Ignis

I woke up at dusk, the first words coming out of my mouth being, "How long has it been?"

"A day," Erik said sitting next to my bed. I winced and sat up, a headache beginning to form. "Just rest,"

"No, I need to do something," I got out of my bed, Erik just stared after me as I walked through the corridors.

You have a few hours left before I meet you, where do we meet up? I asked the voice.

Go outside the castle walls. It simply replied, no refusal of my presence nor warnings. Besides, I wanted to get out before I had to deal with the whole identity thing.

The essence of answers drew me to walk through the streets. I subconsciously turned myself invisible after the first few reactions from the people I walked past. Most were rushing back to their houses and I remembered how a few days previously I had met Budder. A lot could happen in a few hours, I fought, two different times, performed in front of people, something I had never done and fell unconscious twice.

I wondered when the prophecy was going to pass, once it was finished I could return to a quiet life, be free. That was all I wanted, to be free of restraint, with Erik and Tom. To fly over the land on horses, to breathe the cold snap of nature's air. Let saltwater dry on my bare skin and hear the crashing of the waves.

I had reached the castle walls and managed to slip outside before they closed the gates for the night. The fear of being hurt didn't affect me, night was more a time of peace for me. It was a time where I could be lost in my thoughts and not be interrupted.

I reached the treeline and walked through the forest. Occasionally I saw a mob of some sort, hunting human flesh the way I once did. Lost in my thoughts, I came to a clearing where the moon shone directly above.

I'm here now, where are you? I asked the voice.

Just wait, it purred.

Before me, an expanding of darkness began to grow, almost like a star slowly reaching out. A figure stepped out, the only light emitting from it were his eyes.

"Ignis," I stated simply, I knew of him, but not of his past. Herobrine had very similar powers to Ignis, the Witherlord.

"The child of Herobrine," it purred, it's voice sinister, "how very nice to finally meet you,"

"I would say the same, but I'm not. Where is your master? And where are the answers you promised me?"

"Patience child, all will be revealed in due time, those answers that you wished for," he held out his hand, "are ready, but to see the future, you must know the past,"

I cautiously took his thick hand, knowing that nothing good was going to come out of this.

Three teenaged boys were mining deep into the Earth, two looked almost identical. The other, obviously the older one, lead the way. The boys went down a mineshaft, joking about a girl called Em, they were teasing one of the twin like boys. None of them had the silvery golden aura that came with their powers. With a start, I realised that this was Notch, Steve and my father. Before my father died and his brothers left him.

They started exploring an abandoned mineshaft, the only conversation between them being the decision of which way they should travel. The boys were tiring and their utilities were beginning to show wear, eventually they reached a large room.

Inside, the only source of light was a glowing orb, young Notch slowly walked forwards and his fingertips brushed it. He stumbled away from it as if it had shocked him. "Weird," he muttered, rubbing his hand.

A low groan resonated throughout the room, the wall blasted open and a wave of monsters entered. Waves of creepers, skeletons and zombies entered, further behind were more dangerous mobs. A glow of purple and darkness showed that the Ender Drangon had arrived.

"Run!" Herobrine cried, shock wild in his eyes, slightly different in height to Steve.

Steve scrambled back into the mineshaft, Notch quickly following. "What are you doing?" Notch cried at Herobrine.

"Buying you time, go!" Herobrine turned back to the monsters.

"No!" An outside voice cried.

I was pulled from the vision as I saw older Herobrine appear in the clearing, Erik following quickly behind.

"Don't!" Herobrine growled, sword at the ready.

"He arrives!" Ignis cried happily, then snarled, "the one who destroyed my life and took my power,"

"Let. Her. Go." Herobrine growled evenly.

I tried to tug my hand out of Ignis' grasp but he clutched tighter. Notch arrived, Tom behind him and the rest of Team Crafted followed. Tom looked to me, ready to run to me if it wasn't for Budder pushing him back.

I'm ok, I mouthed to him.

"You know what? I think I'll keep her for a little while longer, I know someone who will have a very good use for her,"

Herobrine rushed forwards but my vision was already beginning to swim a deep purple. Teleportation felt like floating super fast without being able to see where you were going.

I fell to the floor with a gasp of surprise and quickly surveyed my surroundings. I was on a rectangular island, a throne of darkness the only other feature. It was in a cavern of some sort, stretching high out of sight, the only light came from the river of lava, flowing around the island.

Ignis appeared at the right side of the throne, grinning. A spurt of rage overcame me and I stormed towards him and pushed him into the river of lava. He fell back with a cry and I watched with sickly pleasure as he burned away.

I heard a tsk tsk sound and realised the throne was now occupied, "Little girls shouldn't be mean like that,"

"Who are you? What do you want?" I glared, knowing that my eyes were now glowing with fury.

"I am Dante, Hell, The Voice In the Darkness, and what I want is your power,"
