After finishing Renesmee's hair, the family came back from hunting and the other half left causing me to be nervous knowing Bella will be back, but thankfully so will Jasper. I also tried to find something to eat, but nothing seemed to appeal to me or my baby so I ended up just grabbing more water and waiting for my husband to return.

"Mother? Can I go play in the snow?" Renesmee asks excitedly wasting no time in asking making me giggle.

"Sure sweetie. Jake and I will go with you." Bella smiles down at her daughter and I see the question forming on Ness's face and I brace myself.

"Can Auntie Soph come as well?"

At this point she's bouncing up and down, her whole body vibrating with excitement. I watch as Bella tenses before looking back at me her eyes narrowing just a fraction and then back to her daughter, finally noticing  the change in her daughter's hair and I wait for an explosion.

"I don't know baby. It's quite cold out there, Sophia might not want to be out in it." I can hear the acidic sweetness coming from my sister, but it doesn't deter her daughter one bit.

"She already said she'd love to!"

That sentence seals my fate... I feel Jasper stand closer, more protective as we both wait and watch Bella's reaction and I internally cringe. I feel her anger before I can see her face, and I'm caught between not wanting to get into it in front of Ness and not wanting to disappoint my niece.

"Ness honey, my tummy isn't feeling as good as it was earlier, so maybe next time we can all go in the snow, yeah?" I see her face fall a little, but notice her eyes drift to my growing bump and understanding seems to cross her little face. She bounces back though, looking at me with a radiant smile.

"That's okay Auntie Soph! I know you've gotta take care of your baby too!"

She hugs me tightly, which I return, but I felt the flare in Bella's anger and I know once the child is asleep, all hell will break loose. I notice Alice also begin to drift closer, and in that moment I'm thankful for Jake as he begins to shuffle Ness outside forcing Bella to follow suit or risk her daughter questioning. Once they left, the house relaxed and I shake my head getting frustrated that it has to be like this. I also can't help but wonder how long Bella is gonna keep acting like this..because it's not like it's new anymore. She's had time to come to terms with it and has refused to..we shouldn't have to walk on eggshells.

"Why don't you come with me real quick." Jasper refills my water, bringing it back to where I was still standing, and offering me his hand.

"Alright. Everything okay?" I ask and am put to ease by the relaxed smile on his face.

"Yes darlin' I just have something to show you."

He smiles and with my own smile I take his hand and we take a quick walk through the snow covered forest. As we kept walking, I never realized just how much land the Cullen's owned out here. I knew well enough that Rose and Emmett and now Edward and Bella had houses out here, and they've got to be spaced out well enough, I just have never explored too far in these forests. We take a separate path one that begins to lead down towards the river and I'm curious as to where we're going.

"I know the last month or so has been a little stressful trying to find a place of our own, so that three of us aren't living in the same room. And unbeknownst to me until just recently, Carlisle and Esme were already four steps ahead." Jasper explains and my curiosity peaks, but I gather it's about the house.

"Turns out, they have a lot more land out here than I originally thought." Jasper chuckles making me laugh that we were on the same train of thought.

"They've been working on this ever since we planned the wedding. It was going to be done sooner, but you know...there were other things to be dealt with."

Both of us roll our eyes, knowing exactly what he meant. Although it warms my heart to know this was in progress before everything happened. There finally becomes a break in the trees as I hear the river running nearby, and I'm met with such a beautiful sight.

An angular roof reaches skyward giving room to windows letting in walls of natural light, and no doubt a lively glow at night. The spacious deck wraps all the way around as we step up onto it and my heart is so full, I can't believe this place is ours. Walking in the front door, I notice a warm fireplace to the left opening up to a cozy living room and dining area. The stairs lead to the upper floor in between the dining room and quaint little kitchen. Jasper leads me through the kitchen to a room positioned under the stairs, and as he opens the door I'm met with floor to ceiling bookshelves covered in books that I cannot wait to read.

"Where did you find all these?" I ask Jasper in awe looking back to see a wide smile on his face.

"I've been collecting them over the years. Ones I know I would enjoy, but also others I knew that you would enjoy if we were to ever make our way back to each other." I'm at a loss for words at hearing this and just decide to wrap Jasper in my arms, conveying everything that way.

"Come, there's more I'd like to show you." He places a kiss on my forehead before bringing me out of our library and towards the stairs.

We climb the wooden stairs and as we reach the top, it opens up into another lounge area with a couple chairs that face the open windows looking like the perfect reading nook. French doors to the left lead to a spacious master bedroom with a wall of windows on the far side. A massive king bed sits on the middle of the far wall, two bedside tables and warm lamps on either side. Complete with a walk-in closet and a bathroom big enough to share, he leads me from our room to the next door down the hall.

Opening the door, I am met with a beautiful neutral nursery, the furniture all built and ready, but enough things left for me to be able to design this nursery and make it our own. I turn to Jasper with tears in my eyes and am at a loss for words.

"Jasper...this is incredible. All of this."

"We deserved our own space, and our baby deserves their own space. This place we can grow together as a family." I kiss him tenderly, trying to put all of my emotion into the kiss not knowing if I'd be able to put it into words. It's finally beginning to feel safe and real.
