but thinking
makes it so.

A N A S T A S I A'S P.O.V.
Silent waves began to crash, I looked up to notice the darkening clouds becoming a greyish black. A storm was brewing, and I had no idea on why I was staring directly at a shoreline.
I slowly began to tilt my head scanning my surroundings, the beautiful water glistened and smelled of fresh sea salt which became quite alluring for both Roxy and I, as she yipped away.
I began to trek along the shoreline, with each step my feet sinking further into the soft sand beneath my feet it. Each grain filling my feet and creating a heavier weight to move. Which in turn, were making my steps slightly unbalanced, as I began to struggle as though I was in quicksand, my movements becoming sluggish yet joyful and f r e e.
I lifted my nose up inhaling the fresh salty scent, I closed my eyes trying to indulge in the moment, a small smile soon began to appear on small face. Slowly I raised my arms towards the sky and yelled.
"I feel free!".
An unfamiliar sound escaped my lips, I quickly clasped my palm over my mouth, was that sound coming from me?
Again, the sound filled the air around me. Oh, my it feels so long since hearing my own giggle, it became so foreign to me.
I felt free and liberated the sounds of the waves became a soothing melody to my ears. Maybe I had died and gone to heaven. The shoreline quickly became my sanctuary a place I felt at ease.
Sighing I slowly opened my eyes, I blinked a few times to free the black spots that lingered. Once clear, I immediately noticed a figure in the distance, that's strange I thought I was alone here.
The figure started moving, making its way towards me. There was an eerie feel to this stranger, I couldn't quite put my finger on it, soon enough goosebumps began to inflame every inch of my skin. The stranger came closer and closer creating a surreal reaction throughout my body.
As though they were caged all along, butterflies began to flap their wings in the pit of my stomach, demanding to be felt, to fly and to be free. The usual calm thump of my heart, slowly turned into a drumming madness, the beats quickly becoming uncoordinated.
I took a deep breath inhaling the fresh air, Im fine...Im fine, I kept chanting to myself.
"Who are you?", I asked the stranger, though it came out as a faint whisper.
The only response I received was the continued crashing of the waves. Soon after, the wind picked up rustling my hair in front of my face.
I pushed my hair away from my face, huffing as each loose strand fought against my grip. I tucked each strand behind my ears willing for it to stay put.
I looked up again noticing the dark figure tilt his nose upwards sniffing the air. I heard a low menacing growl echo through the shore. The wind bouncing away each octave, increasing the already ominous growl.
Its him Roxy growled.
Who's him?
Our conversation was cut short, as the last step I took was the final step. Time had stilled just for this very moment, the once crashing waves were calmed, as though the water was now replaced with large slabs of concrete.
Suddenly, a ray of light began to shine down onto my sand buried feet, I lifted my fingers to peek through at the source. The hot flame finally decided to make an appearance casting away all darkness in its wake. I grimaced at the sudden intrusion which seeped through my fingers, I began to blink abruptly to re-focus on the source.
That's when the snarls no longer echoed, rather a clearer growl was prominent. I gulped placing my fingers into a saluting position against my head, to shield my eyes from the hot flames.
I took a step back, looking down at the ground as a large shadow encased my body, every line an inch of this shadow, was outlining what seemed to be a masculine figure who was clearly very tall.
He growled again, but this time the shadow came to life, shocks erupted through my face as a callous pointer finger lifted my chin forcing my eyes to meet the stranger.
As both our eyes locked, time began to slip away, each wave came crashing quicker and more fiercely; the wind accelerating making my body jerk back and forth in the stranger's grip. Time no longer slowed instead it quickened dancing along to the tune of my erratic heart.
His eyes resembled the familiar ocean blue, it sparkled under the hot flame, which casted over his features. His jawline replicated that of a Roman God, it was chiselled to perfection. As though, he had Picasso sculpt his entire face with a very careful and calculated stroke.
But what caught my attention most, was the hint of darkness which lingered in both his crystal orbs. As though I had just uncovered a new secret the stranger rewarded me with a sinister smirk. Now afraid of the sudden change, I was beginning to doubt this man had good intentions.
Suddenly he leaned closer, our noses inches away, his hot breath trickled down my skin.
