I disagree I use it for all the right reasons.

Clearing my throat, the now Beta snapped back to attention. The link no longer there, however, the remnants of the tingles, lifted the small hairs on my neck.

The electric sensation buzzing and humming through my veins encasing me in a forever of power.

"I have a meeting to attend now, keep an eye on Malin and check through the reports on your desk".

"Yes Alpha".

With that I turned on my heel, reaching the door, I halted for a moment remembering one important detail, "Congratulations Beta Ethan, do not disappoint me".

The Beta nodded in response, still tense from his earlier power surge.

"Yes Alpha".

I could still sense Ezekiel's indecision with the current beta, but one I had no choice  and two anyone is better then Malin at this point.

He'll be fine don't worry, if not I'll ensure he is.

Huffing Ezekiel continued to howl inside my head, ah when was his ear-splitting howls going to end, I was beginning to worry that father may have been right after all.

 I may find my mate soon...
