I jolted to a loud noise outside, and a barrelful of cursing. I was immediately on high alert, swinging my quiver over my shoulder and strapping my sword to my side. Erik and Tom and warned me to be on high alert at all times.

I knocked on Tom's door, furiously hoping that he was fully clothed, then let myself in.

"Eva?" He asked curiously, luckily it was dark enough for him not to see my blush.

"There's someone outside," I whispered to him, Tom cursed and sat up, grabbing his pack of emergencies, and weaponry.

Tom grabbed an alert Erik, who suited up. Together we crept downstairs, Erik leading the way, me next, then Tom holding up the rear.

Erik managed to get a good look at the people in our living room, and swore. "We need to get out of here now, Tom get the horses ready, Eva, you go with them. I'll hold them off so you guys can get them tacked up. I'll meet you at our spot," Erik nodded at Tom.

"Who are out there?" I asked in a whisper.

"The Royal Guard, even though I'm supposed to be dead, I'm sure my father has his suspicions and they're still looking for Tom, despite what he did,"

"This is my fault," my voice broke. "If I hadn't come you would be-"

"Moving anyway," Tom said gently, cupping my face in his hand, "this just told us that we were getting slack. It was my fault for wanting to stay so long,"

"Okay, go," Erik said, shooing us off, "I'll see you soon,"

"Good luck Erik, I don't want you getting caught," I whispered at him.

"Neither do I," he whispered back.

Tom lead me outside to where the horses were tethered, they seemed a bit wary of me. It took some convincing but eventually they let me ride them. Tom saddled up another horse just for Erik. After taking out the Guards on perimeter, I opened the gates, letting all the animals go.

Tom estimated that there was about forty guards, based on previous experiences and tactics. He believed that there was about anywhere to ten to twenty inside, ten on perimeter and fifteen surrounding on an outer circle, a kilometre or so outwards, just in case we managed to get away.

He said that the ones in the outer circle would be the main problem.

We waited for Erik to escape, as every seconds passed my hope dropped a bit further. Tom muttered words of encouragement but I could see that he was beginning to give up.

"Eva, I -"

"Don't," I said, "we can't just leave him behind,"

"Eva, we have to go,"

Then the back door burst open and a running Erik emerged. My short lived hope was discarded as I saw the pursuit of five soldiers.

"Come on Erik!" I cried. He made a mad dash for the horse, and mounted in a swift movement.

We kicked our horses forwards into a canter watching as the house grew smaller. The horses jumped over roots and ducked under trees. My sweaty hands gripped the saddle, I barely spent the breath to scream.

We seemed to have evaded them, until the horse tripped and fell. I hit the ground with a grunt, and luckily hadn't broken anything. Tom and Erik's horses had also fallen, but they were some way ahead of me.

I crawled over to the unmoving horse, my heart caught in my throat. Tears began to build in my eyes, "please, please, please," I whispered, hearing the distant shouts of the guards on the outer circle.

"Eva!" Erik shouted.

The horse neighed and I noticed it's leg was sticking at an unnatural angle. Aside from the leg, the horse should be fine. I managed the willpower to tear my eyes away from the painful sight.

Guards closed in a tight circle around me, "Careful boys," one of them grunted, "this is Herobrine's daughter, I wonder what he'll be like if we take her to the king,"

I slung my bow over my shoulder and unsheathed my sword.

"Fight me," I snarled.

"Incoming!" Erik shouted, a helmet concealing his face.

Erik ran over the guards, reached down and swept me up onto the back of the horse. I held on to his waist, clutching tightly.

We caught up to Tom, guards still pursuing, and kept riding until the sun rose.

A/N: So a little Eva+Tom action there AND Erik too, who do you think she'll end up with? Sorry that I didn't update until late, there might not be an update tomorrow though.