"Thank you for creating such a beautiful scenery, it is unfortunate that it will soon... be littered with every part of your delicate little body", he rasped out.
My body responding to the threat, it began to shake I tried to take a step back, but my feet were glued down to the ground "SHIT", I muttered to myself.
I slowly began to jerk my body around as though I had a hula hoop around my waist. Although I fucken suck at those, who ever thought a hula hoop was a great invention needs to rethink their ideas, by the time I could get one spin the damn hoop would slip past my ass.
Quickly enough his large callous arms gripped my neck forcing me up from my current position.
"L-Leave me alone!", I croaked out.
"Now Now don't worry little mate it will be over soon", he growled out.
I continued to squirm in his hold, then stopped when the words registered with me.
Its him Its him, Roxy chimed.
SHIT!
I was in such a compromising position one move and he could snap my neck. Calm down Anna you control this scenery, Roxy informed me.
I took in a deep breath, refilling my lungs with much needed oxygen despite the constraints on my neck. I dared a final look into his eyes.
"Not now, not ever mate", I growled out.
With that, the world around me began to crash down, the sky collapsing, as clouds were dropping down with loud thuds on the sand. The water beginning to disappear as though someone drew the plug out of the tub.
My legs no longer stuck in the sand, I swung them up hitting his arm. Which sent me crashing down flat on my ass, I looked up to notice his wide eyes he tilted his head to the side in confusion but before he could say anything he began to disappear.
It started with his legs first, they crumbled away turning into thick dust. The wind raged away, carrying the specks; soon enough his arms disappeared then his upper body leaving nothing of him.
I sighed in relief it's time for us to go back Anna I nodded in response closing my eyes I slowly began to lie down on the sand, my body quickly following orders knowing what to do.
I began to fall through, my body dropping down through several empty walls, it was endless until I finally dropped onto something hard. I knew I was back once I heard a man's voice fill the room.
"You're awake good, I bought you some clothes. You should get changed quickly; you don't have long".
I was still in shock, was that a dream, how the fuck did I manage to escape it! how did he disappear!!
My mind began to cycle through the dream how was it possible?
My forehead was filled with perspiration, my throat utterly dry this was the third time his tried to kill me. I took a shaky breath in, shaking my head refusing to let myself crumble, for a mere Animal.
The man cleared his throat, I looked up to see him staring with curious eyes.
"I know who you are, I am not going to hurt you. My name is Ethan I am the current Beta of the Black Moon Pack. I thought you might need some clothes I'm sure you don't want to be walking around with a hospital gown on you... right?", he said sweeping his fingers up and down to motion the gown his was talking about.
I looked down at my gown gripping the edges tightly. I nodded in response not trusting my voice to come out smoothly.
"Good, let me know if you need anything Luna".
There it is again, another person who entrusted me as there Luna, little did they know their Alpha was some sick psychopath who clearly wanted to get rid of me.
Seeing the man stand in between the doorway, I nodded assuring him I was fine. Well at least the beta is kind and thoughtful.
Once I heard the door close, I slowly moved my legs to the side of the hospital bed. I placed both my arms on either side of me trying to push myself up, immediately I regretted it as pain shot through like electrifying currents through my neck down to my stomach.
I reached for the pile of clothes and clutched it between my shaky fingers, quickly turning around in the direction of the bathroom. Each agonising step I took towards the joint bathroom, sent tiny yet powerful pins and needles to my legs.
Suddenly a wave of water gushed within my stomach, making me feel extremely nauseous. I glanced at the nearest wall and pushed myself to lean against it, breathe Anna breathe, Roxy chanted.
Slowly I closed my eyes taking a deep breath in and let it escape through my dry lips. I kept repeating the same cycle until I could feel the wave settle and become still.
I slowly peeked my eyes up again to notice a looming figure hovering over me, feeling panicked I quickly tried to push off the wall only to trip over my own foot. The looming figure clutched its fingers on my forearm sending me straight to their chest.
Omph
"I'm sorry", I whispered.
A light chuckle sounded through the room, out of curiosity I lifted my head to the side, only then did I notice I was in the arms of a female nurse. I squinted my eyes to get a better look at her, she had soft brown eyes accompanied by a set of thin eyebrows.
Her blonde curls bounced around her shoulders giving it a lively aura. I took a hesitant step back out of her arms and cleared my throat while my right hand reached the back of my neck giving it a light scratch.
"It's okay! I'm sorry if I startled you, I came to check up on your vitals, but I noticed you were slouched on the wall and thought I'd help you out!", the nurse squeaked out loudly, clearly she was the joyful one of the lot.
I kept glaring at her trying to understand why she was so nice, I was a rogue after all. I mean every other nurse gave me strange looks, so I was quite startled with her sincerity. Noticing the expectant look in her eyes I nodded, maybe she would leave me alone now.
"Oh, how silly of me! I forgot to mention I'm Hanna, well nurse Hanna but you could just call me Hanna, what's your name?", she asked so politely which only added to my stunned expression.
My name was for me to keep, I was not about to let anyone collect information on me just to forward it to their Alpha. I couldn't risk nor would I take any chances of anything like that happening.
When she finally noticed I would not speak, she replaced her disappointment quickly with a warm smile and waved her hand in front of me.
Come this way, I'll help you get changed with the hand she waved off before, she quickly tucked it underneath my arm gently guiding me to the bathroom. Once in the bathroom she helped me slip on the black bra and underwear while also looking away to give me some form of privacy which I appreciated.
Soon after I slipped on the turquoise summer dress which the beta had given me.
Finally, with the nurses help I was able to put on the sneakers which accompanied the outfit.
"Thank you", I rushed out to the nurse.
"Pftt you don't need to thank me, it's my job", she waved me off again.
Suddenly the nurse tensed up and let out a squeak before rushing out of the bathroom, before I had the chance of asking her what happened, the door slammed open.
"I know you're here! where are you hiding?", I gulped the familiar woodsy scent filled my nostrils mate mate mate, Roxy chanted I rolled my eyes more like serial killer.
Before I could walk out of the bathroom he stormed in, engulfing the already small bathroom with his muscular figure. I looked up into his blue orbs glaring at them, daring them to disappear or realise the scrutiny they were under.
But of course, he did not even flinch once, instead he came closer leaning down.
"Were leaving now, so hurry up".
"What we—".
Before I could finish my sentence, his large callous fingers gripped onto my forearm immediately an unworldly sensation passed through my weak joints. The tingles I've always heard about danced across my cold skin forcing each joint to tense with anticipation.
I took a deep breath, willing my racing thoughts to keep calm stupid wolf, I muttered clearly Roxy was playing a major part in my hormonal swings.
A growl escaped his lips "listen here all of this—", he pointed between myself and him "bullshit will be over soon, so I suggest you shut your mouth and do as I say".
"Oh really, well great I CANT WAIT! I hate this bullshit", I emphasised loudly, well his not the only one who thinks the moon goddess screwed up big time, pairing me up with him.
Growling he turned on his foot quickly gliding out of the bathroom passed the main door, I had to jog a bit to finally catch up to him which only caused more painful tingles down my legs. Once in the main lobby, I felt the curious eyes which drifted up and down my body, I raised my head up to glare down at each nurse.
I quickly met the eyes of one and she immediately looked away cowards. I continued to walk forward while keeping my head up high, after all I was not letting anyone look down on me.
Once a warm smack of air slapped my skin, I noticed I was outside. I quickly scanned the field taking in every inch and marking it to memory in any case I crossed the assholes land by mistake.
The field was empty guess no ones training, but tilting my head to the side a tall building probably 5 or 6 stories tall was there, it was lit with beautiful crystal garden lights, the exterior housed a few white pillars which held up some very large balconies.
Immediately a loud growl echoed through the trees, "hurry the fuck up", he growled out. I turned my head to glare back at him, only then noticing the few meters distance between us, I tilted my head towards the pack house then back to him I must have been too caught up, admiring the scenery.
"Fine", I muttered before jogging back to him, which closed the distance I had created unintentionally.
He growled again annoyingly before storming back off, I'm beginning to think he enjoys growling. I subconsciously reached for my throat as the thought of the effects made it go dry.
Sighing I continued my walk but slightly accelerating my pace this time, hey If I can avoid hearing that idiot growl I would do exactly that.
Though one persistent thought continued to bounce around my mind....
Where exactly were we going?...
